An All Ages Night of Latine Music and DancingMOPé is a Bass producer/DJ from Bellingham, WA. From underground raves to packed nightclubs, he has made waves in the local scene and beyond, cementing himself as a force to be reckoned with.

Eloquently blending synth-folk, moody pop, and soaring vocal harmonies, Babes In Canyon crafts music that is eminently engaging and very much of the moment. Born of a spontaneous writing session during a blackout, their debut EPs Second Cities &amp; Year To Live unfold with an easy grace that belies the relative newness of the endeavor. As one of the founding members of the indie-pop band Kuinka, Nathan Hamer honed his skills as a singer-songwriter through years of national headlining tours and festival performances. Yet, Hamer felt a calling to explore a new path. “I wanted to start a project that explored the outer edges of folk music, that pushed what I love about folk and americana song structures into a new soundscape.” Fate must have been listening, and soon a severe windstorm stranded Hamer and partner Amanda Ebert in a remote cabin near Washington’s Mount Baker. “We lost power and then the trees started to fall. Our only path out was blocked, so we started playing music by firelight to calm our nerves,” laughs Hamer. “I was humming along with my baritone uke. Amanda wrote out lyrics. And by the end of the night, we had our first song for Babes In Canyon.” A brace of songs in hand, the duo enlisted Michelle Nuño to track bass on their debut record, then headed to Hamer’s farmhouse to be close to nature, converting the bottom floor into a proper recording studio. Joining the band was vaunted producer &amp; engineer Jerry Streeter (Brandi Carlile, The Lumineers). “We recorded at night.” explains Hamer, “We’d step out between takes to watch the stars and listen to the owls.” Hitting the road for a spate of tours, festivals, and live performances, the duo conjure up layered soundscapes, “looping keys, beats, percussion effortlessly in an electric, raucous live performance” (Atwood Magazine). While thematically linked, each song by the band is laced with a strong sense of transition and individuality. “We try to create a sonic landscape of standing on a mountain just after a storm,” says Hamer, “when the first beams of sunlight start to break through the clouds.” With their first two EPs and latest single receiving praise from the likes of Under The Radar, Magnet, and Atwood Magazine, Babes In Canyon’s debut album “The New Loud” is set to release in 2025. Genre-defying, expertly arranged, and profoundly catchy, Babes In Canyon stands ready to soundtrack your adventures - spontaneous or otherwise.

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, over the past two decades Kian Dye has made a name for himself as one of the premier bluegrass musicians in the region. Kian comes from a childhood of fiddle contests, bluegrass festivals, and music camps, and has performed alongside artists like Never Come Down, Eli West, and Under the Rocks. Kian released his debut album in May of 2024 which he wrote, produced, engineered, and mixed. Now fronting his own band, Kian blends classic bluegrass vocals and original instrumentals to push the boundaries of Bluegrass while remaining firmly rooted in tradition.Mt. Baker String Band is a fresh new Jamgrass band based in Bellingham, Washington. Formed in late 2023, Pamwe is a nationally touring marimba ensemble that consists of eight passionate musicians, hailing from various states in the western United States, including: New Mexico, Colorado, Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. Originally brought together in Polyphony Marimba, the band is united by their shared love for Zimbabwean mbira and marimba music. Now - as Pamwe - they embark on a new chapter of their musical journey together! They present a wide variety of sounds, ranging from traditional Shona music to their own original compositions. MaMuse (“Ma” as in Mamma; “Muse” as in the one who inspires)MaMuse was born out of a collaboration between songwriters Karisha Longaker and Sarah Nutting. 2008 was a year of great alchemy. Fires erupted in Northern California, a great wind of inspiration blew through, catalyzing a series of songs written from the soil and rivers, ash and heat of Chico where these two musicians met.In the early days these troubadours toted instruments around town by bicycle and shared their songs at farmers markets, community gatherings, small cafes and festivals. Not too long after, these two voices became iconic to the Chico community, representing idyllic values of friendship, community, love for nature and care for Self and World. The love spread, sisterhood held strong through 14 years of LIFE: children, relationships arriving and dissolving, making home in many new places.&nbsp;Mamuse songs such as “We Shall Be Known” and “Hallelujah” have sprouted wings and are now sung at the bed sides of birthing mothers, round campfires, at weddings and funerals... Based in Bellingham, Washington, the band is extremely high energy, and is sure to have you dancing on your feet! Ukama presents a very unique experience for any audience member. In addition to marimba, the band features guitar, bass, mbira (the traditional instrument of Zimbabwe), hosho, and drum set.The Bellingham Community Marimba Project (BCMP) is a newly-founded studio, aiming to promote, share, and advocate for Zimbabwean marimba music. Founded by director Caden Davis in 2024, the studio is currently in the middle of its first session of classes. A spring session will be offered from late March through the end of the academic year.&nbsp;

Born and raised in the Walla Walla Valley, Diego always found himself fascinated with the art of music, and soon found himself fully engaged within his community. Growing up in a Hispanic household, he was exposed to multiple genres of music which included Corridos, Cumbia, Rock, Hip Hop, Country, Funk and much more. Though the love for diverse music began to grow, he realized the genre that connected with him the most was none other than the Blues. The emotion, feel, and rawness&nbsp;of the genre was more than enough to draw him in. Diego taught himself multiple instruments and learned to play bass guitar in high school jazz band. After playing bass for many years, he discovered that guitar was his true love. With inspiration from Freddie King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Buddy Guy, Prince and most importantly, his personal mentor Gary&nbsp;Winston, it became clear that music is what he was wanting to pursue. The 25-year-old has now played numerous clubs and festivals across the Northwest for the last 4 years. He opened for none other than Curtis Salgado, and is continuing to expand his musical knowledge and network. Andrew has been seen on Conan, The Late Late Show with James Corden and on Comedy Central. (And he's a WWU grad!)Tickets are $20, or $30 for VIP which includes front-row seating and a free handkerchief (you'll understand why a handkerchief when you see the joke).This is a self-produced show and ALL proceeds go to covering the costs of the production and to the artists themselves. Stand-Up Comedy with Andrew Sleighter

A couple walks into the room, a historical barn near the dikes of the Skagit River. The room is bustling, filled with a quiet hum punctuated by glasses clinking and the occasional whoop of anticipation from the ever-growing crowd. The stage is backlit with a starry sky backdrop. Townes Van Zandt plays softly from the PA as the room fills and drinks are served. The couple sits down and strikes up a conversation with a soft-spoken man wearing a flannel shirt and a fedora, sipping a pint of IPA like he has someplace to be. The couple glances at each other as the man starts rambling about why guitars from the '30s sound so much better than those made today, they can't remember how they got to talking about this but are impressed with what seems like an uncommonly deep knowledge. He pauses long enough to glance up as several musicians move toward the stage, and his beer is gone. The background music fades out, and the announcement is made: “Please give a warm welcome to Benny Sidelinger!” He stands up, nods to the couple and turns toward the stage.Benny steps on stage and picks up an ancient banjo, its head worn from years of frailing, and the couple realizes they've been talking to the headliner himself. They'd heard about the show, but a few casually dropped references in their brief conversation with Benny has them curious, they both pull out their phones. A quick search reveals an interview on Dutch National TV before playing Rhythm and Blues in Groningen, performances with Grammy Award Winner Allison Russell, a banjo jam session on stage with Michael Franti, and festival appearances from Vancouver to Calgary to Newport. It reveals countless albums he's appeared on, Po' Girl, JT Nero, the Shiftless Rounders, the Blackberry bushes, the Pine hearts, the list goes on. He seems to have been everywhere, played with everyone.The lights dim, and the room fades. A band hovers on stage right, but on the stage it's just Benny now. The banjo begins to hum, then sing, then rip. With fingers moving impossibly fast as the music begins to vibrate and glow. Transitioning to another song he picks up a road worn guitar (the google search reveals that he built it himself). The slower, heartfelt ballad written for his first daughter is almost a relief. Subtly, the rest of the band adds layers to the sound one at a time. Benny's voice rings out, adding to the echoes of all the acts that have graced this same stage in the small Washington town. There is distance in that voice, and you can hear the miles and miles of road in the guitar, vibrating like smooth highways passing under weary tires.

Savanna WoodsSavanna Woods is a singer-songwriter from Stanwood, WA who plays all around the PNW as well as globally. With her unique and powerful vocals, she performs her own heartfelt originals, mixed with covers you know and love.Francesca BrownSinger-songwriter Francesca Brown is a California native, with midwestern roots.&nbsp; Her sound is a cosmic mash-up that lies somewhere between Emmylou Harris and Loretta Lynn.&nbsp;&nbsp;Brown’s early life wasn’t always easy moving between southern California and Illinois.&nbsp;&nbsp;Much of her youth was spent with her single mother and three other siblings in rural Illinois. Ballet and singing were her outlets early on.&nbsp;&nbsp;On weekends she would attend local dive bars with her mother and sing 90’s pop hits via karaoke.&nbsp; Home life became a serious challenge, watching her mother struggle with abusive relationships and money . From her teen years on, in many ways Francesca raised herself.&nbsp;&nbsp;Work ethic was important and she jumped in at an&nbsp;early age and kept on with this cycle never slowing down.&nbsp;&nbsp;After a short stint in NYC, Brown made her way back west.&nbsp; She settled in Los Angeles where she worked several waitressing jobs and even did some work as a photo double in film and tv.&nbsp; During her early twenties she found herself regularly escaping the hustle and bustle of the city.&nbsp;&nbsp; She spent much of her time in Topanga Canyon and nearby beaches indulging Jack Kerouac and listening to folk music.&nbsp;It was during this time when she began writing music, and knew she had found her calling.&nbsp;&nbsp;Cascade CodyA folk musician continuing in the spirit of the traditional roots of the great storytellers. Bringing life to old tales and new ones. Cody Jordan was born on December 27th 1991 in the city of Yakima, WA. To father John, and mother Kelly Jordan. In 1993 John and Kelly moved their family to Selah, WA. Growing up in on a 41 1/2 acre plot of land in the most northern bounds of Selah, which is referred to by locals as the area of Wenas, Cody learned to appreciate the beauty and landscapes of the area. Quiet was prevalent, and whilst experiencing the quiet Cody began writing poetry at a very young age. At the age of 13 Cody began writing raps, and pursued hip hop / rap music from the age of 13 into early adulthood. While doing so, he opened up for various headlining artists, however, Cody was not fulfilled pursuing the dream of his younger self. At 22 he decided to reinvent himself. In 2014 Cody decided to go to school at Yakima Valley College, where he was trained in the theatrical arts. Throughout his colligate career he wrote plays and acted in several productions spanning from musicals to Shakespeare. It was at this time, Cody’s love for music began to resurface. With his new found philosophy in regard to theatre, and education steeped in the liberal arts, as well as his passion for beautiful imagery, Cody began to pick up an old guitar that his parents bought him one childhood Christmas, and play skagit valley, folk music, music, live performers, country western music, whatcom county musician, bellingham, washington state music, acoustic guitar music, traditional folk music, fun music.

Smokey Brights have been steadily growing out of the mossy Pacific Northwest city of Seattle forover a decade. The band, formed by friends working together at a pizza restaurant, has roots inSeattle’s DIY punk, songwriter, and psych scenes. Through the group’s four LP and three EPreleases, you can hear Smokey Brights’ sonic branches stretching through 70’s prog, synthy newwave bops, fuzzy 90’s anthems, and intimate indie storytelling. You can also trace the lives andromance of songwriters Ryan Devlin and Kim West who married a few years after the formationof the band. The couple’s entangled approach to songwriting and melody has yielded aremarkable amount of original, genre bending music. Chad Henry and the Setbacks is a Northwest Washington based project, bringing influences spanning a wide range of genres from punk and hard rock, to folk and bluegrass to form their particular brand of rootsy soulful Americana.&nbsp;The lineup includes Luke Deryckx (drums), Dan Burnett (keys, violin, guitar), and Jim Reeder (bass) supporting Chad Henry’s songwriting, vocals and guitar. Their music can be described as Americana Rock with a healthy flavor of blues and southern gospel.“It feels like a homecoming even though it’s totally foreign” says Chad Henry who is ‘coming home’ to writing songs again after a two decade hiatus. Being a singer and band leader, however, is totally new territory. It’s a role he wasn’t necessarily seeking, but was required after a torrid pace of songwriting in early 2024 following his departure from a corporate career.&nbsp; “Honestly, I thought the part of my life that involved creating original music was over” says Chad.&nbsp; “It’s been a healing process to rediscover how important music is in my life”.On his debut album, Live at Mojo, Morgan McHugh boldly pens his own entry in the decades-old Americana songbook. Across nine powerful songs that showcase a depth of songwriting finesse that belies his youth, Morgan’s musical brushstrokes cut right to the soul.&nbsp; “I write from the heart and from a place of solitude,” he says.&nbsp; “I grew up immersed in wilderness and have spent the last couple of summers on fishing boats out of Bristol Bay in Northwestern Alaska.&nbsp; The solitude affords me a lot of time to think.&nbsp; That is when my creative juices really start flowing.”&nbsp; McHugh’s songs are honest reflections about life, love, and loss. JOIN THE BATTLEFour bands enter, one band leaves victorious. Each set will have two bands on stage at the same time, and the bands will play two songs, one after the other, four songs total. Victory is determined through crowd noise so bring your energy!!! The decibel level of a crowd mic will be projected to determine the winner of each round. There will be two semi-final rounds, and a final round between the winners of the previous round!

Odesa mysteries, special humor, signature "tricks", bidding and uninvited guests - it was this stage ingenuity and local flavor that made the group a business card of the whole Odesa, and later influenced international recognition.An interesting fact is that after the appearance of vocalist Bagrat Tsurkan in the team, the band expanded its stylistic range. Now melodious Ukrainian songs have been added to Odesa-Jewish folklore in the repertoire

Pure Halcyon is a five-piece modern rock band based in Bellingham, WA. With vocals similar to Hayley Williams and the tightest rhythm section in town, Pure Halcyon brings a unique twist to hard-hitting rock and timeless covers.
