Killdeer Trio is an instrumental trio co-led by bassist Evan Jagels, drummer Sebastian Green, and guitarist Wyatt Ambrose. They perform all original music that draws from diverse influences, challenging expectations of style and genre.Individually, the members of the Trio have worked with acclaimed musicians of various styles, including Stacy Dillard, John Stowell, Arlen Roth, You Bet, Dazzling Killmen, Ray Vega, and Palehound. As a group, they have collaborated with Grammy-nominated violinist Sara Caswell, tenor saxophonist Laura Leguia, and opened for the Joel Frahm Trio at the Alias Winter Jazz Festival in 2024.The name Killdeer Trio comes from the “Killdeer” bird, commonly found in upstate NY — the region each member was raised, and where the band was formed. Their music is deeply influenced by the rural environment in which it was conceived, reflecting both its quiet serenity and constant invitation to explore the surrounding unknown. Their music is evocative, dynamic, and engaging for listeners of any background. &nbsp;&nbsp;Killdeer Trio's debut self-titled album was released May 11th, 2023, and is available on Bandcamp and all streaming platforms.&nbsp;Underground is their second full-length album. It was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Andris Balins at Dry Hill Studios in Oneonta, NY, between Dec '24 and Jan '25.

Mono Means One Bio:&nbsp;Mono Means One is a psychedelic prog trio and the brainchild of bassist and composer John Ferrara, best known as the bass player and co-founder of the acclaimed world fusion band “Consider the Source.” Mono Means One’s sound contains melancholic melodies, rich sonic textures with Drum 'N’ Bass grooves and Mathrock sensibilities. Half composed and half improvised, the music is often dark, with moments of calm serenity and other times heavy, oscillating between chill grooves to almost unbearable intensity. Originally composed entirely on the bass guitar, John paired up with Rob Madore (Drums) and Isaac Young (Keys) to add intensely nuanced beats with futuristic colorful sonic textures. Growing up, Joe Newberry and April Verch absorbed traditions of home and hearth – in his Missouri Ozarks and her Ottawa Valley of Canada. Although they are on the road much of the year, the two musicians are fond of saying that they are rarely homesick, because their music means they always have a bit of home with them wherever they go.Joe Newberry comes from a family of singers and dancers. He took up the guitar and banjo as a boy and learned fiddle tunes from great Missouri fiddlers. April Verch grew up listening to her Dad’s country band play for dances in the Ottawa Valley. She started step dancing at age three and fiddling at age six. &nbsp;In a Newberry &amp; Verch show, delighted audiences see first-hand the roots of their music, their love of performing, and their strong musical connection. Original songs join timeless classics. Stories warm the heart, and give audiences a chance to understand where the music comes from. Lively fiddle and banjo numbers combine with traditional dance steps to illustrate happy times when people made their own fun.Known around the world for his clawhammer banjo playing, Newberry is also a powerful guitarist, singer and songwriter. The Gibson Brothers’ version of his song “Singing As We Rise,” featuring guest vocalist Ricky Skaggs, won the 2012 IBMA “Gospel Recorded Performance” Award. With Eric Gibson, he shared the 2013 IBMA “Song of the Year” Award for“They Called It Music.” A longtime guest on A Prairie Home Companion, he was a featured singer on the Transatlantic Sessions 2016 tour of the U.K., and at the Transatlantic Session’s debut at Merlefest in 2017. In addition to his work with April Verch, he plays in a duo with mandolin icon Mike Compton. &nbsp;He also plays and teaches at festivals and workshops in North America and abroad.Before launching her professional career, Verch was the first woman to win both the Canadian Grand Masters and Canadian Open Fiddling Championships. In 2000, she formed “The April Verch Band,” and together they have toured the world, performing in 18 different countries. She has released 14 solo recordings to date, receiving JUNO, Canadian Folk Music and Independent Music nominations and awards for several of those releases. She has also released an instructional stepdance DVD, a book of original fiddle tunes, and a Canadian Fiddle tune teaching method for Mel Bay. Verch was one of 6 fiddlers who represented the Canadian fiddle tradition to the world at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, as part of a segment called “Fiddle Nation” featured in the Opening Ceremonies.Ever since Newberry &amp; Verch met, and discovered a musical spark that few can match, they have toured across North America, Europe, and the U.K., including Nova Scotia’s signature festival Celtic Colours International Festival, the Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival in New York state, and Celtic Connections in Glasgow, Scotland. &nbsp;Their CD, “Going Home,” was released to wide acclaim in 2018.&nbsp; In 2021 they released “On This Christmas Day,” an album to accompany their annual Holiday Cheer Tours.Whether it is the power of two voices lifted in harmony, or the sound of traditional tunes calling people to get up and move, these two masters of tradition put on an unforgettable show. After Thrasher and Low card Magazine covered him in their magazines, Gary Vaynerchuck’s 137p.m did an extensive interview with him as well. All of this transpired when Taylor dropped his self-produced debut album “Addictive Tickle”&nbsp;&nbsp;Some of the jokes he released on that album are now considered groundbreaking comedy routines on skateboarding because he was the first comic to perform jokes that communicated the subculture and lifestyle of a skater to a general audience, accurately, and they got it.&nbsp;&nbsp;Since then he has been touring the country performing in clubs and comedy venues but also in skate shops and at skate contests.&nbsp;

South High Vocal Point is the elite singing group from South Glens Falls High School. This group specializes in singing contemporary a cappella music of varying genres. Vocal Point is a competition group that competes in the International Championship of High School A cappella every year. In recent years, Vocal Point has released many studio versions of their songs on Spotify, including their single "Sweet Child of Mine" and two EP's "Elevator Pitch" and "One Fifteen". They are so excited to continue their tradition of having their Fall Show at the park theater for another year!

Enjoy music from the farthest throes of the jazz genre, from the classics you already love to originals you’ll fall in love with.Jeremy Gold began playing alto saxophone at age 10 in Niskayuna, NY.&nbsp; He played in the school jazz ensemble throughout middle school and high school while taking private lessons.&nbsp; After winning the Louis Armstrong Jazz Award, given to the most promising seniors, Jeremy gleaned a scholarship to the prestigious Conservatory of Music at Purchase College, SUNY. While at Purchase, he studied under mentors like Javon Jackson, Ralph Lalama, Todd Coolman, Pete Malinverni, and Ray Vega.&nbsp; He was awarded the opportunity to perform in the university jazz big band and latin jazz ensemble, as well as small jazz ensembles under the direction of Steve Wilson and Hal Galper.&nbsp; Jeremy frequented NYC jam sessions, where he furthered his learning by playing alongside artists such as Roy Hargrove, Robert Glasper, Stacy Dillard, Greg Glassman, and Ambrose Akinmusire.After his time at Purchase, Jeremy completed a B.A. in Psychology at SUNY Albany.&nbsp; Post graduation, he taught himself studio production and audio engineering.&nbsp; As a music producer, Jeremy has released work with artists including The Voice finalist Clinton Washington and A$AP Mob’s Young $yrup.In 2022, Jeremy returned to his roots as a jazz saxophonist and began gigging in and around Troy, NY.&nbsp; Since then, he has taken the stage with many artists including Joe Barna and Sketches of Influence, Jimmy Madison and Friends, Tarik Shah, Ian MacDonald, and Greg Glassman.&nbsp; Jeremy is also a member of Peter Annello Band, and TSEnsemble, and leads a weekly jazz jam at 518 Craft in Troy, NY.

Voice of Hope

Banjo player Tray Wellington’s approach to the quintessential American instrument is all about looking forward. An International Bluegrass Music Association Award winner, Wellington is critically acclaimed not only for his technical prowess, but also for leveraging his unique point of view to craft a one-of-a-kind voice on the instrument. It’s a feat that’s all too rare in these roots genres that seem to value emulation and regurgitation over all else. Instead, Wellington has time and time again reasserted that his playing style, and all of the many varied and disparate parts that combine within it, is wholly his own –&nbsp;and it’s unconcerned with tradition.Whether seen on CNN, discovered in reviews and features by The Wall Street Journal or The New York Times, or heard on the main stage of roots music festivals across the country, Wellington combines forward-looking musical textures and influences with an athletic and trad right hand. There are numerous qualities here evoking so many five-string banjo legends, but there are just as many that are brand new – referencing or conjuring jazz, swing, bebop, hip-hop, rock and roll, and beyond. Wellington is carving a truly idiosyncratic pathway for himself in music and on the banjo. The stereotypical, often revisionist and white-washed cultural touchpoints of the instrument are decidedly in his rearview mirror.&nbsp;With roots in Western North Carolina and East Tennessee, Wellington subverts those expectations and presuppositions of five-string banjo players artfully; his playing is constantly informed by a striking self awareness. Do not be confused, his bluegrass, old-time, and traditional expertise is well-honed, since he was a teenager, but at this stage in his solo career, they are merely a small handful of influences in the rich, diverse soil his music is rooted in. Their concerts never stray into “show off” territory. They’ll often include entrancing covers – like a show-stopping rendition of Kid Cudi’s “Pursuit of Happiness” – and plenty of bluegrass, Americana, and country, but the bulk of material here is original with a focus on composition and improvisation.While Wellington and his band are a common sight at bluegrass festivals, this is a bluegrass ensemble in structure only. Yet another banjo expectation that he slyly reconfigures. It’s clear Wellington never feels hemmed in by his instrument, his background, or the vocabularies available to him from each. That freedom is more than attractive to audiences and listeners, it’s electric. When the band steps on stage, the audience sees a “bluegrass band,” but by the time they leave the stage, those audiences are shown a group and a sound that is anything but.&nbsp;At the end of the day, at the end of the concert, at the end of the tour, Tray Wellington synthesizes countless styles and inputs to craft an approach to the banjo where reinvention and innovation aren’t abstract concepts, but active, real time processes. Tray Wellington Band

Built in 1911, The Park Theater served as the first movie theater in Glens Falls, becoming a gathering place for residents to watch silent films and vaudeville shows. After closing in 1935, Glens Falls Post Co. (former publishers of The Post-Star), purchased the theater in 1937 and converted it into a printing plant. In 2014, local developer Elizabeth Miller, president of Miller Industrial Manufacturing, purchased the property for restoration. The Park Theater reopened in 2018 as a state-of-the-art performing and event space, with Doc’s Restaurant located downstairs. In 2022, Doc’s Restaurant closed its doors and the culinary team relocated across the street to Park &amp; Elm.&nbsp;The Park Theater now operates as a fully functioning event space perfect for weddings, conferences, concerts and more. Since graduating in 2016, Malik has played and recorded with Jon Faddis (with whom he toured China), Abraham Burton, Patience Higgins, David Gibson, Eric McPherson, Ed Cherry, David Bryant, Antoine Rooney, Gerry Eastman, Jovan Alexandre, the Duke Ellington Orchestra, and the George Gee Orchestra. Blending rootsy compositions and lilting vocal lines, Gallagher's honest optimism shines through her lyrics, allowing her storytelling to map the meandering paths of the human experience. Since beginning solo performances in 2019, Caity has brought her original music and thoughtfully arranged covers to festivals, breweries, music halls, and backyards. Her authenticity and joy in performing is evident no matter the stage. Her stand-up special, "The Dark Queen" directed by Louis CK and produced by Ari Shaffir is now streaming on Netflix. As a stand- up, Adrienne is a JFL New Faces alum. She won the first ever People's Choice award at the New York Comedy Festival and made her TV debut on NBC's Last Comic Standing. Netflix included her on Degenerates Season 2 alongside fellow comedians Ms. Pat, Jim Norton, Nikki Glaser, and others. One of the jokes from her Degenerates set was featured in Netflix's Best of 2020 Stand-Up special. In 2023, Adrienne did a 15-minute set on Louis CK's live- streamed stand-up special at Madison Square Garden. She has also appeared on the Joe Rogan Experience, Matt and Shane's Secret Pod, Are You Garbage, Your Mom's House, Whiskey Ginger, This Week at the Comedy Cellar, The Late Show with David Letterman, and more. The Noise of Summer is a seasonal Capital District, NY based vocal band that specializes in performing contemporary a cappella music. Founded in 2022, the group is a mix of upper and lower voices who share a passion for a cappella music and performance. The majority of the group's members are professionally trained musicians with affiliations to some of the Northeast's most notable names in contemporary a cappella, including Hyannis Sound, the Buffalo Chips, Carnegie Mellon's The Originals, and the Potsdam Pitches.&nbsp;This family friendly performance will feature a cappella pop and rock covers of artists such as Billie Eilish, Jacob Collier, Dua Lipa, and The Killers.

The Park Theater Foundation presents their fifth annual FREE Summer Concert Series at the Crandall Park Bandshell each Friday evening (7-8:30pm) from June 27-August 1st, 2025!<hr>We Belong, is the eighth studio album from Sinkane, a band led by multi-instrumentalist Ahmed Gallab. And like much of Sinkane’s previous releases, it resists genre. It’s pop. It’s funk. It’s electronic. It blends the gritty punk newness of a 70s and 80s New York with the steady, foundational soul of the rhythms of his native Sudan. Though We Belong comes deep into the catalog of a long career, it also resists stagnation. It moves and travels—through words and eras, through emotion and healing. Gallab calls this album his “love letter to Black music,” and each track pulses with the energy of different eras and forms: the gospel-soaked “Everything Is Everything,” the dreamy, Quiet Storm-influenced Afro-beats of “Rise Above,” the 70s-funk of “We Belong” and its Sly Stone influence, the Stevie Wonder-edged “Another Day”—they tell a story about Black music and Black people.The album itself also reveals Gallab’s desire to create a work that not only reflected a community, but was made by one, too. We Belong assembles this community, makes it visible, to anyone willing to see, to hear, to feel. Gallab and Amanda Khiri, co-lyricist on most of the songs, passed notes across the digital divide. Audre Lorde, Toni Morrison, Ismael Reed, scraps of poetry. The pair turned these late-night ideas into fully realized compositions. Casey Benjamin, a multi-instrumentalist who has worked with jazz pianist Robert Glasper, left his touch on several tracks. Jazz trumpeter Kenyatta Beasley soared across three songs. Soul singer Bilal lent his voice. Rising artists like vocalists Ifedayo Gatling, of the Harlem Gospel Travelers, Tru Osbourne, Hollie Cook, and STOUT, joined this community as well. What had long been a solo endeavor by Gallab, suddenly became a collaborative experience.“Having all these people at my disposal [meant] I could actually be a producer,” he says. “I could zoom out a little bit and see what serves the song best? How can I make this better? Having a community around me really just allowed this to turn into something bigger than I could have ever imagined.” The result is an album that showcases freedom, in all its forms. Freedom to create, to move, to love, to live. The we of the title is all of us. All of us who have lost and found community. All of us who have reached into the past to find our future. And ultimately, it is the sound of an artist finding his way back to himself by stretching beyond himself. “In making this album, I realized very quickly that I got a lot of freedom in not making it about myself,” Gallab says. “I realized I'm more than just me, there's all of us, all of us together. It's much more about community and much more about connecting with other people. The band is known for seamlessly blending a rock 'n' roll core with a rich tapestry of influences spanning 60s and 70s blues and soul, creating a sound that's as timeless as it is captivating. Crossfire Hurricane

Vocal Point is a curricular contemporary a cappella vocal band from South Glens Falls High School. They perform and compete with custom arrangements,&nbsp;many of which are arranged by student&nbsp;members. This past season, Vocal Point took second place in the International Championship of High School A Cappella's&nbsp;Northeast quarterfinal and represented the Capital District at the semifinal round. In recent&nbsp;years, they've had the honor to open for local events, such as the Saratoga Rock Voices, as well as national performing groups such as the Rockettes, Ben Folds, William Shatner, and Foreigner. Just as the marbled salamanders emerge from under damp logs and leaves, the mushrooms—smooth, pearlescent ones and spongy morels—turn on like night lights glowing in the dark, and the long-horned beetles and regal moths begin buzzing. The fiddlehead ferns and trout lilies curl inward, a copperhead slowly swerves, and a fox steps into the moonlight looking for prey. It is here, in that restless middle of the night, under cover of darkness, where Caleb Caudle’s sixth studio LP Sweet Critters is nestled. By the age of fourteen, he was performing regularly, and by the age of sixteen, he had become the sole student of renowned jazz bassist Slam Stewart (1914–1987).&nbsp;Very early in his career as a bassist, Tarik became a sought-after sideman to some of the greatest artists in jazz. In 1984, at the age of 21, he joined Betty Carter's band and began touring internationally. After his return, he proceeded to perform and record with jazz luminaries such as Ahmad Jamal, Randy Weston, Abbey Lincoln, Rahn Burton, Barry Harris, Pharaoh Sanders, Vanessa Rubin, the World Saxophone Quartet, and Hamiet Bluiett, among many others. In 1992, he was invited to play with the Duke Ellington Orchestra for President Bill Clinton’s inaugural ball, alongside Red Rodney, Sir Roland Hanna, Harold Vick, and Dr. Lonnie Smith. &nbsp;Now residing in New York’s Capital region, Tarik continues to perform in New York City's finest jazz venues such as Mezzrow and Smalls, while continuing to mentor many young musicians in the Albany, New York music scene. There’s a reason why Ricky Skaggs pulled Eric and Leigh Gibson off the stage at the Ryman two decades ago and offered to produce their debut record. The same thing that led David Ferguson and GrammyAward winning producer and Black Keys frontman DanAuerbach to co-write and produce their 14th album “Mockingbird” (2018) and release it on his own label Easy Eye Sound alongside cultural icons such as HankWilliams Jr. and Dr. John: the Gibson Brothers are the real deal. They can pick . They can sing. And they can write a damn good country song. They’ve won about every bluegrass award you can name and released albums on almost every premierAmericana label you can think of including Sugar Hill and Rounder, and, if that’s not enough, their songs have been recorded by bluegrass legends no less than Del McCoury. It’s a resume almost anybody in country music would be proud to have. But despite all of this, The Gibson Brothers are not yet household names. Their latest album, “Darkest Hour,” produced by dobro master Jerry Douglas might just change that. As soon as you hear Leigh singing with Alison Krauss [“I Feel The Same Way As You”] on the new project you realize that his voice is as good as anyone in music today. Add the brother harmony to that and they have something truly unique. While “Mockingbird” featured gorgeous production, recreating the sound on stage was difficult. “We put together a little band to go out and try to recreate it,” Eric told me, but we couldn't. We would have to have such a huge band to try to recreate that record, but we did the best we could.” Douglas—who has won 14 Grammy awards and backed up everyone from Ray Charles to PaulSimon and George Jones—wanted to make a record they could actually play on the road. So he picked the best songs (out of dozens) and squirreled them away in Sound Emporium’s Studio B. But then the pandemic hit. “We did our last shows in March of 2020,” Eric told me. “We were in Nashville the week everything was shutting down. It was surreal, but Jerry was like, ‘Guys, the world's going crazy. Let's let this be our little cocoon.’And we did. We cut all of the acoustic stuff and then went home and didn't play any more gigs until things started opening. Then we went back and finished the record with Jerry in February of 2021.” The result is arguably the strongest record The Gibson Brothers have ever made.The songs recorded in the first recording period featured Mike Barber (bass), Justin Moses (mandolin),Eamon McGloughlin (fiddle), and of course, Jerry Douglas, adding in John Gardner (drums), Guthrie Trapp (electric guitar), andTodd Parks (bass) for the final tracks, “Darkest Hour”showcases just how easily Eric and Leigh move from what Dan Auerbach dubbed “country soul” (“I Go Driving”) to high octane bluegrass (“What a Difference A Day Makes” and “Dust”) with Douglas always keeping the spotlight on the songs themselves. “That’s what I love about those guys,” Douglas told me, “they are just great songwriters.” Growing up on a dairy farm in northern NewYork and then traveling around the world in a bluegrass band has given them a unique vantage point on life, and the songs on “Darkest Hour”are a testament to that. “Jerry wanted to hear everything we’d written,” Eric told me, “so we just sent him songs: brand new songs, old songs, there's stuff on that record 20 years old that we never recorded. We wanted to see what he would do with us as singer-songwriters. We respect him that much. Some of my favorite records are Jerry Douglas produced records. He didn’t disappoint.” If the Gibson Brothers had stayed in Nashville in 1999 they might possibly be Grand Ole Opry members by now. At the very least they would be hit songwriters on Music Row. But, just like their buddy Del McCoury, they chose family over success (McCoury was in his 50s when he moved to Nashville and didn't really see major success until he was approaching 60). All they need is someone to shine a light on them. Their talent level is well-established, the only producers they have ever worked with are Ricky Skaggs, Dan Auerbach, David Ferguson and Jerry Douglas. I dare say not many musicians can stack up a list of producers that strong. For the Gibson Brothers though, they just want to keep writing, singing, and standing on a stage.

Jacob Jolliff is one of the world’s premier contemporary mandolinists. He attended Berklee College of Music on a full scholarship and in 2012, he won the USA’s National Mandolin Championship. A fixture of the bluegrass community, he has collaborated and shared the stage with Bela Fleck, Tony Trishka and Michael Daves, to name a few. He’s also toured asa member of the groups Joy Kills Sorrow and Yonder Mountain String Band. His own ensemble, The Jacob Jolliff Band, is one of the most cutting-edge progressive bluegrass groups on the scene today. They’ve released three albums; the most recent of which, “Instrumentals, Vol. 2: Mandolin Mysteries,” dropped in May of this year. (ARIC)</a> is a non-profit corporation that brings&nbsp;together folks throughout northeastern New York State to welcome immigrants to and support them in our local communities. We are composed of health care and social service providers, educators, faith-based&nbsp;groups, businesses that employ immigrants, and other non-profit leaders, all of whom understand that as they settle among us, immigrants add measurably to our region’s vitality.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;To help create smooth resettlement pathways&nbsp;for them, we are developing efforts in three major categories:&nbsp;<ol><li>We provide the means to share information among our collaborators on how best to welcome and to settle the immigrants who are arriving here. These efforts include celebrating our new neighbors and providing information on how to protect them.</li><li>We are developing a “strongbox” of resources that may be needed immediately as they arrive or subsequently in the near term until they can get on their own feet. These resources include information on best practices to integrate them into our communities and funding to help support them should there be urgent need to pay for legal support or housing.</li><li>Recognizing the value of the diversity and economic strength they bring to us, to say nothing of the joy we receive in knowing them as new neighbors, we are developing a voice of advocacy to grow the size and energy of immigrant allies.</li></ol>&nbsp;We welcome you to our community forum on immigration, Voices at the Table, an event developed by ARIC with generous support from the Glens Falls Foundation. In addition to hearing her album on Sirius Satellite Radio, you can also find “This Happy,” The Special, on Meghan’s YouTube Channel. Hanley’s quick wit and upbeat persona, have lead to her being featured in several Festivals, and two tours with Armed Forces Entertainment, providing laughter to our Troops overseas. Louise Bichan is a USA-based Scottish musician and photographer who uses bothmediums to tell stories old and new.Growing up in the remote but culturally rich Orkney islands, a place where creativity abounds and playing music has been a part of the social fabric for centuries, gave Louise a solid grounding in music. She started playing fiddle at the age of 7 after witnessing the magic of live music: “I remember the butterflies in the tummy feeling when watching concerts at the Orkney Folk Fest as a kid, wanting to be a part of it all.”The sense of community and belonging it gave her was infectious; she pestered her parents to let her learn. In the years since, she has honed her craft, first amongst the cream of Scottish folk at Glasgow’s renowned session scene and performances with talent like Orkney group Fara and award-winning singer-songwriter Rachel Sermanni, before a scholarship to Berklee College of Music, Boston, where she developed her style further.Masterfully blending traditional and classical arrangements, her music is thoughtful, and complex, curious and playful. Built in 1911, Park Theater served as the first movie theater in Glens Falls, becoming a gathering place for residents to watch silent films and vaudeville shows. After closing in 1935, Glens Falls Post Co. (former publishers of The Post-Star), purchased the theater in 1937 and converted it into a printing plant. In 2014, local developer Elizabeth Miller, president of Miller Industrial Manufacturing, purchased the property for restoration. Park Theater reopened in 2018 as a state-of-the-art performing and event space, with Doc’s Restaurant located downstairs. In 2022, Doc’s Restaurant closed its doors and the culinary team relocated across the street to Park &amp; Elm.&nbsp;&nbsp;Park Theater now operates as a fully functioning event space perfect for weddings, conferences, concerts and more. South Glens Falls High School's Award-winning Stage 42 Drama Club will be hosting their fifth annual Gala Fundraiser. The evening will include performances from this year's Hadestown: Teen Edition cast and technical crew members, with Stage 42 directors John Benware and Betsy Stambach-Fuller serving as collaborative pianists. Stage 42 Alumni and families will also be hosting a silent auction. All proceeds will benefit production expenses.&nbsp;

Tyler Giroux is a piano and valve trombone player in Upstate New York.&nbsp; He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam and a Master’s Degree in Jazz Performance from the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami.&nbsp; He has performed and studied with many notable musicians, including John Daversa, Alan Ferber, Mitch Frohman, Sheila Jordan, Dante Luciani, Brian Lynch, Scott Robinson, Tony Succar, and Bret Zvacek.&nbsp; He finished 1st place in the 2014 International Tuba Euphonium Conference Rich Matteson Jazz Competition, and has performed at numerous festivals, including the Monterey Jazz Festival, Quebec Jazz Festival, and Albany Riverfront Jazz Festival. &nbsp;&nbsp;Currently, Tyler performs regularly around New York State’s Capital Region.&nbsp; He performs with his own groups, as well as the Giroux Brothers, Alex Torres and His Latin Orchestra, GNP, the Dylan Perrillo Orchestra, Bryan Brundige and the Piggly Wigglies, The Brass Machine, and several other local musicians.​In addition to his performing career, Tyler is an avid music educator.&nbsp; He is an experienced private instructor and clinician, topics including piano, trombone, jazz theory, and improvisation.Matt Niedbalski is a drummer known for bringing musicality and energy to the bandstand. Born and raised in New York’s Capital District, Matt was exposed to music at a very early age. While in high school he took private drum lessons with drummer/author Ted Mackenzie and participated in the Empire State Youth Orchestra as well as the Skidmore Summer Jazz Institute. Before graduating high school Matt played with many local musicians, performing at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, the Final Stretch Music Festival and the Lake George Jazz Festival where he opened for Rudresh Manthappa and Bunky Green.Dylan Perrillo is a conservatory trained upright bassist, composer and arranger from New York’s capital region who maintains an active performance schedule within the early jazz and folk music circles. The Music of Thelonious Monk

Ethan Setiawan &amp; Fine Ground is visually a bluegrass band, born of a yearning to return to bluegrass roots and imbued with original tunes and quality songwriting. Named “creative and virtuosic” by WBUR Boston, mandolinist Ethan Setiawan’s path has wended its way through traditional bluegrass, to Bach partitas, to free jazz. He has won both the National Mandolin Championship and the RockyGrass Mandolin Championship. In creating Fine Ground, Ethan called on some of his favorite musicians in the Northeastern bluegrass community: BB Bowness on banjo, Julian Pinelli on fiddle, Alex Rubin on guitar, and Brittany Karlson on bass. The band gets at the heart of bluegrass while simultaneously infusing it with their own disparate musical influences. <hr>Alan Epstein has been playing music since his college days in the early 1970’s, when his father bought him his first mandolin. Originally&nbsp;from Pittsburgh, Pa, and since 2008 living in Upstate NY, Alan worked on construction projects all his career, living in various parts of the country, but always finding time to play and teach bluegrass music on the side as a hobby. All of that changed in&nbsp;February of this year, when he played his first solo gig at The Rockhill Bakehouse here in Glens Falls, blending&nbsp;a mix of bluegrass vocals, with his mandolin playing and telling stories along the way. Tyler Giroux is a piano and valve trombone player in Upstate New York. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam and a Master’s Degree in Jazz Performance from the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami. He has performed and studied with many notable musicians, including John Daversa, Alan Ferber, Mitch Frohman, Sheila Jordan, Dante Luciani, Brian Lynch, Scott Robinson, Tony Succar, and Bret Zvacek. He finished 1st place in the 2014 International Tuba Euphonium Conference Rich Matteson Jazz Competition, and has performed at numerous festivals, including the Monterey Jazz Festival, Quebec Jazz Festival, and Albany Riverfront Jazz Festival.Currently, Tyler performs regularly around New York State’s Capital Region. He performs with his own groups, as well as the Giroux Brothers, Alex Torres and His Latin Orchestra, GNP, the Dylan Perrillo Orchestra, Bryan Brundige and the Piggly Wigglies, The Brass Machine, and several other local musicians.​In addition to his performing career, Tyler is an avid music educator. He is an experienced private instructor and clinician, topics including piano, trombone, jazz theory, and improvisation.Dylan Perrillo is a conservatory trained upright bassist, composer and arranger from New York’s capital region who maintains an active performance schedule within the early jazz and folk music circles. Kate McDonnell, singer-songwriter, plays her guitar upside down and backward (UDB) and sings with her whole being. She has performed solo at the Newport Folk Festival, on the Mountain Stage radio show, on WXPN’s World Café, and at the Kennedy Center. Her award-winning songwriting has been singled out for praise by the Village Voice, Sing Out!, the Boston Globe and Dirty Linen. Kate has two CDs on Waterbug Records, and one each on Appleseed Recordings and Brambus Records, and her fifth and sixth albums were self-produced on her label Dog-Eared Discs.Kate took a 15-year break, starting in 2006, to earn her master’s degree at Smith College in child therapy and worked as a school therapist for children in special education programs. But since the muse never stops haunting the artist, Kate decided to go back into the studio to record her fifth CD, Ballad of a Bad Girl which was recorded as a trio with luminaries Jerry Marotta and Tony Levin, an album which rose to #5 upon its release and #16 for the year of 2021 on the Folk DJ charts. Kate teamed up again with her songwriting partner Anne Lindley to present a fresh batch of soulful, fierce, and engaging new songs on her sixth album Trapeze, released in September of 2024, which also jumped to #5 upon its release.“Girl Blue” began in Albany during the recording process for the “I Am Not a Star” EP. Fate intervened here, and the first single “Fire Under Water” was plucked from obscurity and placed in the #7 slot on Spotify’s “New Music Friday” playlist. Suddenly this ‘brand new’ artist was sitting between Alicia Keys and Lady Gaga on perhaps the biggest discovery playlist of the moment. The song charted on Spotify’s Viral Charts in the US, UK, Canada and globally. Get an inside look into the historic Park Theater! Built in 1911, The Park Theater served as the first movie theater in Glens Falls, becoming a gathering place for residents to watch silent films and vaudeville shows. After closing in 1935, Glens Falls Post Co. (former publishers of The Post-Star), purchased the theater in 1937 and converted it into a printing plant. In 2014, local developer Elizabeth Miller, president of Miller Industrial Manufacturing, purchased the property for restoration. The Park Theater reopened in 2018 as a state-of-the-art performing and event space, with Doc’s Restaurant located downstairs. In 2022, Doc’s Restaurant closed its doors and the culinary team relocated across the street to Park &amp; Elm.&nbsp;&nbsp;The Park Theater now operates as a fully functioning event space perfect for weddings, conferences, concerts and more. Last year we listened to Disc 1, this year we listen to Disc 2! The Beatles’ follow up to “Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” was “The Beatles” aka “The White Album”, a double record set filled with innovative and diverse music. The Beatles had been on retreat to India in early 1968 and experienced a rush of creative energy. George Martin, the Beatles executive producer, wanted them to pare the 30 songs they recorded down to a single record. Beatles fans are forever grateful they didn’t! Matt Niedbalski is back with his monthly Jazz Night featuring a rotating lineup of featured artists and favorite collaborators. Enjoy music from the farthest throes of the jazz genre, from the classics you already love to originals you’ll fall in love with.Keyboardist/Composer, Robert Lindquist was born and raised in Albany, New York. He has played piano since he was seven and started composing and improvising shortly thereafter. He attended SCCC and SUNY Potsdam for Music Education/Performance and recently Masters in Jazz Studies at The College of St. Rose. He is trained in both classical and jazz piano. His teachers have included Dan Dobek (Classical/Jazz), Mark Evans (Classical, SCCC), Eugenia Tsarov (Classical, Crane School of Music), Lee Shaw (Jazz Piano, College of St. Rose) and Brett Zvacek (Jazz Studies, Crane School of Music). Rob has appeared in performance with Chuck D'Aloia, Jeff Seigel, Dave Calarco, John Menegon, Scott Weinholdt, Harry Allen, Dick Oatts and Brett Zvacek.Rob has won several awards while playing at the "Notre Dame Collegiate Jazz Festival" in 1999 from Benny Green and Chuck Israels.He has performed professionally since he was fifteen in upstate NY and also in Boston, NYC, and N.J playing many styles including jazz, rock and classical music. He has played gigs with: the Dave Calarco "Jazz Conclave", "New Regime", "EW Quintet", "Lee Russo Group", "Mike Dimin Ensemble", " Keith Pray Group", "Brian Patneaude Quintet", "Cleen Street R&amp;B Band", "Soul System", "Melting Picassos" and "The Karen Lawrence Band". He has also free-lanced with many other groups in the area. Rob has taught privately for ten years and is currently a Band Director in the Albany City School District.

Little Saints are an original band born in Saratoga Springs, NY. The three-piece, genre-bending combo is made up of singer/songwriter Natalie Santini, guitarist Andy Arnold, and bassist Ian Dingman. The band was founded by Natalie and Andy who- after having met in early 2019- decided to team up to work on melding Natalie’s devotion to powerfully agile singing, and honest, mature songwriting with Andy’s love for raw-yet-refined guitar playing. Little Saints draws on influences from artists like Brandi Carlile, Stevie Wonder, and the Tedeschi Trucks Band as well as peers around them in their musical environment to craft a style they can call their own somewhere between Americana, Indie-Folk, and Modern Soul.
