May 16th, New York Rock n Roller, Dan Miraldi will be celebrating the release of his upcoming single "Magic in the Air" with a full-band matinee blow out at Ridgewood's Bar Freda. He'll be supported by power-poppers Robert Gay &amp; the Alarms and singer-songwriter Nathan Hedges. If you're a fan of retro 1960/70's flavored pop-rock, this is the show for you. More about Dan Miraldi: Dan Miraldi is the definition of prolific. In his solo career alone, the New York-based and Cleveland-born musician has released eight full-length albums and eight EPs. 2026 finds Miraldi not letting up. He continues blending his signature style of singer-songwriter storytelling and vulnerability with the crowd-pleasing joy of the power-pop and rock and roll genres. His latest single, “Magic in the Air,” arrives this spring on Steven Van Zandt's Wicked Cool Records. The song, a duet with garage rock legend Palmyra Delran, proves Miraldi’s musical powers are as strong as ever. After years of songwriting, recording and DIY van tours, Dan Miraldi is a musical journeyman who can already look back on an adventure-filled career. As a two-time John Lennon Songwriting Contest Finalist, he has shared concert bills with an eclectic bunch of performers such as J. Roddy Walston &amp; the Business, Nelly, Wiz Khalifa, the Wailers, Wally Bryson of the Raspberries, Beatle offspring James McCartney, Fiery Furnaces, and even Wang Chung. Miraldi’s works can regularly be heard on SiriusXM’s Channel 21 – Little Steven’s Underground Garage. Two of his songs recently hit the big screen in American High’s coming-of-age comedy Sid is Dead. Connor Lin Frost Burlington, VT-based Taiwanese-American artist Connor Lin Frost is a trumpeter, songwriter, and producer who explores themes of isolation, loss, and identity through dramatic strings and emotional brass that define his “chamber-pop” style. Drawing inspiration from Sufjan Stevens, The Postal Service, and Owl City, Frost uses storytelling-driven lyrics to invite listeners into deeply personal experiences. Since releasing his debut single “Real Friends” in December 2024, he has consistently released new self-produced music every 4-8 weeks. Frost previously fronted the NY-based pop-punk band Dizzy Bats for over a decade, touring across the U.S. and internationally from 2012 to 2023. Morgan Cole Brown Morgan Cole Brown is a singer-songwriter from Boston and a working artist in New York City. A founding member of Jump Start, The Amy Incident, and Infinite Weekend, he has also released his first solo album, Watching Your Friends Get Famous. Open Noise Jam, bring your gear and make some noise. Free improvisation. Hosted by Mike Alfieri Drummer, educator and sound artist Mike Alfieri is known for his noise-derived solo music with Sensory Percussion as well as his work with experimental pop group Tomato Flower. Alfieri plays solo noise sets exploring sound design concepts using Sensory Percussion with "no-input mixing" techniques to create his own technique dubbed "no-input drumming." Behind the kit, Mike has toured widely performing in theaters, DIY venues, art galleries, jazz clubs and repurposed spaces across the US and abroad alongside ground-breaking artists such as Susan Alcorn, Matmos, Melt Banana and Animal Collective. His recorded and performance work has been featured by NPR, Pitchfork, Stereogum, Paste, The Quietus and more. As an educator, Mike teaches high school in NYC, was an advisor for the National Humanities Center and has been a featured education columnist for Modern Drummer Magazine. Mike studied with John Riley at SUNY Purchase where he earned a Master's in Jazz Studies.

She released her debut EP, huckleberries &amp; lullabies, on Nov. 5, 2025. Out everywhere except Spotify Jackie Ward: Jackie Ward (they/them) is a New York-based musician/composer/producer raised in West London. Their second album "Rites of Passage" is out now. In 2022 they released their debut album Sounds Of The Scrubland and signed to indie label friend's house records. Their music is inspired by coming of age, London, friendship and a wide array of sounds ranging from indie to ambient to post-rock. In 2022 they also dropped the "95% BILLBOARD" mixtape under electronic side project Ambedo as well as the collaborative ambient EP "You Never Left My Mind (A Tourist)", created live-in-bedroom-studio with Pakistani musician April Nail. In 2023, they returned with "Paradise Lost," the first single to Rites of Passage. Izzy Hedges: NYC based Folk singer-songwriter Izzy Hedges plans to unveil her debut EP ‘Foxhole,’ fall of 2026. An album which details her experiences living across the Midwest and womanhood, all while embracing the slowness and unwavering nature of hardship that comes with the ‘ending’ of adolescence. am Tunkel is a singer/songwriter born and raised in New Jersey who prides himself on his honest storytelling abilities. With the ability to make the walls rumble with his backing band, The Long Whiles, as well as hush a tumult of troubles with his more tranquil songs, Sam Tunkel has something to offer to everyone. Notable releases include: "The Sting Of The Blade" (2026 Sophomore Album), "Out There" (2025 Debut Album), "The Parade Man" (2026 EP), and "The Signal" (2024 Single). Guitar Zero is an alt rock/nu grunge band out of New Brunswick, New Jersey, formed in late 2024 and shaped by the local DIY scene. Led by vocalist Finola Rose, alongside Emily Nelson and JT Burger on guitar, Ray Cho on bass, and Gavriel Joran on drums, the band brings a straightforward, no-frills approach that reflects the energy of the scene.Cory Blair makes music that subverts categorization, built from emotionally authentic storytelling, visceral texture, and raw experimental tone. Her music moves effortlessly between worlds of indie rock, lo-fi Americana, synth-pop and anthemic earworms, with an intimate, unflinching lyrical voice. Known Moons Milwaukee’s Known Moons seamlessly blend bouncy alternative-indie rock and dream pop. Full of lo-fi drum machines and fuzzy synths, the group juxtaposes smooth electronic indie pop against complex, emotional lyricism. Originally formed as a recording project by Andrew James, with collaborators Elliott Douglas (M.A.G.S.) and Josh Evert, the trio released the first Known Moons EP Everything Is on February 13, 2024. Due to the positive reception to the songs, Known Moons began to branch outside of the studio and now consistently performs regionally and beyond. Since shifting to a more traditional band, the lineup has expanded to include Ben Giddens (bass) and Danny Walkowiak (drums) as permanent members while Douglas and Evert remain on as writing and recording partners. Giddens can be found contributing bass to each of the songs on the band's new EP Beginning to End. In addition to the expanded permanent lineup, Known Moons also enlisted a few guests to help elevate the sonic landscape of the new songs. Steve Lamos of American Football contributes a trumpet solo to the EP’s lead single “TIME,” which also features The Happy Fits’ Calvin Langman on cello. Langman also adds cello to the EP’s title track, as well as the EP’s second single “Under the Sword” which features Connor Erickson of Barely Civil on guest vocals. The band tapped Sean Hirthe (Saxophone on “Under the Sword”) and Lora Kosanke (Violin on “Beginning to End”) to round out the recording lineup. Like its predecessor, Beginning to End was recorded and mastered by Josh Evert at Silver City Studios in Milwaukee, WI, and was mixed by Elliott Douglas in Kansas City, MO. Miles Francis is an artist, producer, drummer, songwriter, singer, musician, guitarist, mogul, tastemaker, performer, pop darling, influencer, actor, instrumentalist and multi-hyphenate born and raised in New York City. He has collaborated with Will Butler (Arcade Fire), Antibalas, Sharon Jones &amp; the Dap-Kings, Amber Mark, Angelique Kidjo, EMEFE and The Beatles. His new single is “Service,” a 2.5 minute alt-pop romp about blind devotion. The catchy track, recently hailed as an “alt-pop romp,” prominently features Miles’ unique Sound that has been described as catchy, unique, and stunning. This bio was written by his team, MFTeam, which holds offices in New York, Los Angeles, uptown London and parts of Europe. Don't blink, or you might miss it: Miles Francis. In 2019, childhood friends Dylan Mars Greenberg and Matt Ellin joined forces to start Theophobia, a New York-based art pop duo named for the pair's shared existential neurosis. Detroit band Legume floats through rocky waters of duality on their debut album Pylon. Bandleader Liam McNitt crafts tunes that broadcast from deep streams of consciousness while simultaneously channeling the joys and frustrations of the working class in a way that’s unmistakable. Loose and open production does its best to conceal the technical playing and complex arrangements snuck into these easygoing songs pretending they’re simply drifting by. Lyrical sentiments are crushingly heavy and endlessly playful, psychedelic in ways both sublime and absurd, overtaken by the weight of the world while shrugging it off. Pylon waves to you on your porch while passing by your house on a 40 degree day, quietly dragging a shadow the size of the cosmos behind it. It’s a brilliant work of mercurial songwriting at odds with itself but fully at peace with its own multitudes.

Huey was born and raised in Atlanta, Ga., Huey’s songwriting is deeply in southern folk music. Since playing in various groups for the past 8 years, most notably her own full band "Huey &amp; The Heaven-sent", she’s always called the ATL music scene home. "[She] brings some diversity to what people perceive southern music to be" says Atwood Magazine, following up the release of their second full-length LP "How to Keep Things Alive". Heart-clenching and poignant lyrics, married with folk, sometimes even jazz, melodies, Huey's songwriting reflects the emotions that she’s embedded in her music. Since becoming a solo artist, she’s developed a side of the folk genre that sounds like nobody else.Jacob Kynard (Pine Hill, AL) has spent a few years driving around playing songs in backyards, bars, churches, nursing homes, and vape stores. He's recording a debut album at Dial Back Sound in Water Valley, MS produced by Matt Patton (Drive-By Truckers) and featuring John Smith (Dexateens) on lead guitar.Carl Banks is a melodic nomad, often picking up lyrical ideas from adventures found after scratching the rambling itch. With an open-minded ear for good storytelling and without bias for genre, Carl pools his influences from a wide variety of artists. A musical raggedy man of sorts, he is most comfortable with guitar in hand and blues harp in the rack playing for 1 to 1000.Born and raised in the White Mountains of Arizona, Charles Ellsworth first gained an appreciation for a simple, not so distant past. His vivid lyrics and near-familiar melodies weave to tell stories of heartbreak and loneliness while shining a light on the perseverance of the human spirit.
