PIERRE BENSUSAN THE INFINITE GUITAR TOUR 2026“It’s like the guitar has been given free rein to play itself.”Experience an intimate evening with Pierre Bensusan, one of the world’s most celebrated acoustic guitarists, composers, and musical innovators.Known internationally as “Mister DADGAD,” Bensusan has spent more than five decades redefining what a single acoustic guitar can do. Blending folk, jazz, classical, Celtic, world music, improvisation, and his own unmistakable musical language, he creates performances that can feel at once deeply intimate and remarkably orchestral. His accolades include the Rose d’Or at the Montreux Festival, Best World Music Guitarist in Guitar Player Magazine’s Readers’ Poll, and an Independent Music Award for his acclaimed triple live album Encore. Since beginning his career in France in the 1970s, Bensusan has performed approximately 4,000 concerts around the world, released 16 albums, and sold more than half a million records. His influence reaches across generations and genres. Michael Hedges famously titled a composition “Bensusan” in his honor, while artists including Tommy Emmanuel, Pat Metheny, Mark Knopfler, Steve Vai, Leo Kottke, Larry Coryell, Tuck Andress, Andrew York, Steve Lukather, and Andy Timmons have praised his artistry. His collaborations have ranged from Donny Osmond and Jordan Rudess to Gene Parsons and Yoko Kanno’s Cowboy Bebop. At the center of it all is Bensusan alone with his Lowden guitar—and, at times, his rich and expressive voice. No band. No excess. Just an extraordinary musician whose command of melody, harmony, rhythm, and open tuning can make one instrument sound like an entire musical world. The Infinite Guitar Tour 2026 is a rare opportunity to experience a true master of the instrument in the kind of intimate setting his music was made for.“With only his steel-string acoustic guitar—and sometimes his rich, affecting voice—Mr. Bensusan can disassemble your heart and hand it back to you restored and renewed.” — James Volpe Rotondi, Guitar Player Magazine
