Welcome to The Lobby, a dinner series for founders, engineers, operators and creator entrepreneurs building squiggly careers. You’ve been saying “next quarter” about that idea for a while now. Sometimes all it takes is one dinner with people who stopped waiting. You might know us from The Round Table, our private, invite-only dinner for creator entrepreneurs. The Lobby is our newest format and its open door. Every building has one room everyone passes through, and it’s where the residents actually meet. This is ours. Once a quarter, and only once a quarter, we open ours to the community and bring the people building products and the people building audiences to the same table. One evening. One long table. 15 to 20 seats. We’ll start with a tea ceremony and mingling, then sit down to dinner at Meili, a Sichuan restaurant in the CODA Williamsburg Hotel.Who’s in the Lobby The engineer with a newsletter. The founder building an audience. The operator with a business on the side. The creator turning a following into a company.
