Luciane´s performances incorporate various musical influences: from Afrobeat, to Urban Jazz, Reggae, and Ijexá, and are calls to action, inviting audiences to dance, sing, and free their bodies. She has been featured at venues such as Brasil Summerfest at Lincoln Center, and was named Rising Star of the Year by the 2022 African Entertainment Awards.Possessing a History degree from the Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, in addition to songwriting workshops, Luciane´s multilingual educational work primarily revolves around masterclasses with a focus on the Afro-Brazilian Candomblé and interactive classes covering traditional Brazilian rhythms including Samba, Bossa Nova, Forró, Axé, and Maracatu.<iframe-embed src="https://open.spotify.com/embed/artist/6VixI1Abe7e3mV3ScdQmg1?utm_source=generator" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; fullscreen; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen="" loading="lazy" height="352" width="100%" style="border-radius:12px" metaposition="flex-start" metatype="youtube"></iframe-embed><hr><h2 style="text-align: center">Michele Castro &amp; Bill Kopper</h2>Michele Castro, Brazilian Singer and guitarist show is rich, powerful and expressive. She hails originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Michele is proud to say she was born and grew up in the Rocinha favela, where she draws much of her musical motivation and appreciation. As vocalist and guitarist, she began to play internationally when invited to perform two tours of Germany with a Choro/Samba band as lead singer. Michele draws inspiration from a number of artists, Elis Regina and Rosa Passos have influenced her work the most. She is a very accomplished singer, composer and instrumentalist and her vocal repertoire includes Samba, Bossa Nova, Brazilian Pop &amp; Rock, MPB (Musica Popular Brasileira), Choro and Forró. She also plays a variety of Brazilian percussion instruments.&nbsp;Bill Kopper is a Boulder, Colorado based guitarist known for his expertise in American Jazz and Blues, and Brazilian Samba and Choro.&nbsp; Adept on electric, classical, and 7-string classical guitar (commonly used in Samba and Choro), he is featured on a diverse selection of recordings, from his own CDs to renowned artists work. He is currently an instructor of guitar at the University of Colorado/Denver where he has taught for the last six years, and divides his time musically among the Brazilian Samba/Pagode group Ginga, the Brazilian Choro/Forro group The Dexter Payne Quintet, the World Jazz group The Hip Richies, Brad Goode's Polytonal Funk Project, and Madrid-based vocalist Sonya Vallet's group Los Profugos Galacticos.&nbsp;
