Outpost LA opens up its amazing facility for "Masterclass: Lighting the Story - Creative lighting for Cinema, with Eric Koretz and Josh Hensley". Join us for a jampacked day where creative light shaping meets expert knowledge on how to light a variety of scenes; from larger areas to the details of a face.The Masterclass is for industry professionals and film students interested in learning more about creative light shaping with state of the art equipment that's versatile, easy to use and provides creative freedom on set. 10:00 am - 1:00 pm: Masterclass 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm: Open studio for attendees to practice creative light shaping with the latest Profoto and Canon EOS Cinema products Refreshments will be served This is a free event that requires registration. Attendance is subject to approval. Space is limited. Eric Koretz is a Los Angeles based cinematographer, working globally in commercial &amp; narrative projects. He holds an MFA in cinematography from the American Film Institute as well as an undergraduate degree in graphic design from Syracuse University. His television work includes the final season of Ozark for Netflix in which he was nominated for an Emmy award, as well as the Paramount Plus show, Special Ops: Lioness. His films have gone to many international festivals including Sundance (Frank &amp; Lola, The Last Word) and the Venice Film Festival, where he won the award for best cinematography (Bisato d'oro) for his film Mosquito State. at SXSW his documentary, Dragonslayer won best cinematography and best documentary. Eric is a member of the International Cinematographers Guild. Josh Hensley is an accomplished gaffer and chief lighting technician based in Los Angeles, renowned for his masterful command of light in high-profile film and television productions. With a career spanning over a decade, Hensley has collaborated closely with visionary cinematographers to craft immersive atmospheres, from the neon-drenched glamour of Hustlers (2019) and the epic scope of The Mandalorian (2019–present) to the biographical intensity of Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty (2022–2023). His versatile portfolio also includes standout work on They Call Me Magic (2022), Blow the Man Down (2019), Braid (2019), and Dirty Computer (2018), where his innovative rigging and electrical expertise have elevated storytelling through precise, mood-defining illumination.
