There are two types of fit testing: qualitative and quantitative. Qualitative uses taste to determine is there is a leak in how the respirator is sealing to your face. Quantitative uses a number called Fit Factor which quantifies how clean the air is inside your mask compared to outside it, for professional fit testing a Fit Factor of 100 is considered passing. Portacounts are specialized machines that are used to conduct quantitative fit testing while you wear your respirator. This video explains what fit testing is and demonstrates how a Portacount works: https://youtu.be/YflxRI2QDw8?is=kBerUmOwnd4B_BgX

How do I sign up for the Portacount Fit Testing?

Please register here, use code 703: https://tinyurl.com/Oct24Portacount

You can email DMVPortacount@gmail.com to ask any further questions.
