Please join us in celebrating up-and-coming artists from our community on Friday, February 23rd from 6-8PM! In the front, participants in our visual arts after-school program, Work in Progress (WIP), will showcase art made throughout their program of the last five months including analog photography, ceramic sculpture, painting, and screenprinting. The theme of this year of WIP was “Altars”&nbsp;– or things we worship or keep near to our arts – and the students have curated a special exhibition of personal and shared altar spaces. In the back, Earl Wooster High is back with its annual IB Art Exhibition. Part of a&nbsp;program that offers a challenging educational curriculum for a worldwide community of schools, aiming to create a better, more peaceful world, the IB Visual Arts course at Wooster is a two-year course, in which each student must pursue their own artistic investigation, acting as a working artist, critic/historian, and curator. The exhibition presented at the HP Gallery is one of three exam tasks that students submit to receive the final IB score for the Visual Arts course, and has taken a year and a half to develop and prepare.
