Welcome back~ with our last romp turning into one of the sweatiest and steamiest sauna-box-bangers yet, we're excited to settle into the autumnal mood: it's a time when shadows grow longer and deeper, and something mysterious shifts in the mounting darkness and sinking temperatures of the coming nights. Anything can happen as our junkyard den takes on suggestive new shapes...This is a lineup of exploration: our sensibilities prioritize the guidance of "expect the unexpected" and we have a group of selectors who walk many paths. We're excited to welcome Mira Mira back to Bounce House, this time for a solo performance. Having previous graced our space as part of psychedelic super-troupe Spiral Generator back in September '25, and having recently freaked the shattered cement of the summer's last Concréte party with the same ensemble, Mira Mira is primed to twist brains up all over again. A proper sonic deconstructionist, you simply cannot know what to expect from rhythm to rhythm, it's just a saltatorial gamble you'll have to take as Mira Mira washes you in fizzing delays and serenades us with live brass instrument accompaniment and spoken work invocations. yup. Nine Of Wands is a DJ who punches well beyond their weight class, versed and studious in an amazing range of genres and schooled on dancefloors and renegades from the most floppy to the highest spec. You learn some things along the way like this, and Nine Of Wands has channeled this into a tight, impactful flow and frequent rediscoveries of self. This is the stuff for proper heads without a smidge of pretension, a moment to let the music talk. A stalwart fixture of the scene, this is a welcome return to our den. Nail Salon steps up as resident, always with a librarian's overview of genre and musical lineage that is played deftly to feel loose, freaky, and off the cuff - and always a remarkable translation of intention. finesse. come early, leave late, see some shit, remember something special. 🦋 Did you know that we're on SoundCloud? BOUNCE HOUSE 10/16/26

Hello dear friend~ We're back, right as we enter the sentimental stretch of a fading summer. The beautiful golden rays are gently straining as they limn our last warm sweet adventures of the season - and oh my, do we have an adventure for you! We're excited to make our return by welcoming a contemporary staple of Philly's DIY ecosystem: Chrysalis. The team behind the roving, romping Chrysalis parties is imaginative and schooled in the off-kilter, expansive, and ebullient, drawing from rave experiences across the entire spectrum of club and festival offerings into a high-impact distillation that infuses Philly's underground with much-needed musical diversity and focused rambunctiousness that feels warm and refreshing. From trippy bass to engulfing ambient to glittering trance-oid techno, DJ Papaya and Amylia - the minds behind Chrysalis - are set to deliver us a night of vivacious excitement as the dust of summer settles.DJ Papaya is a bass-bending, beat-blending, scape-scraping, wise-cracking phenom with an ear for the glittering hyper-modern sound design that tickles both the mind and the body. One of the key drivers of the ambient-leaning Spindrift parties and a regular staple across town, DJ Papaya delivers a deft flow of creative bass music that defies genre boundaries. They were among the very first artists that we welcomed to Bounce House in 2022, and their return to our booth is long overdue. Amylia has been lurking in rave scenes far and wide, schooled in the smoky halls of Prague, Berlin, festivals near and far, big and small - and a denizen of Philly's cutty corners for many years. She has seen musical transformation of all formats, and refracts this through her myriad creative practices and an expansive taste in music into an eclectic and studious execution of sets that are diligent in delivering sparkly, ass-shaking energy. She makes it sound easy, but it's the distillation of a broad-spectrum view of what gets you moving. One of our long-time supporters, from the first time we opened our doors to the present day, this moment is also long-coming. We're excited to welcome our two friends and fellow DIY organizers for a romp to remember. Supporting our friends is Bounce Boss Furtive, stepping up as resident to set the scene. Fresh off of a few stand-out summer performances, the gears are turning to get the room simmering - not just for the night, but for a season of adventure. Strap in!It's a time to reminisce on times well-spent, to imagine and anticipate the coming autumn; we're at a temporal crossroad - a time of transformation. 🦋 Did you know that we're on SoundCloud? BOUNCE HOUSE 9/4/26

FOUR YEARS GONE!The swelter is coming, and sweet summer memories come in and out of focus in the heat-shimmer mirages of radiating sun-baked concrete. Every year around this time, when the stretched-out summertime energy slows down the passage of each day and the sweat beads on our skin, we delve pleasantly into the recollections of stepping into our warehouse space in 2022 and starting to work. The many magic moments of the past four-ish years fan out, like the flickering reflections of glittering sunlight off of the gently rippling waters of the Schuylkill. Every year that we've come to this point, we have shared unbearably sappy and verbose diatribes or belabored biographies of the bounce-business to date. We'll spare you some of the melodrama this time around, but we do want to impress upon you our sempiternal invocation of this project's preciousness: Our days on earth are numbered, our lives are precious and fleeting. We have invested a great deal into Bounce House over the years (sweat and tears, countless days and nights working, lost sleep, injuries both physical and moral, extraordinary financial outlays) because it is truly a miracle to be able to translate our vision into such a magical and transformative shared experience. Every time we take the ride through the night together, it affirms the preciousness of the grand adventure of life, and the truly miraculous nature of the container we have built and continue to experience together.So... join us once more for this adventure, and careen into the hot Philadelphia summer with sweet memories. As is now custom, we are putting our residents on for the full ride. The now-familiar names of DJ Anarres, Furtive, and Nail Salon will carry through from dusk till dawn with twists, turns, and twinkles.Bounce House is: Emme, Sasha, Andi, Masina, Kris. This will be our last warehouse party for the summer, so let's make it count!PLEASE NOTE THE EARLIER START TIME! We are also very honored to be featured by No One Mag's freshly released zine on Philadelphia dance history and nightlife culture. Our anniversary party directly follows No One's zine release event, which will be practically next door to our warehouse abode, hence a slightly different start time. 🧜‍♀️ Did you know that we're on SoundCloud? BOUNCE HOUSE FOUR YEAR ANNIVERSARY

Things are always changing: change is the only constant. Yet we are often complacent, failing to observe the seasonal shifts, the quiet transformations, the generational tides, the fundamental truth that all things are fleeting. Sometimes these are perspectives that need to be felt with a shock to the system, a psychedelic sledge aimed right for your cortex of predictable expectations. what you need is a sip from the cauldron of the bog witch... Joining us are spell-weavers with a penchant for the unexpected and confrontational, the types who are taking sonic wrecking balls to social constructs through genre deconstructionism. This will be a night shrouded by fog and mystery, as visibility and intelligibility are swallowed by a psychotropic mist rising from the sonic swamp. You will need your third eye to see through this medula-muddling murk. We are excited to welcome Doula to our cryptic cottage, because we have truly been floored by the artistry of her conjuring. From hybridized live sets with distorted guitar riffs to technoid space-traversal to whirling clubbazoid fonked-out thrash-steppers, Doula brings a kind of brain-beatdown of psychedelic sludge that you are unlikely to have experienced before. With regular appearances on The Lot Radio and throughout NYC, and with a recent particularly memorable brainstem-ripping set at Honcho Campout's Hemlock Nights, this is the kind of curveball rave shit that forcefully yanks your jaw off if it didn't already drop on its own. Vicenta is a specialist in expansive dance esoterica and certifiably among philadelphia's most imaginative and hard-working DJs. With a penchant for delivering curveballs and trick-shots in a steady and creative progression, Vicenta's development as a DJ has been a pleasure to trace over the years in Philadelphia's underground and across a few prior appearances at Bounce House, showing up with new focus and intention every time and the clear sense that she's been studying, spinning, practicing, and twisting in the meantime. Currently the mind behind the boundary-busting Sonidero parties, and with previous involvement in highly active philly outfits like the Lindo collective, Vicenta has since been charting her own course domestically and internationally. We're excited to welcome this local die-hard back to work some magic.Furtive steps up as resident. Ever the wildcard, Furtive is prepared to jettison their recent structural techno-supplication in favor of tapping into the whiplash psychedelia that forms the bedrock of their practice in conjuring the rave. The wormhole can have many structures, and Furtive will show the way in and through, whatever the rhythm may be... 🧜‍♀️ Did you know that we're on SoundCloud? We are easing into one of the more awkward stretches of the year, where the meteorological harassment of the past winter gives way to longer days of taunting sunlight that illuminates bare, damp, uncertain landscapes. The clocks have been adjusted, but not everyone's attitudes have caught up with the creeping promise of springtime prancing yet. No worries, because we have a suitable attitude adjustment slated for you, with plenty of prancing to spare. Get ready for machine-funk at its finest as several drum freakers step up to swing the groove. Joining us is Daystar, a specialist in funky rhythms that follow in the sonic sensibilities of Midwestern machinery. A DJ and producer currently based in Brooklyn, Daystar has channeled this pattern-logic into a slew of ass-shaking releases, published by a handful of labels we are all quite partial too, including Oklahoma City's Fixed Rhythms, Los Angeles' Gyration Station, and NYC's Sorry Records - supported with batches of emotive self-released music. It's a pleasure to welcome Afro.fem back to Bounce House: she's been busy in Philly in the meantime, appearances across a range of events with ever-flexible flow that seamlessly melds drum machine music with break-out club flair and unexpected explorations of sonic heritage. It's a kind of commitment to the scene and a style of play that we really admire, and we're excited to have Afro.fem make a return to the booth.Orchestrating the wind-up is resident Nail Salon, whose record-catalog surveys and musical sensibilities are informed by a truly insatiable, nerdy appetite for both breadth and depth. He has a voice and a finesse as a DJ that comfortably pushes his own boundaries and underscores a perpetual commitment to refining the flow. As always, come early and leave late because this is the kind of journey that will shake things loose. 🛠️ Did you know that we're on SoundCloud? We're at the point in riding the wintry wave where we can see it cresting, almost breaking; the time when the violently vivid pink sunsets spill out over filthy broken ice snow sculptures, ice-encased trash, and a world in frozen motion. This fluorescent glimmering across the horizon is the promise of winter's quiescent period soon giving way to something electric, of dreams coming true. You, too, can glimpse these romantic views of transformation and promise ...if you pay attention and take the ride. We have two exploratory dreamers joining us, both experts in re-configuring expectations and offering an alternative vision to what you thought the rave-world wormhole might look like. Morpheme brings a true kind of flow that's difficult to fully put a finger on: simultaneously exploratory and scientific in its genuine psychedelia, and yet cheeky - almost goofy - in bringing a levity and energizing bounce to this kind of flow. The b2b moniker of Philadelphia DJs Nishkosheh and Wav Fuzz, Morpheme has a unique flow, bringing something clever and serious, yet with the touch of fun and levity that telegraphs the work of seasoned, forward-thinking sonic explorers who understanding the psychedelic nature of music's connective, refractive, rhizomatic, recursive reconfigurative qualities. Both have extensive experience in fringe frolicking: Niskosheh has played some legendary and beloved situations, including Honcho Campout and Hot Mass, with an additional Chicago through-line where they held a monthly residency with Justin Aulis Long at the venerated smartbar, and a longstanding music series with sold called Mirage. Wav Fuzz has a catalogue of releases of esoteric psychogenic music on various labels, as well as contributions to An Anomaly and The Creative Technology Consortium (via Dark Entries Records). BOUNCE HOUSE 2/20/26

Later January is a curious time... Our shadows stretch far across icy, salt-dusted paths, elongated from a low, silvery winter sun, with glimmering frosty facets offering moments of magic in an otherwise bleak landscape. We are now solidly into the new year, but winter has us in its grip for a while longer; with the cheer of the holidays now feeling long ago, we are left to find insight and meaning in comradery and constellations of crystal ice. Nights are still long for reflection and revelry, so consider joining us at this frigid inflection point for a special hivernal hurrah... Joining us at this auspicious moment is a brilliant guest: Razrbark is an underrated gem, the kind of galaxy-brained bin-buster whose screwball selections make her a real connoisseur's pick for a cerebral lineup. But though she's a proper "DJ's DJ," her sets are never of a chin-scratcher foofery, but rather of a feral-freak flow. Razrbark lays down deep cuts of the impactful and unexpected without the austerity and self-seriousness of monochrome technoid stuff, or, indeed, the self-importance of NYC clubland. No, Razrbark channels a kind music nerd passion focused by experiences as a raver, first and foremost. This is subtly revealed in a relatively low profile of public appearances, but dear gawd, have they all been stand-out performances, from revered establishments like Nowadays, Hot Mass, Bossa Nova Civic Club, and beyond, peak appearances at the celebrated Honcho Campout, and unparalleled sets at The Lot Radio and respected mix series. An avid marathon runner in addition to music nerd and DJ (among many more things), we can see a clearer vision of someone dedicated to the long haul, to the durational practice of building a moving set, engaging with a culture and practice, and pushing an artform. Stepping up from our scuzzy home is Clastic, a well-known character in the Philly underground, formerly known as Thumper. Clastic is easily recognizable, cutting a profile through the fog with an iconic locked-in dancefloor phenomenology. Indeed, Clastic caught our eye immediately, with a rhythmic motion as a dancer that says loud and clear that this is someone who on a profound level "gets it" - that is, the deeper meaning and ineffable spiritual, sacred parameters of raving. Clastic has diligently channeled this starry eyed sensibility into their DJing, growing enormously in talent, depth, and breadth, with a sincerity and seriousness for exploration. Often typecast for harder-edged lineups in the Philly underground that shortchange their musical interests and creativity, we're excited to carve out the room for a real local die-hard to make it happen with some freakshow stretching. Bounce Boss Furtive steps up on resident duties, helping set the scene for a night of rambunctious, genre-defying rhythmic rearrangements. A stylistic wildcard focused most on invoking the impellent transformational potential of the rave with a sense of flow - or Groove, if you will - they're well positioned to get the ball rolling before it... bounces... into who knows whats far-flung corner. 🪸 Did you know that we're on SoundCloud?
