avid society. live. one night.
70s disco. drag. and a frankly unreasonable number of hot trans people.
the underground is broadcasting. tune in.
the dolls had a hand in inventing disco in basements and we've decided to take it back for one night, in a very red room in alphabet city.the premise: a drag show, they're channeling lip-sync, séance for every disco diva and downtown legend who walked so we could strut. the dolls come through like radio stations. you just have to tune in.it's a 1970s room with a mirrored ceiling and fabulous air, which is exactly how we like it. no disco ball, we're not doing your aunt's wedding. just red light, good music, and an absurd number of beautiful trans people in one place, which is sort of the entire point.
dress code: dressed to receive
1970s downtown, it's 1977 and you're the most wanted doll in the room. think slinky, sweaty, expensive-looking.yes: liquid metal, sequins that catch the red light, satin slip dresses, sheer everything, backless, bodysuits, halter necks, flares, a good heel, fur if you're feeling dangerous. skin is a fabric. one piece of jewelry that means something.the one rule: come as the most beautiful person you've ever wanted to be.
studio 54 regular, not studio 54 tourist.
we've been the signal the whole time. don't overthink it, just come.✨💰bring cash. tip your dolls.
