JAMN (that’s JAMN like “damn”) was formed in 2022 by friends Jacob, Matthew and Ilona, Pacific Northwest natives looking to try something different after growing up singing in choir. With a host of interesting characters rounding out the eight piece ensemble, defining characteristics have come to encompass marginal social skills, sardonic attitudes, and questionably appropriate repartee. Pairing averagely complex chord progressions with tight syncopation, JAMN has developed a presence in the Seattle music scene after recognition in 2022's Shorelake Arts Battle of the Bands, and annual Halloween night features at Seattle’s largest Jam session, Mo’Jam Mondays. Inspired by soul, funk, R&amp;B, and jazz, the band writes with the intention of blending these classic sounds into the modern pop atmosphere.<hr>Carrie Jennings is a vocalist &amp; flugelhorn player based in Seattle, WA. Her music is deliberate and sultry, combining soulful horn lines, potent lyrics, and indie singer-songwriter aesthetics. Her performances are both tender and bold, with spellbinding vocals, lush instrumentals, and endearing stage banter. She is a storyteller and groove maker inviting people together to explore the depths of our human experience through song. Carrie released her debut EP “Good Tension” in 2023, and is now bringing her original music to life while putting down roots in the Pacific Northwest. She has performed regionally at venues including Nectar Lounge, High Dive Seattle, Tractor Tavern, Sunset Tavern, Spanish Ballroom, The Get Down, and Al’s Den, and at festivals including Oregon Country Fair and Bumbershoot. She also performs and tours the West Coast with soul/R&amp;B artist Wes Watkins, alternative indie artist Tara Chugh, indie-soul band Mama Magnolia, latin funk band Reposado, and 90’s all-fem cover band Sideboob.<hr>Tara Chugh brings a performance that draws people in with her powerful, ethereal, emotionalartistry. She has performed throughout the West Coast, opening for artists including Talib Kwaliand Grammy Nominated artist Ryan Leslie. As a Recording Academy voting member, Tara hasdedicated her life to music, and has performed at notable venues including The Showbox,Paramount Theatre, Benaroya Hall, The Spanish Ballroom, and The Rabbit Box. Tara teamedup with rock-tronic producer Tiq Rags to produce her newest album, ALTER EGO (releasedNovember 2024) that features elements of electronic dark synth pop and alternative undertones.<hr>Brittany Allyson - A soul from Houston, now calling Seattle home for eight years, I’m a singer/songwriter and theatre artist weaving jazzy pop with a dedication to inner work and a passion for creative connection.
