PUBLIC DISCO PORCH: SRCC, OCTOBER 17Public Disco Porch is coming to SRCC on October 17. Nata Romano, and an opener to be named, will be opening up the show. York ensemble Public Disco Porch is coming to SRCC on Oct. 17. Public Disco Porch devotes their music to the exploration of the soil that lies underneath their feet. The land, and the people that walked it previously are at the forefront of the band’s narrative. The music itself acts as a rattling excavation of historical artifacts, culminating in an unhinged spiritual sound. The catalog is ripe with folk-metal riffage, entrancing percussion, muscular low-end, and just enough lashings of precise lead guitar. It's madness, hand in hand with absolute joy, dug up from the woods of South Central Pennsylvania. Nate Romano, who just released his second album, will be opening up the show. Romano’s mastery of finger-style is a wonder to revel in. His sonic force is so great that you just might forget you’re hearing just one person. The event takes place at 7:00 at Susquehanna River Creative Conspiracy (SRCC) — supporting local art, music, and creative community along the Susquehanna. $15 tickets. SRCC Presents: FLUX CAPACITORGreat Scott! Flux Capacitor is coming to SRCC.“I don’t believe it!” Well, believe it. It’s happening. On July 23rd, Flux Capacitor is coming to SRCC. And We. Are. Psyched!! They’ll be joined by local-rockers Lady King & The Aces, who will be kicking off the show. Flux Capacitor is known for melding energetic, spacy improvisation with electronica and melodic rock songwriting. They spent the early 2010s building a grassroots fan base through constant touring and a series of vibrant studio albums including their 2011 Jack Endino-produced sophomore outing, Monolith. A staple of the jam band circuit, Flux Capacitor pull from a wide range from tonal influences, from Phish and Bob Marley to more sonically cerebral acts like Pink Floyd and RadioheadFormed in West Reading, Pennsylvania in 2007 by brothers Peter (vocals, guitar), Michael (keys), and Jason Specht (drums), Flux Capacitor cut their teeth regionally, issuing their debut, They Know We Know, before hitting the road nationally. With their profile raised, the trio headed to Seattle to record their hard-hitting follow-up album, Monolith, with producer Jack Endino (Nirvana, Soundgarden). Following the album's 2011 release, the brothers widened their touring base, playing across the U.S. and Canada as well as in the U.K., sharing stages with a variety of acts like Rusted Root, Ozomatli, Lukas Nelson, and Railroad Earth. A third studio album, Cycle 9, appeared in 2013, followed by a pair of singles, "Dome" and "Radio," in 2015. Documenting their epic live shows, Flux Capacitor released their first concert recording, Live Spirals, Vol. 1, in 2017. Flux released Set to Gravitate in 2018 and the band has grown to a four piece with the addition of Stephen Kurtz on bass.Psychedelic rockers Lady King & The Aces will kick things off. An Evening With Polyrhythmics Featuring Adryon de León SRCC Presents… Our Biggest Show Yet. Hailing all the way from Seattle, Polyrhythmics featuring Adryon de León are ready to rock out at The Lounge at Hempfield Apothetique. We invite you to join us on July 19th for what is sure to be an unforgettable night of music as Polyrhythmics featuring Adryon de León come to Lancaster, Pa. to play in the area’s newest, coolest venue: The Lounge at Hempfield Apothetique. Polyrhythmics sound originated in Seattle’s underground deep funk scene combining impossibly tight grooves with bold brass and hypnotic percussion that showcased elements of R&B, progressive jazz, and Afrobeat which defined the instrumental group’s early era sound. Now on their thirteenth year as a recording project and touring ensemble, the band’s sound continues to evolve following six full length albums, several EPs and live releases. The virtuosic musicianship and musical conversation built on a relentless touring schedule of the previous decade has led them to a brand of psych-funk that fills a room with an impending mood where anything could happen - sometimes evoking their brighter and cinematic Fela-influences, but also a more sinister and darker turn toward a more progressive sonic palette.Adryon de León will be joining Polyrhythmics on vocals. León (who grew up in Ojai, CA) is a featured principal vocalist/performer for the Disneyland Resort, and has performed background vocals for Macy Gray, Patti Austin, The Growlers, and George Clinton. In 2013, she joined the acclaimed Los Angeles-based soul & funk group Orgone. Orgone’s release, Reasons, features tracks spotlighting de León in a main writing and collaborative role. Are you an artist/creative? Life seems to be running in circles? Knowing how crazy the world is right now, sometimes as artists we feel alone, uninspired and questioning every brush stroke, pencil line and unformed lump of clay. The SRCC is a group of artists/creatives who have all "been there". Being an artist is often romanticized, but the reality is a demanding, high-stakes endeavor that merges intense emotional vulnerability with financial instability and relentless labor. It is a path that requires not only technical skill but also immense resilience, as artists frequently navigate self-doubt, isolation, and constant, often harsh, criticism. We are on a mission to create a circle of community among artists who support each other. The SRCC is proud to host local Artist, Psychologist and Art Therapist Ericka Snitzer, LAPC for our new monthly support group for artists. The group will meet on Sunday, April 26 from 5:30 - 6:30Erika Snitzer, LAPC received her Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adler University, Chicago, Illinois. She attended Meredith College in Raleigh, North Carolina, where she graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Art Therapy. Erika has developed a unique perspective on life, and she takes a flexible, creative approach to counseling. She meets people with genuine curiosity and strives to understand them and their lived experiences.Creative Circle at the SRCC will be a mutual support group made up of artists and creatives, facilitated by Erika. This group is designed to build community and nurture the emotional well-being, professional growth, and creative resilience of artists. Together we will create a safe, inclusive space where artists can share experiences, exchange resources and receive encouragement to sustain their artistic practice.

They’re joined by local stalwarts The Depth Beneath Us and Screen Shot. Samaritan Snare is a progressive Post Hardcore outfit hailing from Lancaster, PA. Their debut EP, Living Statue, showcases their penchant for bridging the gap in sound between a serene water level and the most punishing final boss battle of your favorite video game. Let them take you on a journey through the depths of your subconscious, weaving together nostalgic avenues and boundary-pushing boulevards to map their way into your memory. Before the headliners, don’t miss The Depth Beneath Us. Based out of Harrisburg, The Depth Beneath Us are masters of atmosphere and layering. They combine post-metal structures, progressive melodies, and emotive songwriting to make sweeping songs that build truly orchestral passages and crescendos. Kicking off the night is Screen Shot. They are a progressive hard rock collective based in Lancaster, PA. Blending prog, punk, and psychedelia with experimental sounds, the group creates tension through contrasting slow, sonic ambience with fast, aggressive dissonance; all while pushing melody and feeling to the forefront. The event takes place at 7:00 at Susquehanna River Creative Conspiracy (SRCC) — supporting local art, music, and creative community along the Susquehanna. $15 tickets. Come appreciate local live music. Feel the vibe.
