Since forming in 2017 they’ve released five albums, including their recent full-length, “You’re Running Out of Things to Own.”<h2>ABOUT KIMAYO</h2>Kimayo is a&nbsp;folk-pop artist, performing in&nbsp;New England&nbsp;since&nbsp;2019. Her&nbsp;authentic and personal songs&nbsp;are relatable and vulnerable.Coming out as queer in Spring of 2021,&nbsp;Kimayo&nbsp;seeks to cultivate&nbsp;connection, solidarity, and hope for each of her listeners through her honest lyrics and adult contemporary sound.

<h2>ABOUT TAYLOR MARIE BAND</h2>The Taylor Marie Band is a country-pop band from Dover, New Hampshire. Taylor writes music that reflects the everyday world of a young adult playing many different roles. She’s has been playing and writing music since she was 12 years-old and was originally inspired by her dad and Taylor Swift. Other inspirations include James Taylor, Kelsea Ballerini and Shania Twain. Taylor has played on radio stations such as 96.3FM JOPPA, 95.3 WMNH Granite State of Mind in Manchester and 92.5 The River. Her full band includes Jake Bartolin on lead guitar, Jake Kallander on bass and Travis Rummo on drums.<h2>ABOUT ANDREW KAVANAGH</h2>Andrew Kavanagh is a local musician and music therapist living in Dover, New Hampshire. He has been writing and performing original music for the better part of two decades, bringing heartfelt and engaging performances to audiences across the East Coast. With influences ranging from bands such as Thrice, Led Zeppelin, and Circa Survive, to artists such as Iron and Wine, Bon Iver, and Tom Waits, Andrew has managed to forge a sound all his own. Born and raised in southern New Jersey, Andrew spent his formative years cutting his teeth in the South Jersey DIY music scene, both as a solo musician and with his former prog/rock band, Brock Landers. Andrew has had the privilege of taking part in multiple East Coast tours, performing for sold out crowds at venues such as The Voltage Lounge in Philadelphia, Webster Hall in New York City, Rams Head Live in Baltimore, and the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ. Andrew can currently be found performing solo throughout New Hampshire, Southern Maine, and North Shore Massachusetts.

The group features Koki Renwick on trumpet, synth, and electronics, Jake Walters on piano, synth bass, and vocals, and Dom Vance on drums, electronics, and percussion. moon.unit experimentally combines the styles of modern jazz, free and noise music, hip-hop, and pop genres into a unique listening experience.

Currently, she lives in seacoast New Hampshire pursuing a degree in Music Education with a concentration in guitar performance. Kate has spent time over the past few years exploring the southern New Hampshire music scene, playing alongside popular names such as Sneaky Miles, Small Pond, and Maddoc Johnson. The music of Possi is often described as indie folk, finding a comfortable place at venues in the area such as The Press Room, The Stone Church, and Jimmy's Jazz Club. Possi has begun to find their sound as a band, and a solo artist.

<h2>ABOUT MARK SHILANSKY &amp; FRIENDS</h2>David Thorne Scott (voice/bass) and Mark Shilansky (piano/voice) have been playing music together since Scott’s arrival in Boston in the late 90’s. They have collaborated as members of the vocal jazz group “Syncopation,” as well as on each other’s projects, notably Shilansky’s band Fugue Mill, and Scott’s recordings “Shade” and the newly released “Thornewood.” Frequent collaborator and fellow Berklee faculty member guitarist/composer Eric Byers joins Scott and Shilansky on the Americana/Jazz arrangements of Shilansky’s “Fugue Mill” and Scott’s “Thornewood” (featuring acoustic guitar-laden takes on Cole Porter and jazzifications of John Denver and Townes Van Zandt), as well as straight-ahead jazz improvisation and interaction.

<h2>ABOUT "FOR THE GOOD TIMES"&nbsp;</h2>The inimitable singer Sharon Jones returns to Book &amp; Bar with a group of old friends and bandmates for a night of good time nostalgia. Back in the day, the band was called The Downtown Express. Playing a mixture of now classic R&amp;B covers, and jazz standards, they packed venues around the Seacoast and—as anyone who's seen Sharon perform will testify to—"put on a show" for the audience. Get your tickets early and get on the "express" train for a heck of a ride! <h2>ABOUT ALICE HOWE &amp; FREEBO</h2>To hear Alice Howe sing is to be enraptured by the natural, unaffected beauty of her voice, “a marvelous instrument, strong and effortlessly musical, yet also capable of the sort of nuance that adds layers of meaning” (The Patriot Ledger). The Los Angeles-based, Boston-bred singer-songwriter-guitarist was named Best Female Artist at the 2023 International Acoustic Music Awards. Her second and latest album Circumstance was produced by her creative partner Freebo, the legendary rock bassist best known for his decade of touring and recording with Bonnie Raitt, and recorded at iconic FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. On the album, Alice displays her vocal prowess and introspective writing in abundance, mining both her heart and her musical tastes for a deep, personal journey across an Americana soundscape dotted with blues, folk, country, soul and rock.&nbsp; Alice Howe and Freebo have worked as creative collaborators in the studio and on stage since 2017. Each a compelling performer in their own right, they both lead and support each other in their well-crafted songs with flawless harmonies and tasteful instrumentation. <h2>ABOUT SENIE HUNT</h2>Senie Hunt is a self-taught, singer-songwriter and percussive guitarist adopted with his twin sister from Sierra Leone. Upon coming to the United States, he brought with him an inherent passion for West African rhythms and percussion. Senie used djembe drumming as a creative outlet to process the traumas of his early childhood during Sierra Leone’s Diamond wars. After being introduced to the guitar by his father in America, Senie started to experiment with combining traditional guitar styles with a percussive groove capturing his West African roots. He learned most of what he knows through watching live footage of his early influencers like Stevie Ray Vaughan, B.B. King, and The Allman Brothers, as well as later influences like Michael Hedges, Tommy Emmanuel, and Andy McKee.&nbsp; His mesmerizing approach and style, combined with his live looping, make for a performance that is eclectic, powerful and artfully unique. Senie composes continuously and has a large body of work for one so young. He received the Innovators award at the GSM Music Awards for his guitar mastery, and was nominated for best male performer of the year in 2021 and Rising star award in 2022 at the New England Music Awards. His spotlight includes opening for artists such as Richard Thompson, The Levin Brothers, Brooks Young, Daby Touré, Kris Allen, Robert Randolph and The Wailers.&nbsp;

He wrote his first song at the age of five: after hearing his brother's friends on a school bus singing but not recognizing the song, he made up his own.&nbsp;Hundreds of songs have since followed. Throughout his life he has worked on creating music he has 5 albums of original material with Elroy as well as writing collaborations and unreleased material.&nbsp;&nbsp;The song performed and stories will take you all over the world and through rock, country, R&amp;B, and a little bit of punk.&nbsp;

He's the force behind the area's now internationally famous RPM Challenge, he hosts writing workshops, he turns out at least a couple albums every year without over-saturation, and each seemingly more profound and daring than the last. ABOUT WOLFDORWolfdor (Portsmouth, NH) was founded in 2022 by Emerson Onosko (keys/vox), Eric Portalupi(guitar/bass), Kevin Rees(bass/guitar), and Craig Carrier(drums). The&nbsp;four-man band brings an ethereal medley of funk-rock, grunge, and alternative pop, culminating in a low-gravity sound with a dreamlike quality. Wolfdor’s songs shift between eerie and playful, with lyrics that pull you along through brightly shifting melodies. The synergy between words and notes is joyful, producing a sound that clearly demonstrates how much fun the musicians are having in their creative process.Collectively, what emerges is the musical equivalent of a camera left open before a flowing river. The overexposure has been employed to brilliant effect, where fluid melodies mesh together and the sun reflecting off the rocks has saturated the image, softening the edges with a bright and shiny quality. Despite their pleasant nature, the lyrics are rife with metaphor, humor, and philosophy. In this way, the aesthetic betrays an unknowable depth, like crystalline pools that hide below the river’s surface. As snow-melt in the White Mountains, the water is cold and crystal clear. These pools appear shallow, but eyes and ears can be deceiving. If you attempt, perhaps you’d reach the bottom, who could say? Dive in, I bid you. Feel the river. Feel the sun and play. And feed the wolf that’s at your door or bring him in to stay.&nbsp;&nbsp; ABOUT PORTSMOUTH HALLOWEEN PARADEMarching into its 29th year, the Portsmouth Halloween Parade is a grassroots, all-inclusive celebration of community, creativity and free expression that walks, stalks, dances, trumpets and drums its way through downtown Portsmouth each year on October 31st at 7 p.m.Everyone is invited to dress up, gather at Pierce Island by Prescott Park, and march. No sign-up required. The Parade is NOT a city-sponsored event. It is entirely funded and put on by the community, which rallies a number of benefits to raise funds to cover expenses of insurance, permits and police escort. Hundreds march in costume, thousands cheer from the sidelines, it’s always a spectacle from either side of the curb.

Her work has been described as a syncretization of American roots, with rock and experimental elements. She’s been in the studio with Booker T, Lucinda Williams, and TV On The Radio; and shared stages with Big Thief, St. Vincent, Elbow, and Mavis Staples. Kate has spent time over the past few years exploring the southern New Hampshire music scene, playing alongside popular names such as Sneaky Miles, Small Pond, and Maddoc Johnson. The music of Possi is often described as indie folk, finding a comfortable place at venues in the area such as The Press Room, The Stone Church, and Jimmy's Jazz Club. Possi has begun to find their sound as a band, and a solo artist.

<h2>ABOUT MARIE SIOU</h2>Mariee Siou has been a fixture in the Neo-folk scene since her 2007 debut "Faces in the Rocks"—now acclaimed as a cult classic in the indie music world. She is revered for her delicate finger picking and poetic mysticism, often drawing, as from the ether, immense feeling through a voice of soft potency and otherworldly wordsmithing. She is known as a healing singer and as being a visionary artist, channeling and transmitting medicinal qualities through her music. Mariee Siou has extensively toured Europe and the US, and opened for acclaimed artists like Mazzy Star, Buffy St. Marie, Bert Jansch, Brightblack Morning Light, Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy, and Joanna Newsom. In 2021 she played Le Guess Who? In Utrecht, Netherlands, at the invitation of Phil Elverum of The Microphones/Mt. Eerie, and she continues to tour the US and Europe. <h2>ABOUT ANDREA WARD</h2>Andrea Ward plays kalimba and steel tongue drum, with sinuous vocal harmonies rooting in the heart and radiating an aqueous atmosphere of sound. <h2>ABOUT SNEAKY MILES</h2>Indie folk band, Sneaky Miles, formed in the fall of 2019. The trio found each other through Open Mic nights at the University of New Hampshire. Since forming, the group has quickly become a local powerhouse in the NH Seacoast music scene. Though the band started as a trio, they have recently teamed up with more members to feature drums, bass, and pedal steel. Sneaky Miles is known for their high energy performance and a sound that is greater than the sum of its parts.

<h2>ABOUT MIKE EFFENBERGER ORGAN TRIO</h2>The Mike Effenberger Organ trio is a celebration of the great American songbook and of the jazz standards that followed in its wake.&nbsp;Focusing on the feel-good side of jazz, the group leans into swing, melodic improvisation, and the colorful complexity of jazz harmony. <h2>ABOUT DANNY HARRINGTON</h2>Baritone saxophonist, Danny Harrington, was born in Providence, Rhode Island and now lives Newburyport, Massachusetts with his wife (Risa) and daughter (Nina). He has recently retired as a Professor at Berklee College of Music, a position he has held since 1978. Danny is the second member of the faculty to be given the title of Professor Emeritus. He was a member of the college’s Harmony Department, which teaches the theory of American popular music from the early 20th century to the present. Danny has been teaching and performing in the New England area since 1978. Before joining the faculty at Berklee College, Danny toured with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra under the direction of Buddy Morrow. Since then he has performed with Nick Brignola, Gary Burton, Herb Pomeroy, Gary Smulyan, Joe Lovano, Roger Rosenberg as well as leading his own group since 1980. <h2>ABOUT MIKE EFFENBERGER</h2>Mike Effenberger is a recording and performing artist who has been living in the NH Seacoast since 2007. He received the Young Beacon in Jazz award from New School University in New York City, from which he graduated in 2005. While there, he studied with diverse artists including Jane Ira Bloom, Kenny Werner, John Hollenbeck, Reggie Workman, Fred Hersch, and Joanne Brackeen.&nbsp;Mike has curated an unmistakably individual voice that draws on gospel, minimalism, jazz, and 20th century music. Mike plays throughout New England with a variety of bands including fiveighthirteen, Jazzputin and the Jug Skunks, the secular roots and gospel choir Rock My Soul, OURBIGBAND, Sad Bastards / Loose Standards, Showmen's Rest, Dan Blakeslee.&nbsp;He leads Weird Turn Pro, which plays his original music.&nbsp;When not in the northeast, Mike performs internationally with Bing and Ruth, and plays throughout the east coast with Soggy Po’ Boys.&nbsp;Mike appears on countless recordings from independent releases to larger labels, including 4AD and RVNG Intl, and is also active as a producer. His work has been written about in international publications including the Paris Review, The Guardian, and Pitchfork, as well as appearing on nationally syndicated media including NPR's All Things Considered and PRX's Echoes. <h2>ABOUT JIM RUDOLPH</h2>Area drummer Jim Rudolf can be seen playing regularly with Dan Blakeslee, Marjorie Senet, the PMAC Faculty Jazz Ensemble, and many other Seacoast musicians.&nbsp;He lives in Barrington, NH.

Emanuel has shared the stage with several notable musicians including Steve Wilson, Marshall Gilkes, Dave Pietro, Jim White, Chris Potter, and Allen Vizzutti. The group specializes in jazz standards from the latter half of the 20th century.

For more than 30 years, Charlie worked with Exeter, NH based jazz pianist Tommy Gallant, a teacher at the Berklee School of Music and an alumnus of Woody Herman's band, who heavily influenced Charlie's growth as a musician and music educator. Charlie also studied with such major jazz figures as Jerry Bergonzi, Charlie Mariano, Jerry Coker, and Ted Casher.&nbsp; Additionally, Charlie has shared the stage or been in the recording studio with such notable jazz musicians as Clark Terry, Dizzy Gillespie, Buddy DeFranco, Alan Dawson, and Marshal Royal as well as backing up live performances for other exceptional musicians such as Rosemary Clooney, Carmen Bradford, Natalie Cole, Andy Williams, Delfeayo Marsalis, jazz violinist Sara Caswell, saxophonist Grace Kelly, and singer/songwriter Jon Bon Jovi! ABOUT JOHANNA LANDISJohanna has sung throughout the East and West Coast of the US and in Europe. She trained at Berklee College of music and with Boston Conservatory’s finest voice coaches. She has been blessed to sing with some of the finest musicians in the business. Now living in the Portsmouth area, she can be heard in many local venues. Also classically trained, she has sung in hundreds of churches for public and private occasions.
