Steeped in the black velvet finery of Gothic Doom Metal, Tribunal weave dark tales of ultimate judgement, never-ending rain and forsaken despair. Featuring classically trained cellist / bassist / vocalist Soren Mourne and guitarist / vocalist Etienne Flinn, the duo’s brick heavy classic Doom riffage borders on Death Metal heaviness, like My Dying Bride filtered through a colossal stained glass edifice. The sound is instantly familiar with nods to the 80s and 90s but never sounds retro or like mere homage. Yet the heavy psychedelic trio already share many similarities and obvious connections with the “heavy and slow” community. Free from any musical genre consideration, the musicians build their very own style on the tracks of the underground pioneers. Julien Pras’ ethereal and melodic voice emerges from a thick and complex rhythm, carried by sci-fi literature’s lyricism. Almost cinematic, MARS RED SKY’s sounding has a peculiar and unique flavor, standing out within the heavy rock scene. Hypnotic, exhilarating, heavy, their self-titled debut album conquered the very select heavy family and brought the trio to the biggest international rock and metal stages (SXSW, Hellfest, Desertfest, Roadburn). On stage, they manage to recreate their sophisticated studio atmospheres and to deliver the special sonic touch that characterises them. Their live shows absorb the listener, lose him into a visual and vibrant limbo and take him into another dimension. HOWLING GIANT—Despite Nashville’s reputation for assembly-line pop country, the town called Music City is a place of deep history, where brilliant songwriters and virtuoso session players keep dozens of musical legacies burning bright. Nashville’s preeminent fuzz-psych power trio Howling Giant live in the pocket of that lineage, and on their eagerly awaited second full-length, Glass Future, they kick out the righteous jams with furrowed determination and wild abandon. Howling Giant formed in Nashville nearly ten years ago with the union of guitarist/vocalist Tom Polzine, drummer/vocalist Zach Wheeler, and bassist/vocalist Roger Marks. From day one, the trio locked into a musical groove of thunderous metal, proggy acrobatics, psychedelic flourishes and soaring melodic vocals, telling stories of fantasy and adventure with such sheer force of will that they seemed capable of opening a window to other dimensions. DARSOMBRA—Darsombra is a trans-apocalyptic galaxy rock duo from Baltimore, Maryland, USA. Known internationally for walking the line between glam-prog-psych-stoner metal and site-specific installation performance art, their hallucinogenic live audio-visual shows are often met with the following responses: “I didn’t know what to expect, but that was awesome”, “I’ve never seen anything like that before”, and “it was like tripping on acid, without the acid.” The band has a committed DIY cottage industry ethic, self-producing their music and videos and booking their own tours globally. In 2017 Church wrote and recorded Haunt's debutrelease, the extended play Luminous Eyes, with Daniel Wilson playing drums for the recording. Itwas first released digitally, as an independent release, but it later received physical releases fromthe Shadow Kingdom Records label.In 2018, Church wrote and recorded one single for Haunt, Ghosts. Later that same year, Hauntreleased their first full-length studio album, Burst into Flame. Daniel Wilson returned to play drumsfor the album, this time as an official band member. SUMAC invests in the recursive exercises of chaos and control, and the results are a testament to the tour-honed collective intuition and technical skills of these veteran players WHITE BOY SCREAM—The desert stretches for miles behind the San Gabriel mountains where vocalist and composer Micaela Tobin was raised. Warmth and beauty are beset by vulnerability and harshness. A similar dichotomy plays out within the music of White Boy Scream, a conduit for Micaela’s visceral storytelling. Her operatically-trained voice is resonant, large like the peaks over her Los Angeles home, her electronic compositions as bleak and bright as the open expanses beyond. As The New Yorker observed, “She demands to be seen and heard for who she is:” ritualistic, communal, reverent, familial, singular. Empowered. The patriarchal confines of both the opera and noise worlds were quickly apparent during her prestigious training; if Micaela was to have a place in music, she’d need to carve it herself. This is most actualized with her fourth release, Bakunawa (Deathbomb Arc, 2020), on which she not only intentionally combines her seductive incantations with biting industrial extremities, but pointedly incorporates a deep-dive into her heritage. Musically, Micaela carries a lineage started by the likes of Diamanda Galas and Scott Walker; compositionally, a deeper through-line is continued with her Filipino ancestors, from whom she received the album’s mythological and romantic themes. As her label explains: “Her voice is so unique that she’s defining for listeners what it means to create the sound of these ideas.” GRAVE INFESTATION— Alas, as doom enveloped the earth, GRAVE INFESTATION was lurking in wait, brewing their full-length debut. And it arrives with the force of a nuclear payload in the form of Persecution of the Living. Reprising a couple re-recorded songs from the preceding demo, the presciently titled Persecution of the Living wastes no fucking time in getting in and absolutely flaying the listener alive. The foundation remains much the same - from the malignant tendrils Morbid Angel cast across the Tampa scene to the buzzsaw bulldoze of the contemporaneous Swedish scene, the ancient foundation of Necrovore, Repulsion, and Sadistic Intent to Carcass' godly first two albums - but GRAVE INFESTATION exhibit a frightening clarity in their jackhammering attack. Some could call it a "clean(er)" iteration of their strident sound; others might view that cauldron with focus and finesse, as eerie melodies occasionally bubble up from the muck; but whatever tag you put on it, Persecution of the Living represents a professional-yet-powerful statement to the wider metal world. Darkness, death, DOOM: herald the grand arrival of GRAVE INFESTATION!

The San Francisco-based four-piece doesn’t come off like they’re attempting to emulate the bands of the early-to-mid-’80s so much as their chuggy, infectious sound channels the things that made that era exciting in the first place. Now, they return with Voyage, picking up where they left off and once again demonstrating their mastery when it comes to this niche. "I wanted more of the same but different in some marginal way," explains vocalist/guitarist Russ Tippins (also of Satan). "Voyage is the sound of the universe speaking to mankind through the medium of Tanith. Or, if you like, twin-guitar heavy rock with dual singers which, if you grew up in the 1970s, will make you want to bounce over to the nearest record store. Trevor made the bands first release an EP named Luminous Eyes released in late 2017. Shortly after that Trevor would recruit second guitarist John Tucker who was also from the band Beastmaker, and then hire Daniel Wilson on drums. With this lineup the full length album “Burst Into Flame” was released in 2018 and managed to make it to the 11th spot on The Rolling Stones list of best metal album of 2018. Gimme Radio declared it the album of the year. The band went through several bassists but haven’t had an official one until bassist Taylor Hollman came up. Now the lineup is complete and the band can play live. With this lineup the band would record the album “If Icarus Could Fly” and the EP “Mosaic Vision”. Also during this time the band would tour with Municipal Waste, Toxic Holocaust, Idle Hands, and Hellfire as support. In 2019 the band recorded the album “Mind Freeze”. The album managed to make it to the cover of Decibel Magazine. Haunt during this time would tour with the band Seven Sisters from England. They were going to tour the USA with Satan, NightWitch, and Bewitcher but due to Corona virus the band band had to postpone the tour.

From cutting his teeth alongside Fatso Jetson’s Mario Lalli in hardcore punkers De-Con to drumming and composing onKyuss’ landmark early albums, to propelling the seminal fuzz of Fu Manchu from 1994-2001 while producing other bands, putting together offshoot projects like Ché, embarking on his solo career as asinger, guitarist and bandleader, founding his own record label and more, his history is a winding narrative of relentless, unflinching creativity.For someone so outwardly laid back, he’s never really taken a break. And while Bjork has shown different sides of himself on albums like his funk-laden 1999 solo debut, Jalamanta, the mellow Local Angel (2004), 2007’s mostly-acoustic Tres Dias, and heavier rockers Somera Sól (2007), Gods &amp; Goddesses (2010) and the two most recent outings with The Low Desert Punk Band, he’s maintained a natural representation of himself in his material, whether that’s coming across in the Thin Lizzy-isms ofthe faux-full-band 2002 release Brant Bjork and the Operators (actually just Bjork playing mostly by himself) or the weedy, in-the-jam-room spirit of “Dave’s War” from Tao of the Devil. When you’re listening to Brant Bjork, you know it, because there’s no one else who sounds quite like him. That fact and years of hard touring have positioned Brant Bjork as an ambassador for the Southern California desert and the musical movement birthed there in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s. As underground interest has surged in recent years, Bjork has been a pivotal figurehead, realigning with his former Kyuss bandmate John Garcia to drum and write in Kyuss Lives!/Vista Chino, celebrating and building on that legacy while giving a new generation of fans the chance to see it happen in real-time.Having told his story in films like Kate McCabe’s Sabbia (2006) and the documentaries Such Hawks Such Hounds (2008) and Lo Sound Desert (2015), he’s represented desert rock at home and abroad with noless honesty than that which he poured into the music helping to create it. The same impulse led to the founding of his Desert Generator festival which transformed into Stoned and Dusted, an annual festivalheld in Pioneertown, CA, with an international reach capturing the intimacy and timeless aura of the desert culture in a secret desert location, and an evolution that looks to continue into the foreseeablefuture. Bjork’s work, with any project, has always had a rebellious sensibility. He’s always walked his own path. While Chris is in good spirits, he has been out of work for some time, and will be out of work for possibly six months following these procedures. Nine years later, in the band's original birthplace, Ukiah, CA, the hometown of frontman Chon Travis, the band was resurrected to a sold out hometown crowd on Halloween night 2019. Dahl has toured extensively throughout North America, Europe and Japan and performed with many notable musicians, composers and performers including Yusef Lateef, Archie Shepp, Eugene Chadbourne, John Zorn, Marc Ribot, and Elliot Sharpe. Saxophonist Matt Nelson regularly performs in a far-reaching, motley assortment of musical projects. Described as “one of the more unpredictable virtuosos in NewYork’s underground” by Pitchfork and “genre-bending” by Tiny Mix Tapes, his output often lies in the gray corners beyond categorization. Upon graduation from the Oberlin Conservatory, Matt moved back to his native Bay Area and became an active member in the music community there, where he performed regularly with various experimental outfits including tUnE-yArDs with whom he recorded and toured extensively in support of their acclaimed album ‘ whokill”. Over the years their sound has evolved into a whirwind of post punk experimentation, gnarled indie pop ballads and viceral live energy. With the addition of Meg Hall on lead vocals, the extreme of pop hooks &amp; metal breakdowns has elevated the hype of their upcoming follow up LP to the infamous "Cameo Artist". Just take a listen to their debut album 'In Your Shark Eyes' (2022) which firmly stands as a fresh new take on a plethora of genres. Coming from the combined DIY mentality of the band, the album (entirely self produced) serves as a brilliant introduction to the groups unique song writing and production. With influences spanning from Deftones, MDC and Wire to the The Pixies, Aphex Twin and Mana its really no surprise their freshman release has so many interesting idiosyncrasies. Washed out interludes and sub-tracks make for an extremely fluid and psychedelic listen that help the group transcend into something new and original beyond beyond the typical hardcore or alternative genres. Hurt Hawks follows in the footsteps of literary giants (like Hunter S. Thompson, Charles Bukowski, and Jack Kerouac) with their own brand of dirty realism, wryly labeled Americana Drunkwave, which is a form of jittery electronic post-punk, sung to the tune of an alcoholic life in a Los Angeles suburb. Hurt Hawks has been referred to as a punk rock Leonard Cohen, or a dark wave Tom Waits, and is revered for their live performances. <h2>KIM</h2><a href="https://kimaband.bandcamp.com/" target="_blank">Bandcamp</a>----Deep Journeys Through Horrific Tales. X, Leyland Reid, and Daniel Justo- Sanchez originally formed the band in late 2011, mostly playing songs that X and Leyland both wrote together while they were still in high school.&nbsp;It wasn't until 2014 that Scotty McRib joined the band to complete the lineup.&nbsp;On October 10, 2015, Gürschach released their first EP, BEAUTIFUL NIGHTMARES, independently on a micro-budget, as an embodiment of the phrase DIY.&nbsp;The music on the EP would be the first and last time the band would release a straightforward Thrash Metal record.
