You are cordially invited to THE KILN: A fun, artistic celebration of my 40 years on Earth!As many of you know, I've been obsessed with ceramics for the past 11 months, and having my hands in clay has deeply enriched my life. Leading up to my 40th, I have been reflecting on how any pot or sculpture starts as a shapeless lump — then gets pushed &amp; pressed, fired by heat into something whole and lasting, and finally beautified by glaze. Join me for an evening of that same becoming: a night of storytelling and laughter amidst a pop-up gallery of artwork by Melanie and friends &amp; a buffet of Ghanaian food. We'll dig up some raw, unfinished versions of ourselves, sit with the heat of a good story, and end up glazed by the people who love us. If you want - no pressure! - you will have an opportunity to be vulnerable and share kinds words about the birthday girl. We'll end the night by grooving to music.
