Legendary Gypsy flamenco singer Kina Méndez, Santa Fe’s own flamenco guitar virtuoso Joaquín Gallegos, and percussionist John Martin come together for a special one-night-only performance celebrating the raw power and beauty of traditional flamenco. Joaquín Gallegos is a seasoned guitarist whose deep roots in the flamenco tradition have taken him from Santa Fe to Spain. He studied with master guitarists and lived among the caves of Sacromonte in Granada, immersing himself in the art of cante and dance accompaniment. Joaquín has toured nationally with top flamenco dance companies and performed extensively across the U.S., Mexico, and Spain. A finalist in prestigious Spanish competitions, he is also a prolific composer and collaborator, with work spanning Arabic music, jazz, R\&amp;B, film, and musical theater. A truly versatile musician, Joaquín brings both innovation and reverence to his flamenco craft. Kina Méndez hails from Jerez de la Frontera, the cradle of flamenco singing. A member of one of flamenco’s most revered dynasties, she is the niece of the iconic La Paquera de Jerez, one of the greatest cantaoras of the 20th century. Kina’s voice—steeped in Gypsy tradition—is powerful, soul-stirring, and unforgettable. Over the past three decades, she has toured the world alongside flamenco’s most celebrated artists, leaving audiences breathless with each performance. Though based in Jerez, she graces Santa Fe with her presence for this rare and intimate concert.John Martin III is a percussionist and vocalist, playing Flamenco for almost 30&nbsp;years. John's specialty is world percussion. He plays all of the conventional drums as well. He plays many different styles including, Salsa, Brazilian Samba, Middle-Eastern, and Armenian. John has been playing with Kina and Joaquin separately for more than 15 years and now finally they share the same stage.
