Emerging from the music scene of Seattle, Antarcticans officially started in October 2024 when they opened for a touring artist from LA. Before the formation of the band, lead singer/guitarist Owen honed his craft playing music in Japan and Europe. He met the other musicians in the band through open mics and other connections, and Antarcticans is now a five-piece band.The inspiration for their songs is the power of music to overcome difficulty and create a kind of magic. Songs can carry people through tough times and connect you with others—they can also help you head toward your dreams. Owen wrote these songs over the many years he has been a musician, and he has been able to create a unique chemistry with the band. The genre Antarcticans has fit into is pop rock with elements of jazz and new wave.
