OVER THE PAST DECADE, AUSTIN-BASED TROUBADOUR REBECCA LOEBE... …has been steadily building her audience the old fashioned way: driving hundreds of thousands of miles in an old station wagon, performing in listening rooms and theaters across the US, Canada, Japan, Europe, and the UK. During her last radio interview in England, an announcer for the BBC declared “Your voice should be available for free on the National Health!” Her singing voice landed her on national television when she was cast on the first season of NBC’s The Voice. Ask her about that experience and she’ll proudly tell you that, since her mentorship with Adam Levine, “His career has really skyrocketed and I’m just so proud of that boy.” Lately she’s been indulging a sneaky pastime. “I like to write catchy songs about topics that are meaningful to me, but use fun hooks to put words in people’s mouths.” She admits, “My favorite thing is to get people singing along before they even realize they’re singing about women’s equality or their own self-worth.” In 2019, she released her fifth studio album, her first collaboration with the Grammy nominated Houston-based record label Blue Corn Music. The genre-bending album borrows equally from the worlds of intimate folk, ear wormy pop, and no-holds-barred Americana. Refusing to pledge allegiance to any single genre was a creative gamble that has paid off in a big way: Give Up Your Ghosts has received the best press of Loebe’s career including praise from Billboard, Rolling Stone, and legendary rock critic Dave Marsh, who said: “Once I put it on I couldn’t take it off.”

Suddenly locked down during the pandemic only four months into their marriage, Jeremy Rosenblum and Erin Sydney founded the post-punk/indie-pop project 37 Houses to express the frustrations that come with the complications and difficulties of even the best of relationships.&nbsp; With Rosenblum writing songs and Sydney lending her voice to the vocals, they recorded their debut self-titled album entirely in their own living room. The album, released November 2024, draws influence from artists ranging from post-punk greats like Sharon Van Etten and indie pop artists like Built to Spill, Pulp, and Modest Mouse.

On the new Cold Wrecks album 'You Can't Plan for This', the Brooklyn indie punk four-piece returns with their trademark frantic energy, back-and-forth vocals, and vulnerable lyrics, as they navigate grief, growth, responsibility, and feeling overwhelmed, through a collection of pop-punk, emo, and rock songs. The album comes out August 7 (vinyl &amp; digital preorder available now on bandcamp), and was recorded by the band themselves in Craig's basement, mixed by Bobby Edge, and mastered by Jesse Cannon, with art by Brittany Fetcho. Hey Girl Slow Down Hey Girl Slow Down emerged from Westchester, NY, forged by the camaraderie of Jake Goldin, Cory Haberman, and Steve Ranellone. Across Body Horror, Buy Your Own Toys, and Tumbling Down the Up Escalator, they embraced wide-ranging influences, tightened into faster drums and riffier riffs, and turned quarter-life-crisis dread into songs that are desolate, hilarious, and danceable all at once. This Bar Freda show marks the band’s first show in many years. Oceans in the Sky Oceans in the Sky is Liam Frost’s high-energy project, blending soaring pop melodies with punk energy and multilingual lyrics. Now performing as a full band, they released their debut album Parallels in 2023 and toured throughout the U.S., Canada, and Taiwan from 2023 to 2025. Signed to Heading East Records, run by Fred Mascherino (Taking Back Sunday), their latest release Parallels (Deluxe) was co-produced by Jon Markson (The Story So Far) and mastered by Brian Lucey (Green Day, Post Malone). It explores themes of identity and belonging while bridging Western and Eastern musical influences. Connor Lin Frost Burlington, VT-based Taiwanese-American artist Connor Lin Frost is a trumpeter, songwriter, and producer who explores themes of isolation, loss, and identity through dramatic strings and emotional brass that define his “chamber-pop” style. Drawing inspiration from Sufjan Stevens, The Postal Service, and Owl City, Frost uses storytelling-driven lyrics to invite listeners into deeply personal experiences. Since releasing his debut single “Real Friends” in December 2024, he has consistently released new self-produced music every 4-8 weeks. Frost previously fronted the NY-based pop-punk band Dizzy Bats for over a decade, touring across the U.S. and internationally from 2012 to 2023. Morgan Cole Brown Morgan Cole Brown is a singer-songwriter from Boston and a working artist in New York City. A founding member of Jump Start, The Amy Incident, and Infinite Weekend, he has also released his first solo album, Watching Your Friends Get Famous. Morgan has been developing Infinite Weekend as an independent collective/label, with new releases throughout 2025, and is currently working on his follow-up album.

May 16th, New York Rock n Roller, Dan Miraldi will be celebrating the release of his upcoming single "Magic in the Air" with a full-band matinee blow out at Ridgewood's Bar Freda. He'll be supported by power-poppers Robert Gay &amp; the Alarms and singer-songwriter Nathan Hedges. If you're a fan of retro 1960/70's flavored pop-rock, this is the show for you. More about Dan Miraldi: Dan Miraldi is the definition of prolific. In his solo career alone, the New York-based and Cleveland-born musician has released eight full-length albums and eight EPs. 2026 finds Miraldi not letting up. He continues blending his signature style of singer-songwriter storytelling and vulnerability with the crowd-pleasing joy of the power-pop and rock and roll genres. His latest single, “Magic in the Air,” arrives this spring on Steven Van Zandt's Wicked Cool Records. The song, a duet with garage rock legend Palmyra Delran, proves Miraldi’s musical powers are as strong as ever. After years of songwriting, recording and DIY van tours, Dan Miraldi is a musical journeyman who can already look back on an adventure-filled career. As a two-time John Lennon Songwriting Contest Finalist, he has shared concert bills with an eclectic bunch of performers such as J. Roddy Walston &amp; the Business, Nelly, Wiz Khalifa, the Wailers, Wally Bryson of the Raspberries, Beatle offspring James McCartney, Fiery Furnaces, and even Wang Chung. Miraldi adds, “I love making music and performing. Sometimes it is loud rock and sometimes it is quieter and folky. Regardless, it is always done with sincerity. It’s something I need to do. I don’t know how to stop. I keep pressing on and hope that the best is still to come.”

Hosted by Mike Alfieri Drummer, educator and sound artist Mike Alfieri is known for his noise-derived solo music with Sensory Percussion as well as his work with experimental pop group Tomato Flower. Alfieri plays solo noise sets exploring sound design concepts using Sensory Percussion with "no-input mixing" techniques to create his own technique dubbed "no-input drumming." Behind the kit, Mike has toured widely performing in theaters, DIY venues, art galleries, jazz clubs and repurposed spaces across the US and abroad alongside ground-breaking artists such as Susan Alcorn, Matmos, Melt Banana and Animal Collective. His recorded and performance work has been featured by NPR, Pitchfork, Stereogum, Paste, The Quietus and more. As an educator, Mike teaches high school in NYC, was an advisor for the National Humanities Center and has been a featured education columnist for Modern Drummer Magazine. Mike studied with John Riley at SUNY Purchase where he earned a Master's in Jazz Studies.

She released her debut EP, huckleberries &amp; lullabies, on Nov. 5, 2025. Out everywhere except Spotify Jackie Ward: Jackie Ward (they/them) is a New York-based musician/composer/producer raised in West London. Their second album "Rites of Passage" is out now. In 2022 they released their debut album Sounds Of The Scrubland and signed to indie label friend's house records. Their music is inspired by coming of age, London, friendship and a wide array of sounds ranging from indie to ambient to post-rock. In 2022 they also dropped the "95% BILLBOARD" mixtape under electronic side project Ambedo as well as the collaborative ambient EP "You Never Left My Mind (A Tourist)", created live-in-bedroom-studio with Pakistani musician April Nail. In 2023, they returned with "Paradise Lost," the first single to Rites of Passage. Izzy Hedges: NYC based Folk singer-songwriter Izzy Hedges plans to unveil her debut EP ‘Foxhole,’ fall of 2026. An album which details her experiences living across the Midwest and womanhood, all while embracing the slowness and unwavering nature of hardship that comes with the ‘ending’ of adolescence. Known Moons Milwaukee’s Known Moons seamlessly blend bouncy alternative-indie rock and dream pop. Full of lo-fi drum machines and fuzzy synths, the group juxtaposes smooth electronic indie pop against complex, emotional lyricism. Originally formed as a recording project by Andrew James, with collaborators Elliott Douglas (M.A.G.S.) and Josh Evert, the trio released the first Known Moons EP Everything Is on February 13, 2024. Due to the positive reception to the songs, Known Moons began to branch outside of the studio and now consistently performs regionally and beyond. Since shifting to a more traditional band, the lineup has expanded to include Ben Giddens (bass) and Danny Walkowiak (drums) as permanent members while Douglas and Evert remain on as writing and recording partners. Giddens can be found contributing bass to each of the songs on the band's new EP Beginning to End. In addition to the expanded permanent lineup, Known Moons also enlisted a few guests to help elevate the sonic landscape of the new songs. Steve Lamos of American Football contributes a trumpet solo to the EP’s lead single “TIME,” which also features The Happy Fits’ Calvin Langman on cello. Langman also adds cello to the EP’s title track, as well as the EP’s second single “Under the Sword” which features Connor Erickson of Barely Civil on guest vocals. The band tapped Sean Hirthe (Saxophone on “Under the Sword”) and Lora Kosanke (Violin on “Beginning to End”) to round out the recording lineup. Like its predecessor, Beginning to End was recorded and mastered by Josh Evert at Silver City Studios in Milwaukee, WI, and was mixed by Elliott Douglas in Kansas City, MO. Miles Francis is an artist, producer, drummer, songwriter, singer, musician, guitarist, mogul, tastemaker, performer, pop darling, influencer, actor, instrumentalist and multi-hyphenate born and raised in New York City. He has collaborated with Will Butler (Arcade Fire), Antibalas, Sharon Jones &amp; the Dap-Kings, Amber Mark, Angelique Kidjo, EMEFE and The Beatles. His new single is “Service,” a 2.5 minute alt-pop romp about blind devotion. The catchy track, recently hailed as an “alt-pop romp,” prominently features Miles’ unique Sound that has been described as catchy, unique, and stunning.
