Their sound blends Classic Rock, Alt-Americana, and New Country with hints of Blues and Bluegrass to shape a fresh harmony rich, electro-acoustic sound. Their live sets mix their healthy catalog of originals with new takes on classics by The Band, Gordon Lightfoot, Grateful Dead, Son Volt, Patty Griffin and others. Based in Seattle, Big Dirt has played venues from California to Alaska and Minnesota. Their members include engineers, medical professionals, and a retired dancer. They play a mixture of covers and original music written by the band. The band is made up of 2 guitarists, bassist, drummer, and 2 vocalists who also stand in with harmonicas, keyboards, and ukuleles when needed. The band consists of locally grown talent, Japanese/American, Canadian, Aussies, NYC transplant, and the prerequisite Brit.
