Pamwe prioritizes honoring the origins of the music that brought them together by way of educating the public about Zimbabwe and the beauty and stories of the music, as well as partnering with their friends who are doing amazing work to sustain the education of traditional Zimbabwean music to youth in Zimbabwe.&nbsp;Opening the evening will be the WWU ZimMarimba ensemble-a student band of primarily music education majors who break their routines of western classical music studies to come together every week and learn Zimbabwean music from graduate student and Zimbabwean music scholar, Caden Davis.&nbsp;This music will have you on your feet the whole night-don’t miss this!!

The world of Piranesii blends electronica, light sculptures, abstract photography, and frequent collaboration into a new and curious experience. Audience members of his live shows have compared his music palette to Bonobo, Four Tet, and Jamie XX Loveli is a folk musician with a love of bleeps bloops and big sub bass. Whether DJ or playing live, loveli sets are always completely unique. Loveli has opened for some of the biggest names in electronic music up and down the west coast as well as intercontinentally. loveli is building their own collective/event series “M.A.S.S. (mutual aid sharing songs)” which brings artists together for new collaborations and raises money for mutual aid organizations. Unlucky Lucky has rocketed into the underground scene of Seattle, offering a little bit of everything from the realm of electronic dance music. Self-described “bleep bloop extraordinaire”, his collection of unreleased tunes have been well-received on the forest dance-floors of the PNW. Trained in NYC, Buhu is a technically brilliant bass and ukg producer and dj. Expect a heavier, varied set to close out the night.

Karen Rontowski combines her 35 years as a standup comic with her 25 years of tarot reading and the results are predictably hilarious. Karen has two DryBar Comedy Specials that currently have over 40 million views and has been seen on the Late Show with David Letterman, Comedy Central, Comics Unleashed, ComedyDotCom as well as Sirius XM Radio. The show consists of 30-40 minutes of standup and then Karen pulls out the Tarot Cards and takes questions from the crowd. A Western Wednesday Event! Student discounts availableShow 7pm-9pmThe Western Washington University Zim-Marimba Ensemble was established in 2024 by graduate student Caden Davis. This ensemble, mostly made up of music majors, meets weekly to shake up the routine of studying mostly Western classical music and learn this high energy music, most of which originated&nbsp;in Zimbabwe. The instrumental ensemble type, formally known as the&nbsp;Kwanongoma Marimba&nbsp;(band), was introduced first in the 1960s in Zimbabwean music academia and was brought to the U.S. in the 1970's by Dumisani Maraire. Maraire started a movement that sparked decades of collaboration and community between Zimbabwean musicians and Americans who were moved by the music, which is the lineage of this very band at Western. We present arrangements taught to us by Zimbabweans, who encourage us to share their music for the joy of all people!The Bellingham Community Marimba Project is a locally operated music education initiative directed by Caden Davis. BCMP brings community members from all walks of life together for weekly&nbsp;Zimbabwean marimba classes and supports music and cultural education-centered communities in Zimbabwe. Welcome to the 2026 edition and the 12th annual Bellingham Folk Festival!For the final show of the 2026 Folk Festival we will be bringing back our Femme in Folk show from last year, which features local, iconic female folk performers! Join us to celebrate them and their music in the final show of the festival.Featuring:Zaia, Wyatt &amp; Willow is the collaborative project of three Bellingham songwriters Zaia Grace, Hannah Wyatt, and Claire Willow. Influenced by artists like “I’m With Her” and “Waxahatchee”, their performance weaves fiddle &amp; cello with enchanting three part harmonies, transporting audiences with their original songs inspired by myth &amp; folklore, love &amp; loss, and finding one’s place on this wild earth.Lolo WawaLauren is twenty five, writes songs and sings them with her friends! She currently leads the Bellingham based band Bellflower and also performs solo under the name Lolo Wawa.&nbsp;

This is a free event! Donations are appreciated and help the continuation of the festivalLed by retired elementary music teacher Beverly Hoback, this concert is especially curated for children ages 3-10, but all ages are welcome. Each child present will have a chance to come on stage to play a rhythm instrument or help lead motions or singing as Beverly teaches easy, goofy songs that will delight all ages.

Donations are appreciated and help the continuation of the festivalConcert/Workshop Schedule:2:00-3:00pm&nbsp;Beverly Hoback presents a free concert of humorous parodies, originals, folk songs, and funny stories to uplift you and put a smile on your face. Playing mountain dulcimer and guitar in both standard and DADGAD tunings, Beverly embraces her senior citizen status as she celebrates nature, friendship, and everyday joy. Doors open at 1:30pm3:15-4:00pm - Immediately following her concert, Beverly will present a 1-hour intermediate-level workshop on using a noter to play melodies and do ornamentation such as hammering on and pulling off. Students will learn the song "One I Love," which has been recorded by both Jean Ritchie and Sally Jacobsen, using an arrangement with both Beverly's harmony and one she learned from Aubrey Attwater. Bring your dulcimer with the melody string tuned to C, middle string A, bass string D. Beverly has many noters to loan out to those who don't own one, as well as two extra dulcimers if someone would like to play but can't bring their instrument.&nbsp;

Welcome to the 2026 edition and the 12th annual Bellingham Folk Festival!The lights dim, and the room fades. A band hovers on stage right, but on the stage it's just Benny now. The ancient banjo begins to hum, then sing, then rip. With fingers moving impossibly fast, the music begins to vibrate and glow. Transitioning to another song he picks up a homemade and road-worn guitar. The slower, heartfelt ballad written for his first daughter is almost a relief. Subtly, the rest of the band adds layers to the sound one at a time. Benny's voice rings out, adding to the echoes of all the acts that have graced this stage. There is distance in that voice, and you can hear the miles and miles of road in the guitar, vibrating like smooth highways passing under weary tires.Featuring:Jeffrey Scott Mack is a Singer-Songwriter from Bellingham WA. His musical landscapes land somewhere between the dark, evergreen forests of Washington State and the cobble stone riverbanks of the Midwest. He draws inspiration from the mundane moments that unite us all.&nbsp;

Join us in welcoming the 2026 Folk Festival with a seated listening concert featuring a debut performance from this stunning new trio!Welcome to the 2026 edition and the 12th annual Bellingham Folk Festival!FeaturingLaurel Bliss and John Clark&nbsp;&nbsp;7-7:45 pm&nbsp;Laurel Bliss and John Clark have been making music together in their home in Bellingham since 1986.&nbsp;&nbsp;Whether playing Old Time and Cajun music with the Happy Valley Sluggers or singing old Country and Bluegrass gems from their songbooks, they are having a beautiful musical life.Sami Braman, Allison De Groot, and Quinn Bachand&nbsp;8-9 pm&nbsp;Sami Braman has been playing the fiddle since she was 6 years old, coming up amid the music festivals and jamming communities of the Pacific Northwest’s vibrant traditional Old-Time music scene. A member of The Onlies and a frequent collaborator with&nbsp;Willie Watson, she has performed and&nbsp;taught at festivals like Fiddle Tunes, MerleFest, Green Mountain Bluegrass Festival, and Pickathon.&nbsp;Sami and Willie just wrapped up a run opening up for Alison Krauss and Union Station on their Summer 2025 Arcadia tour. She's a tune-writer and honored to present a new project of original and traditional tunes joined by Allison De Groot and Quinn Bachand. Allison de Groot’s banjo playing; simultaneously spacious, detailed and intensely rhythmic, has earned her awards from the JUNOs, Americana Music Award, Canadian Folk Music Awards and most recently the Steve Martin Prize for Excellence in Banjo. She tours consistently with fiddler Tatiana Hargreaves, percussive dancer Nic Gareiss and the Transatlantic Sessions House Band led by Jerry Douglas.&nbsp;Quinn Bachand is a versatile guitarist whose distinctive playing blend’s genres from Celtic traditional to jazz. This unique artistry has earned him accolades including Grammy nomination and has led to collaborations with acclaimed musicians such as Sami Braman and Allison de Groot.&nbsp;

With an energetic, alternative rock and indie sound, they are a 5 piece inspired by artists like the Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, Inhaler and the 1975. They have been playing together since October of 2024 and love to get a crowd going, whether it’s in a basement, under a bridge or in a UW concert hall.&nbsp;Hailing from Snohomish, Washington, the Yellow Peddled Flowers embody the psych rock genre through their experimental, ambient riffs and loaded, head-banging beats. From debuting with Blooming in 2021 to their latest and most anticipated 2025 release, Hell Walk (now with a complete edition), frontman/guitarist, Mason Fruehauf, drummer/vocalist, Daniel Bayles, and bassist, Alex Taylor, continue to rock the world with striking guitar solos and ear-splitting drum fills. The trio have garnered support from all the way up in Bellingham down to Tacoma, and with ticket prices now at an all-time low, give them one gig and you’ll be set for life.
