Sheldon’s Showcase highlights handpicked talent from our Sunday night open mics, curated by our open mic host Sheldon Rosevear.<hr>Jon Andrew Franklin is the Emmy Nominated Producer/ Singer/ Songwriter/ Violinist of @streetlightcadence<hr>Bri V is a singer-songwriter based in Seattle and originally from Pennsylvania. From a young age, she was captivated by a variety of music genres: 1950s vocal jazz, 1970s rock, 1980s pop, and 2000s alternative (to name a few). She took piano lessons starting at the age of 8, which encouraged a love for making music. Inspired by female singer-songwriters of the 2000s/2010s, she began writing her own music at 13 years old and teaching herself guitar. Bri V shared this passion for music by performing in a variety of talent shows, school musicals, and even a couple of friends’ weddings. Although the desire to play music for others was always clear, she kept her personal work mostly to herself. As of early 2024, Bri V began sharing her own music and working with others to bring it to life; She is planning to release her first singles by early 2025. Nostalgia, thematically and sonically, is a driving force in her upcoming debut album.<hr>A.M. Sokoll is a singer-songwriter, composer, producer and keyboardist based in Seattle by way of Detroit. His expansive approach to music has led to experimenting with many genres, and this remains his musical philosophy. To him, music is a playground. His output includes three albums and an EP. His most recent project, Little Flame, was released in two parts in 2024. He is now in the midst of writing brand new material, which will comprise much of his set at Sheldon’s Showcase. Primarily a solo artist in years past, A.M. is planning a full pivot to bandleader with his live band, The Sleepless Knights, in 2025.<hr>David Augustus hails from Recife, Brazil, and owes the bulk of his musical passion to the intricate guitar work of players like Andy McKee, Michael Hedges, and Trevor Gordon Hall, and his lyrical and compositional style to the likes of John Mayer and Matt Thiessen.
