Formed at the beginning of the post-pandemic social boom, Memphis psychedelic rock outfit Jombi are students of music and lifelong friends further bonded by a drive to create a sound that is uniquely theirs. The band is renowned for their influences of contrasting genres such as modern psychedelia, 70s progressive/experimental rock, folk rock-driven americana, and second wave midwestern emo. It’s never quite known where Jombi is taking you during a song or an album, and that’s exactly what they want.&nbsp;&nbsp;Their latest album, 2023’s&nbsp;Out to Pasture, is their first studio effort since their 2022 debut&nbsp;...Jombi Presents&nbsp;and the follow up&nbsp;Silent I Will Stay&nbsp;EP.&nbsp;Out to Pasture&nbsp;is a notable step forward in the quartet’s dynamic range and technical tendencies, and shows them experimenting with exploratory and noisy soundscapes, airy vocal harmonies, and lush americana instrumentation.
