We just couldn't wait for brand-new downtown business, Pollen Plant Boutique to open its doors so Sunday, August 14th they'll be planted on our patio for a day full of sharing, learning, collecting, and connecting! 12-4pm: Pollen on the Patio Can’t make it to the plant swap? Check out Pollen's pop-up shop on the patio! Come by between noon and 4pm to check out their variety of plants and accessories available for purchase. Free and open to the public, there'll be something for every plant parent to enjoy, so don’t miss out! 9-11AM: Summer Plant Swap Whether you are an experienced plant collector or a novice plant parent, we want you to be a part of Pollen Plant Boutique’s first biannual plant swap event! How does it work? First, get your tickets for the event! Spots are limited, so be sure to secure yours early. Next, gather some plant cuttings, rooted propagations, full sized plants, or well-loved pottery that you are willing to part ways with. All participants must bring at least one item to exchange, but the more you bring, the better! When you arrive for the event, we will supply you with everything you’ll need for a fun and successful swap: permanent markers, name tags, a tray to hold your collection, paper towel, cups, scissors, and baggies. During the swap, you are free to mingle, chat, and trade as you desire! Portsmouth Book &amp; Bar will have a special, limited brunch menu available through the event. A few ground rules: <ul><li>Absolutely no exchanging of money is allowed at this event. Plants, pottery, and plant-care accessories are the only items that can be traded.</li></ul> <ul><li>Each guest must bring at least one item for trade. Remember, the more you bring, the more you’ll likely bring home!</li></ul> <ul><li>All plants must be healthy and pest-free.</li></ul> <ul><li>All plants must be accurately labeled with the plant’s name. Please no mystery cuttings!</li></ul> <ul><li>Don’t take anything from someone else’s tray/station without their permission.</li></ul> <ul><li>Do offer trades that are comparable in desirability or value.</li></ul> <ul><li>Don’t be offended or pushy if someone declines a swap offer. Remember to have fun and enjoy the company of your plant-loving neighbors!</li></ul>
