<p>D.O.A. is a Canadian punk rock band formed in 1978 in Vancouver, British Columbia. Led by vocalist and guitarist Joey "Shithead" Keithley, the band is widely credited with popularizing the term "hardcore" and influencing the hardcore punk movement of the early 1980s. Known for their politically charged lyrics and aggressive sound, D.O.A. has been a vocal advocate for social justice, environmentalism, and anti-authoritarianism.
