Auntie Death is a seattle-based band that plays heavy, sad, punk-inspired grungy music and cultivates a comforting sound of dissonance, quiet-loud dynamics, sadness, haunting memories, and introspection<hr>Originally hailing from Milwaukee, Jonah Roth has been performing in bands since age 12 and writing songs since age 13, and at 15 won the Wisconsin Area Music Industry (WAMI) Rising Star of the Year award. He went to college in upstate New York, where he became fascinated with old-time music and took up the banjo. He's been living in Seattle since 2023, becoming involved in the old-time and singer-songwriter scenes.
