The band is known for seamlessly blending a rock 'n' roll core with a rich tapestry of influences spanning 60s and 70s blues and soul, creating a sound that's as timeless as it is captivating. A decade spent on the road playing 250 days a year whittled the band into sharp shape &amp; cultivated an international audience with their combination of groove, grit and guitar-heavy swagger.&nbsp;After taking some time to regroup and fall back in love with playing music together the band picked right back up where they left off by releasing two singles &amp; returning to form in front of a hometown capacity crowd in November 2023. The group’s explosive live show continues to evolve as the core trio of Travis Gray (guitar/vocals), Rich Derbyshire (bass) &amp; Mateo Vosganian (drums) expands to include longtime keys player Dustin DeLuke and saxophonist Mike Oehmen, promising a richer and more dynamic live experience.Countless stateside runs, several European tours and appearances at festivals like Bonnaroo &amp; Mountain Jam earned the band acclaim from Rolling Stone, USA Today &amp; the Huffington Post. Each record and show effortlessly weaves through R&amp;B, Rock N Roll, Funk, Soul, New Wave, Retro-Pop, Alternative and more with minimal limitations.The band is led by the trio of Dee, James Daniels &amp; John Tyler who sing and write most of the bands material. The trio graduated High School together in 2011 and have been crafting their sound and carving out a dedicated following in the North East, South East and Midwestern US for more than a decade. This special event showcases Headliner: Ariel Elias - a comedian living in New York City. Growing up, this Kentucky Jew made everyone laugh at her bat mitzvah, and the rest is history. Today, her comedy is a fun mesh of unique, personal stories mixed with witty and wry observations.&nbsp;Described as “a sly young comic from Kentucky” by the New York Times, Ariel has also been featured in Rolling Stone, the Washington Post, and on Good Morning America. She was named as Paste Magazine’s Best Comedians of 2022.After catching Jimmy Kimmel’s attention with a viral stand-up clip that displayed her cool, calm, and hilarious composure, he invited Ariel to make her late night television debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Ariel Elias

The Park Theater Foundation presents their fifth annual FREE Summer Concert Series at the Crandall Park Bandshell each Friday evening (7-8:30pm) from June 27-August 1st, 2025!<hr>We Belong, is the eighth studio album from Sinkane, a band led by multi-instrumentalist Ahmed Gallab. And like much of Sinkane’s previous releases, it resists genre. It’s pop. It’s funk. It’s electronic. It blends the gritty punk newness of a 70s and 80s New York with the steady, foundational soul of the rhythms of his native Sudan. Though We Belong comes deep into the catalog of a long career, it also resists stagnation. It moves and travels—through words and eras, through emotion and healing. Gallab calls this album his “love letter to Black music,” and each track pulses with the energy of different eras and forms: the gospel-soaked “Everything Is Everything,” the dreamy, Quiet Storm-influenced Afro-beats of “Rise Above,” the 70s-funk of “We Belong” and its Sly Stone influence, the Stevie Wonder-edged “Another Day”—they tell a story about Black music and Black people.The album itself also reveals Gallab’s desire to create a work that not only reflected a community, but was made by one, too. We Belong assembles this community, makes it visible, to anyone willing to see, to hear, to feel. Gallab and Amanda Khiri, co-lyricist on most of the songs, passed notes across the digital divide. Audre Lorde, Toni Morrison, Ismael Reed, scraps of poetry. The pair turned these late-night ideas into fully realized compositions. Casey Benjamin, a multi-instrumentalist who has worked with jazz pianist Robert Glasper, left his touch on several tracks. Jazz trumpeter Kenyatta Beasley soared across three songs. Soul singer Bilal lent his voice. Rising artists like vocalists Ifedayo Gatling, of the Harlem Gospel Travelers, Tru Osbourne, Hollie Cook, and STOUT, joined this community as well. What had long been a solo endeavor by Gallab, suddenly became a collaborative experience.“Having all these people at my disposal [meant] I could actually be a producer,” he says. “I could zoom out a little bit and see what serves the song best? How can I make this better? Having a community around me really just allowed this to turn into something bigger than I could have ever imagined.” The result is an album that showcases freedom, in all its forms. Freedom to create, to move, to love, to live. The we of the title is all of us. All of us who have lost and found community. All of us who have reached into the past to find our future. And ultimately, it is the sound of an artist finding his way back to himself by stretching beyond himself. “In making this album, I realized very quickly that I got a lot of freedom in not making it about myself,” Gallab says. “I realized I'm more than just me, there's all of us, all of us together. It's much more about community and much more about connecting with other people. Crossfire Hurricane

Vocal Point is a curricular contemporary a cappella vocal band from South Glens Falls High School. They perform and compete with custom arrangements,&nbsp;many of which are arranged by student&nbsp;members. This past season, Vocal Point took second place in the International Championship of High School A Cappella's&nbsp;Northeast quarterfinal and represented the Capital District at the semifinal round. In recent&nbsp;years, they've had the honor to open for local events, such as the Saratoga Rock Voices, as well as national performing groups such as the Rockettes, Ben Folds, William Shatner, and Foreigner. This show will celebrate the season's accomplishments and will highlight the seven graduating members.

Enjoy music from the farthest throes of the jazz genre, from the classics you already love to originals you’ll fall in love with.<hr>Bronx-born bassist, composer, and jazz educator Tarik Shah, began his journey in music when he was granted his first bass as a gift from his mother at age twelve. By the age of fourteen, he was performing regularly, and by the age of sixteen, he had become the sole student of renowned jazz bassist Slam Stewart (1914–1987).&nbsp;Very early in his career as a bassist, Tarik became a sought-after sideman to some of the greatest artists in jazz. In 1984, at the age of 21, he joined Betty Carter's band and began touring internationally. After his return, he proceeded to perform and record with jazz luminaries such as Ahmad Jamal, Randy Weston, Abbey Lincoln, Rahn Burton, Barry Harris, Pharaoh Sanders, Vanessa Rubin, the World Saxophone Quartet, and Hamiet Bluiett, among many others. In 1992, he was invited to play with the Duke Ellington Orchestra for President Bill Clinton’s inaugural ball, alongside Red Rodney, Sir Roland Hanna, Harold Vick, and Dr. Lonnie Smith. &nbsp;Now residing in New York’s Capital region, Tarik continues to perform in New York City's finest jazz venues such as Mezzrow and Smalls, while continuing to mentor many young musicians in the Albany, New York music scene. She writes songs inspired by the world around her with a unique voice that will stop you in your tracks.Carolyn's second album "Take It Easy" (2024) is a 6-song EP is about learning to take care of yourself and finding joy in a difficult world. There’s a reason why Ricky Skaggs pulled Eric and Leigh Gibson off the stage at the Ryman two decades ago and offered to produce their debut record. The same thing that led David Ferguson and GrammyAward winning producer and Black Keys frontman DanAuerbach to co-write and produce their 14th album “Mockingbird” (2018) and release it on his own label Easy Eye Sound alongside cultural icons such as HankWilliams Jr. and Dr. John: the Gibson Brothers are the real deal. They can pick . They can sing. And they can write a damn good country song. They’ve won about every bluegrass award you can name and released albums on almost every premierAmericana label you can think of including Sugar Hill and Rounder, and, if that’s not enough, their songs have been recorded by bluegrass legends no less than Del McCoury. It’s a resume almost anybody in country music would be proud to have. But despite all of this, The Gibson Brothers are not yet household names. Their latest album, “Darkest Hour,” produced by dobro master Jerry Douglas might just change that. As soon as you hear Leigh singing with Alison Krauss [“I Feel The Same Way As You”] on the new project you realize that his voice is as good as anyone in music today. Add the brother harmony to that and they have something truly unique. While “Mockingbird” featured gorgeous production, recreating the sound on stage was difficult. “We put together a little band to go out and try to recreate it,” Eric told me, but we couldn't. We would have to have such a huge band to try to recreate that record, but we did the best we could.” Douglas—who has won 14 Grammy awards and backed up everyone from Ray Charles to PaulSimon and George Jones—wanted to make a record they could actually play on the road. So he picked the best songs (out of dozens) and squirreled them away in Sound Emporium’s Studio B. But then the pandemic hit. “We did our last shows in March of 2020,” Eric told me. “We were in Nashville the week everything was shutting down. It was surreal, but Jerry was like, ‘Guys, the world's going crazy. Let's let this be our little cocoon.’And we did. We cut all of the acoustic stuff and then went home and didn't play any more gigs until things started opening. Then we went back and finished the record with Jerry in February of 2021.” The result is arguably the strongest record The Gibson Brothers have ever made.The songs recorded in the first recording period featured Mike Barber (bass), Justin Moses (mandolin),Eamon McGloughlin (fiddle), and of course, Jerry Douglas, adding in John Gardner (drums), Guthrie Trapp (electric guitar), andTodd Parks (bass) for the final tracks, “Darkest Hour”showcases just how easily Eric and Leigh move from what Dan Auerbach dubbed “country soul” (“I Go Driving”) to high octane bluegrass (“What a Difference A Day Makes” and “Dust”) with Douglas always keeping the spotlight on the songs themselves. “That’s what I love about those guys,” Douglas told me, “they are just great songwriters.” Growing up on a dairy farm in northern NewYork and then traveling around the world in a bluegrass band has given them a unique vantage point on life, and the songs on “Darkest Hour”are a testament to that. “Jerry wanted to hear everything we’d written,” Eric told me, “so we just sent him songs: brand new songs, old songs, there's stuff on that record 20 years old that we never recorded. We wanted to see what he would do with us as singer-songwriters. We respect him that much. Some of my favorite records are Jerry Douglas produced records. He didn’t disappoint.” If the Gibson Brothers had stayed in Nashville in 1999 they might possibly be Grand Ole Opry members by now. At the very least they would be hit songwriters on Music Row. But, just like their buddy Del McCoury, they chose family over success (McCoury was in his 50s when he moved to Nashville and didn't really see major success until he was approaching 60). All they need is someone to shine a light on them. Their talent level is well-established, the only producers they have ever worked with are Ricky Skaggs, Dan Auerbach, David Ferguson and Jerry Douglas. I dare say not many musicians can stack up a list of producers that strong. For the Gibson Brothers though, they just want to keep writing, singing, and standing on a stage.

Marty O'Reilly

Jacob Jolliff is one of the world’s premier contemporary mandolinists. He attended Berklee College of Music on a full scholarship and in 2012, he won the USA’s National Mandolin Championship. A fixture of the bluegrass community, he has collaborated and shared the stage with Bela Fleck, Tony Trishka and Michael Daves, to name a few. He’s also toured asa member of the groups Joy Kills Sorrow and Yonder Mountain String Band. His own ensemble, The Jacob Jolliff Band, is one of the most cutting-edge progressive bluegrass groups on the scene today. They’ve released three albums; the most recent of which, “Instrumentals, Vol. 2: Mandolin Mysteries,” dropped in May of this year. They play a combination of complex original instrumental music and trad tunes. The <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.aric.network">Adirondack Regional Immigration Collaborative, Inc. (ARIC)</a> is a non-profit corporation that brings&nbsp;together folks throughout northeastern New York State to welcome immigrants to and support them in our local communities. We are composed of health care and social service providers, educators, faith-based&nbsp;groups, businesses that employ immigrants, and other non-profit leaders, all of whom understand that as they settle among us, immigrants add measurably to our region’s vitality.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;To help create smooth resettlement pathways&nbsp;for them, we are developing efforts in three major categories:&nbsp;<ol><li>We provide the means to share information among our collaborators on how best to welcome and to settle the immigrants who are arriving here. These efforts include celebrating our new neighbors and providing information on how to protect them.</li><li>We are developing a “strongbox” of resources that may be needed immediately as they arrive or subsequently in the near term until they can get on their own feet. These resources include information on best practices to integrate them into our communities and funding to help support them should there be urgent need to pay for legal support or housing.</li><li>Recognizing the value of the diversity and economic strength they bring to us, to say nothing of the joy we receive in knowing them as new neighbors, we are developing a voice of advocacy to grow the size and energy of immigrant allies.</li></ol>&nbsp;We welcome you to our community forum on immigration, Voices at the Table, an event developed by ARIC with generous support from the Glens Falls Foundation. ARIC’s work is also supported with a grant from the Common Roots Foundation.&nbsp; During the forum, we will share:<ul><li>Food and music from different parts of the world,</li><li>Stories of some of our new neighbors and some of the businesses that employ them,</li><li>Information about immigration law,</li><li>Information about the challenges both immigrants and businesses face in light of the new administration’s push to close our borders and effect mass deportation, and</li><li>The reasons we should do what we can to keep them integrated among us.</li></ul>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;

On the Final Friday of each month, The Park Presents: Comedy After Dark - showcasing a Headliner along with a feature act, a host, and a guest comedian to make up nearly 2 hours of entertainment.<hr>MEGHAN HANLEY, is a Brooklyn based, internationally touring stand-up comedian, who hasbeen featured in Forbes, and appeared on AXSTV’s “Gotham Comedy Live,” The MSG Network, DreamsTV, Fox’s “Laughs” and “Red Eye.” &nbsp;In 2023, her Dry Bar Comedy Special “Friends With Kids,” premiered on The App and her comedy album, “This Happy,” debuted at number 1 on the iTunes charts. In addition to hearing her album on Sirius Satellite Radio, you can also find “This Happy,” The Special, on Meghan’s YouTube Channel. Hanley’s quick wit and upbeat persona, have lead to her being featured in several Festivals, and two tours with Armed Forces Entertainment, providing laughter to our Troops overseas. She’s also a favorite for fundraisers, and corporate clients, including The NFL, Bank of America, The Girl Scouts, Intel and Samsung. Louise Bichan is a USA-based Scottish musician and photographer who uses bothmediums to tell stories old and new.Growing up in the remote but culturally rich Orkney islands, a place where creativity abounds and playing music has been a part of the social fabric for centuries, gave Louise a solid grounding in music. She started playing fiddle at the age of 7 after witnessing the magic of live music: “I remember the butterflies in the tummy feeling when watching concerts at the Orkney Folk Fest as a kid, wanting to be a part of it all.”The sense of community and belonging it gave her was infectious; she pestered her parents to let her learn. In the years since, she has honed her craft, first amongst the cream of Scottish folk at Glasgow’s renowned session scene and performances with talent like Orkney group Fara and award-winning singer-songwriter Rachel Sermanni, before a scholarship to Berklee College of Music, Boston, where she developed her style further.Masterfully blending traditional and classical arrangements, her music is thoughtful, and complex, curious and playful. Registration Available Through SUNY Adirondack Continuing Education ProgramGet an inside look at the historic Park Theater! Built in 1911, Park Theater served as the first movie theater in Glens Falls, becoming a gathering place for residents to watch silent films and vaudeville shows. After closing in 1935, Glens Falls Post Co. (former publishers of The Post-Star), purchased the theater in 1937 and converted it into a printing plant. In 2014, local developer Elizabeth Miller, president of Miller Industrial Manufacturing, purchased the property for restoration. Park Theater reopened in 2018 as a state-of-the-art performing and event space, with Doc’s Restaurant located downstairs. In 2022, Doc’s Restaurant closed its doors and the culinary team relocated across the street to Park &amp; Elm.&nbsp;&nbsp;Park Theater now operates as a fully functioning event space perfect for weddings, conferences, concerts and more. The album features all first takes recorded live in Oneonta NY at the historic Wilber Mansion in the heart of the small city.In April of 2024, Wyatt Ambrose helped curate and run the first annual “Hartwick Jazz Day” featuring trumpeter <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://rayvegamusic.com/">Ray Vega</a> at Hartwick College with his colleagues Evan Jagels and Gregg Norris. Offerings of the festival included individual and group masterclasses open to both Hartwick students and community members. South Glens Falls High School's Award-winning Stage 42 Drama Club will be hosting their fifth annual Gala Fundraiser. The evening will include performances from this year's Hadestown: Teen Edition cast and technical crew members, with Stage 42 directors John Benware and Betsy Stambach-Fuller serving as collaborative pianists. Stage 42 Alumni and families will also be hosting a silent auction. All proceeds will benefit production expenses.&nbsp;

Tyler Giroux is a piano and valve trombone player in Upstate New York.&nbsp; He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam and a Master’s Degree in Jazz Performance from the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami.&nbsp; He has performed and studied with many notable musicians, including John Daversa, Alan Ferber, Mitch Frohman, Sheila Jordan, Dante Luciani, Brian Lynch, Scott Robinson, Tony Succar, and Bret Zvacek.&nbsp; He finished 1st place in the 2014 International Tuba Euphonium Conference Rich Matteson Jazz Competition, and has performed at numerous festivals, including the Monterey Jazz Festival, Quebec Jazz Festival, and Albany Riverfront Jazz Festival. &nbsp;&nbsp;Currently, Tyler performs regularly around New York State’s Capital Region.&nbsp; He performs with his own groups, as well as the Giroux Brothers, Alex Torres and His Latin Orchestra, GNP, the Dylan Perrillo Orchestra, Bryan Brundige and the Piggly Wigglies, The Brass Machine, and several other local musicians.​In addition to his performing career, Tyler is an avid music educator.&nbsp; He is an experienced private instructor and clinician, topics including piano, trombone, jazz theory, and improvisation.Matt Niedbalski is a drummer known for bringing musicality and energy to the bandstand. The Music of Thelonious Monk

Ethan Setiawan &amp; Fine Ground is visually a bluegrass band, born of a yearning to return to bluegrass roots and imbued with original tunes and quality songwriting. Named “creative and virtuosic” by WBUR Boston, mandolinist Ethan Setiawan’s path has wended its way through traditional bluegrass, to Bach partitas, to free jazz. He has won both the National Mandolin Championship and the RockyGrass Mandolin Championship. In creating Fine Ground, Ethan called on some of his favorite musicians in the Northeastern bluegrass community: BB Bowness on banjo, Julian Pinelli on fiddle, Alex Rubin on guitar, and Brittany Karlson on bass. The band gets at the heart of bluegrass while simultaneously infusing it with their own disparate musical influences. <hr>Alan Epstein has been playing music since his college days in the early 1970’s, when his father bought him his first mandolin. Originally&nbsp;from Pittsburgh, Pa, and since 2008 living in Upstate NY, Alan worked on construction projects all his career, living in various parts of the country, but always finding time to play and teach bluegrass music on the side as a hobby. All of that changed in&nbsp;February of this year, when he played his first solo gig at The Rockhill Bakehouse here in Glens Falls, blending&nbsp;a mix of bluegrass vocals, with his mandolin playing and telling stories along the way. Henry & Betsey Crandall Award

Kate McDonnell, singer-songwriter, plays her guitar upside down and backward (UDB) and sings with her whole being. She has performed solo at the Newport Folk Festival, on the Mountain Stage radio show, on WXPN’s World Café, and at the Kennedy Center. Her award-winning songwriting has been singled out for praise by the Village Voice, Sing Out!, the Boston Globe and Dirty Linen. Kate has two CDs on Waterbug Records, and one each on Appleseed Recordings and Brambus Records, and her fifth and sixth albums were self-produced on her label Dog-Eared Discs.Kate took a 15-year break, starting in 2006, to earn her master’s degree at Smith College in child therapy and worked as a school therapist for children in special education programs. But since the muse never stops haunting the artist, Kate decided to go back into the studio to record her fifth CD, Ballad of a Bad Girl which was recorded as a trio with luminaries Jerry Marotta and Tony Levin, an album which rose to #5 upon its release and #16 for the year of 2021 on the Folk DJ charts. Kate teamed up again with her songwriting partner Anne Lindley to present a fresh batch of soulful, fierce, and engaging new songs on her sixth album Trapeze, released in September of 2024, which also jumped to #5 upon its release.“Girl Blue” began in Albany during the recording process for the “I Am Not a Star” EP. Fate intervened here, and the first single “Fire Under Water” was plucked from obscurity and placed in the #7 slot on Spotify’s “New Music Friday” playlist. Suddenly this ‘brand new’ artist was sitting between Alicia Keys and Lady Gaga on perhaps the biggest discovery playlist of the moment. The song charted on Spotify’s Viral Charts in the US, UK, Canada and globally. It received 1 million streams in less than a month.The entire EP performed incredibly well and many opportunities arose for Girl Blue. Songwriter Showcase

Get an inside look into the historic Park Theater! Built in 1911, The Park Theater served as the first movie theater in Glens Falls, becoming a gathering place for residents to watch silent films and vaudeville shows. After closing in 1935, Glens Falls Post Co. (former publishers of The Post-Star), purchased the theater in 1937 and converted it into a printing plant. In 2014, local developer Elizabeth Miller, president of Miller Industrial Manufacturing, purchased the property for restoration. The Park Theater reopened in 2018 as a state-of-the-art performing and event space, with Doc’s Restaurant located downstairs. In 2022, Doc’s Restaurant closed its doors and the culinary team relocated across the street to Park &amp; Elm.&nbsp;&nbsp;The Park Theater now operates as a fully functioning event space perfect for weddings, conferences, concerts and more. Last year we listened to Disc 1, this year we listen to Disc 2! The Beatles’ follow up to “Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” was “The Beatles” aka “The White Album”, a double record set filled with innovative and diverse music. The Beatles had been on retreat to India in early 1968 and experienced a rush of creative energy. George Martin, the Beatles executive producer, wanted them to pare the 30 songs they recorded down to a single record. Beatles fans are forever grateful they didn’t! Matt Niedbalski is back with his monthly Jazz Night featuring a rotating lineup of featured artists and favorite collaborators. Enjoy music from the farthest throes of the jazz genre, from the classics you already love to originals you’ll fall in love with.Keyboardist/Composer, Robert Lindquist was born and raised in Albany, New York. He has played piano since he was seven and started composing and improvising shortly thereafter. He attended SCCC and SUNY Potsdam for Music Education/Performance and recently Masters in Jazz Studies at The College of St. Rose. He is trained in both classical and jazz piano. His teachers have included Dan Dobek (Classical/Jazz), Mark Evans (Classical, SCCC), Eugenia Tsarov (Classical, Crane School of Music), Lee Shaw (Jazz Piano, College of St. Rose) and Brett Zvacek (Jazz Studies, Crane School of Music). Rob has appeared in performance with Chuck D'Aloia, Jeff Seigel, Dave Calarco, John Menegon, Scott Weinholdt, Harry Allen, Dick Oatts and Brett Zvacek.Rob has won several awards while playing at the "Notre Dame Collegiate Jazz Festival" in 1999 from Benny Green and Chuck Israels.He has performed professionally since he was fifteen in upstate NY and also in Boston, NYC, and N.J playing many styles including jazz, rock and classical music. He has played gigs with: the Dave Calarco "Jazz Conclave", "New Regime", "EW Quintet", "Lee Russo Group", "Mike Dimin Ensemble", " Keith Pray Group", "Brian Patneaude Quintet", "Cleen Street R&amp;B Band", "Soul System", "Melting Picassos" and "The Karen Lawrence Band". Little Saints are an original band born in Saratoga Springs, NY. The three-piece, genre-bending combo is made up of singer/songwriter Natalie Santini, guitarist Andy Arnold, and bassist Ian Dingman. The band was founded by Natalie and Andy who- after having met in early 2019- decided to team up to work on melding Natalie’s devotion to powerfully agile singing, and honest, mature songwriting with Andy’s love for raw-yet-refined guitar playing. You’ll hear the heavy influence of the New Orleans sound across the band and in the stories told by their original tunes. On the Third Thursday of each month, join Matt Niedbalski and a rotating cast of talented, regional jazz musicians.The GNP Trio is:Tyler Giroux, pianoTyler Giroux is a valve trombone&nbsp;and piano player in Upstate New York.&nbsp;He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam and a Master’s Degree in Jazz Performance from the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami.&nbsp;He has performed and studied with many notable musicians, including John Daversa, Alan Ferber, Mitch Frohman, Dante Luciani, Brian Lynch, Scott Robinson, Tony Succar, and Bret Zvacek.&nbsp;He finished 1st place in the 2014 International Tuba Euphonium Conference Rich Matteson Jazz Competition, and has performed at numerous festivals, including the Monterey Jazz Festival and Albany Riverfront Jazz Festival.&nbsp;He recently performed with jazz artist and vocalist Sheila Jordan as part of the Quebec Jazz Festival.&nbsp;Currently, Tyler performs regularly around New York State’s Capital Region.&nbsp;He performs with his own groups, as well as the Giroux Brothers, Alex Torres and His Latin Orchestra, GNP, the Dylan Perrillo Orchestra, Bryan Brundige and the Piggly Wigglies, Mike Jenkins and the Fat Ties, and several other local musicians.​In addition to his performing career, Tyler is an avid music educator.&nbsp;He is an experienced private instructor and clinician, topics including trombone, euphonium, piano, jazz theory, and improvisation. HARVEST &amp; RUST returns to The Park Theater withNeil Young’s Greatest Hits. &nbsp;It’s hard to represent the wide-array of Neil Young’s influential material in one show, but that’s exactly what the band HARVEST &amp; RUST does.&nbsp;Based in Western Massachusetts, HARVEST &amp; RUST often augment their show with other well-known local musicians to reproduce every era of Neil Young’s music.&nbsp;Be it the chart-topping HARVEST material (including Old Man, Heart of Gold, etc.) to the electric explorations of RUST NEVER SLEEPS (Hey Hey My My, etc.), as well as songs from Neil’s time in Crosby Stills Nash &amp; Young and Buffalo Springfield, you’re in for a night of “complete Neil”.&nbsp;And, HARVEST &amp; RUST never the same set list twice, which is exactly how Mr. Young does it!&nbsp;

Harvest & Rust

Fellow Pynins is an Ashland, Oregon based award winning contemporary folk duo with a keen and bucolic sense of vocal harmony and song craft anchored in the balladry tradition. The duo consists of Dani Aubert (claw-hammer banjo, bouzouki) and solo artist Ian George (guitar, mandolin). They are songwriters, collectors, and interpreters. Since 2016 the duo has toured the US incessantly and has gathered significant traction in the UK/Ireland, gracing festivals such as Cambridge Folk Festival, Wilderness Festival, Omagh Bluegrass Festival, and selling out legs of their most recent UK/Ireland tour. In 2019 they were named by NPR’s Bob Boilen as one of the best Tiny Desk submissions and the same year won the Minnesota Bluegrass &amp; Old-Time duet competition. In 2020/2021 the duo relocated from Minneapolis, MN back to Oregon to build (learning every step of the way) two tiny houses on wheels for their family, which they now live in. On May 20, 2022 Fellow Pynins released their sophomore album Lady Mondegreen while officially showcasing at the 2022 Folk Alliance International Conference in Kansas City. Lady Mondegreen, recorded live over 10 days in December 2021 at their off-grid tiny house dwelling in the mountains of Oregon, is an ode to their love and reverence for traditional music. All songs on the album were learned person-to-person from various individuals they met whilst traveling with their two children over a 10 month song collecting trip through Europe/UK/Ireland in their transformed camper van “Big Blue.” The album showcases their “strong vocal harmonies” (- Smithsonian Folkways), instrumental prowess, and adventurous arrangements quintessential to the Fellow Pynins rustic sound. The duo’s sophomore album is being received with remarkably positive reviews. Songlines states “Lady Mondegreen is an exquisitely harmonised treasure trove of imaginatively reinterpreted, historically significant acoustic music” while Paul McGee of Lonesome Highway stated it as one of the best folk albums of the year. In 2021, Shafi was named one of New York's Funniest Stand Up by the New York Comedy Festival. He has over 100K social media following and is a regular at the world renowned Comedy Cellar. In 2023, Shafi embarked on a nationwide tour, taking center stage at renowned clubs such as Zanies, The Riot, and Helium. Additionally, he headlined performances in international locales, captivating audiences in Canada, Paris, and London.

The music virtuosity of its members are deeply rooted in the jarocho tradition, where all of them have learned directly from ancient masters and have developed and proven their skills both at national and international stages.Proudly representing their culture around the world since 2007, the group has been invited to perform in South, Central and North America, as well as Europe, Africa and Asia. They have also collaborated with well-known artists such as Lila Downs, Jorge Drexler and La Santa Cecilia, and are commonly invited to represent Mexico in Cultural Diplomatic missions, such as the World International Expo in Dubai 2022.Adriana Cao Romero and Raquel Palacios Vega started the group in 2007, motivated by their passion for music, their lifelong friendship, and their desire to create a son jarocho group with a feminine perspective. They took the name from a song by Patricio Hidalgo, “La Caña”, where it emphasizes the duality of the sugar cane, an asset commonly cultivated in the region of Veracruz, that offers the sweet of its taste, but the martyrdom of its harvest.The name “Caña Dulce y Caña Brava” (Sweet cane, brave cane), seemed befitting as it served as an anchor to their land of origin, filling them with memories of their childhood and even a bit of nostalgia.The son jarocho tradition is a story about migration that started in the region of Veracruz, the land where Spanish and African arrived to the American continent 500 years ago and eventually coexisted with the Native populations. The mix of these cultures provoque the rise of a new human expression, synthesized as son jarocho. The songs of this tradition, called “sones”, have been perpetuated throughout the years by oral transmission and are still alive thanks to dedicated musicians, dancers and poets.Caña Dulce y Caña Brava are now tradition-bearers with the mission of continuing the echo of sounds and sentiments that came together so long ago, adding their own sentiments and composing new verses to bring a contemporary - and feminine - perspective. Over the years, Damn The Torpedoes has evolved with more committed members and a deep understanding of the Tom Petty catalog. The current lineup has been in place for several years and demonstrates the unspoken chemistry that makes a great band. The signature riffs, harmonies and underlying parts of the music are all there - along with some fresh twists that are often inspired in the moment. The resulting performances have audiences smiling, singing, dancing and mourning the loss of this great artist. Rich Kubicz, who plays the role of Tom Petty in the show, has been playing guitar and singing since his early teens. By 2007, so many people had told him that he looked and&nbsp;sounded like Tom Petty that he decided to put together Damn The Torpedoes as a tribute to Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. His goal was to play all of the studio hits, with live versions and some deep cuts to create the illusion of a Tom Petty concert performance. This meant that each band member would need to duplicate the sounds as found on the records. Lee Boice&nbsp;(Mike Campbell... Lead Guitar) Lee Boice is a well established guitarist from the NY City music scene and has played all over America and Europe. Besides being known for his exciting live performances, Lee is also a music producer and writer and is at home in the studio as well as on stage. With experience in various styles of music including Funk, Rock, Blues, and World Music, Lee has mastered many guitar styles and techniques. Gary Castelluccio(Benmont Tench/Scott Thurston... Keyboards, Piano, Guitar, Harmonica, Backing Vocals) Gary has been involved with music and performing since the age of 13. He started with guitar and later learned to play keyboard and harmonica. Over the years, he has played in cover bands, original projects and studio sessions. His experience and versatility has helped him to become a consummate side man adding support and color to the bands he works with. Jon Provan(Ron Blair/Howie Epstein, Bass Guitar and backing vocals) Jon caught the music bug young, playing and singing in rock bands, a cappella groups, sax quartets, theatre pits, recording studios and more. He’s also laid down his bass groove for many Indie and original bands. When not on stage with DTT, Jon is the musical director at a theater, a solo artist and a theatrical performer. Ross Kantor(Stan Lynch/Steve Ferrone...Drums/Percussion and Backing Vocals) Ross is the quintessential percussionist and the driving force behind DTT's tight rhythm section. His versatility allows him to play with the finesse of Stan Lynch and the power of Steve Ferrone while also adding polished vocals to an already very melodic harmony section. When Ross isn't playing with DTT, he is an in-demand drummer for live events, indie bands and studio sessions.

Atheer Yacoub is a Brooklyn based comedian and writer and she just released her first comedy album&nbsp;Denied Entry&nbsp;with Comedy Records.&nbsp;Atheer has a half-hour special on Comedy Central Arabia and has been featured on AXSTV's&nbsp;Gotham Comedy Live.&nbsp;She's the co-creator of the sketch comedy show Muslim Girls DTF:&nbsp;Discuss Their Faith, which is currently streaming on Fuse TV.&nbsp;She has been featured in numerous comedy festivals and tours domestically and internationally.

On Thursday March 21 at 6:30 The Rochmon Record Club will converge to listen and learn about The Cars eponymous first album - “The Cars” at The Park Theater, 14 Park Street, Glens Falls. Doors open at 6:30, the show begins at 7 pm with a live audio &amp; video presentation by Chuck Vosganian aka “Rochmon”. The Cars were formed in Boston in 1976 and spent 2 years dialing in their sound, working on the Boston bar circuit, and recording self-produced demos. The Cars eponymous first album, produced by studio wunderkind Roy Thomas Baker, was released in June 1978, and changed the sound of music on the radio. “The Cars”, which itself could qualify as a greatest hits collection, is filled with quirky, genre defying, and defining songs that got suburbia pogoing and slam dancing! We’ll listen to all of “The Cars” including “Good Times Roll”, “My Best Friend’s Girl”, You’re All I Got Tonight”, “Just What I Needed” and 5 more. On the Third Thursday of each month, join Matt Niedbalski and a rotating cast of talented, regional jazz musicians. Eric Ciarmello, saxophoneEric was born and raised in Rotterdam, NY. He attended The College of Saint Rose where he received a Music Education degree with a minor in Jazz Studies. During that time, Eric performed with the Alex Torres Latin Orchestra and the Joey Thomas Big Band. Eric was also selected as a member of the Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Jazz Orchestra which is made up of the top collegiate musicians on the East Coast. The band was made up of students from New School, Manhattan School of Music, Berklee and many others. Upon graduation, Eric worked for Princess Cruise Lines as a Woodwind Specialist, performing with world class musicians throughout the South Pacific, South East Asia and Japan. When he returned to the states, he moved to New York City where he taught and performed for several years. Eric is now living back upstate and is the Elementary Band Director at Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk and teaches privately at Blue Sky Music Studios. In addition to his teaching, he can be seen all over the Albany area performing mainly with Ten Most Wanted, but also as a sideman in various groups and leading his own quartet and trio. Eric has been composing for many years. The group’s sound is a culmination of those many years and contains a wide array of influences. The Eric Ciarmello Quintet is made up of Eric Ciarmello, Adam Siegel on saxophone, Tyler Giroux on piano, Jason Emmond on bass and Matt Niedbalski on drums performing mostly original music with a mix of modern jazz tunes and standards. The group will be recording their debut album later this year!Matt Niedbalski, drums Matt Niedbalski is a drummer known for bringing musicality and energy to the bandstand. Born and raised in New York’s Capital District, Matt was exposed to music at a very early age. While in high school he took private drum lessons with drummer/author Ted Mackenzie and participated in the Empire State Youth Orchestra as well as the Skidmore Summer Jazz Institute. In 2022 the band is honored and thrilled to be performing these songs - and even newer ones - for live audiences.Dynamic range is a hallmark of any concert by The Mammals. The quintet ensemble effortlessly spans the horizons of Americana, from soulfully harmonized indie-folk ballads to zealous fiddle and banjo-driven foot stompers.&nbsp;The band’s core and founders Mike Merenda &amp; Ruth Ungar write songs to heal hearts and rouse minds. They have recorded and performed together for two decades, as the duo Mike + Ruthy and with The Mammals. Formed in 2011 by British session musicians based in NYC, The Brit Pack take their audience on a journey through a dynamic blend of British classics known and loved by all, including The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Queen, David Bowie, Elton John, The Who, Oasis, Radiohead, The Police, Amy Winehouse and many more. The Brit Pack is a supergroup of sorts, featuring the amazing talents of Matt Nakoa (vocals, guitar, keys), Mark Johnson (guitar, vocals), Bryan Percivall (bass), and Will Haywood Smith (drums). The accomplished band members of The Brit Pack have performed with artists such as Paul McCartney, Elton John, Britney Spears, Chet Faker, Tom Rush and Mark Hudson among many others. Get an inside look into the historic Park Theater — now the premier entertainment venue in Glens Falls! Built in 1911, The Park Theater served as the first movie theater in Glens Falls, becoming a gathering place for residents to watch silent films and vaudeville shows. After closing in 1935, Glens Falls Post Co. (former publishers of The Post-Star), purchased the theater in 1937 and converted it into a printing plant. In 2014, local developer Elizabeth Miller, president of Miller Industrial Manufacturing, purchased the property for restoration. The Park Theater reopened in 2018 as a state-of-the-art performing and event space, with Doc’s Restaurant located downstairs. In 2022, Doc’s Restaurant closed its doors and the culinary team relocated across the street to Park &amp; Elm.&nbsp;The Park Theater now operates as a fully functioning event space perfect for weddings, conferences, concerts and more. Zan &amp; The Winter Folk is an Americana band from Troy, NY. Led by Zan Strumfeld, they create anthems for the revivalists, lullabies for the lonely, and ballads for the hopeful. Vacillating between an acoustic quartet — two guitars, banjo and upright bass — and a rocking quintet with drums, the Winter Folk blend an upbeat, rootsy spirit with a melodic longing and vulnerability in their storytelling. Since forming in 2017, they have played at festivals, music halls and living rooms. At the crossroads of South American folk music and Northern Americana you will find Acoustic Nomads, a band of rising stars taking the acoustic music scene by storm.​ Acoustic Nomads interweaves folkloric traditions from North and South America with soaring musical improvisation, and their influences span from Appalachia to Argentina.&nbsp; The band's unique sound is a result of the players harnessing these varied musical interests and joyously exploring uncharted territory together.​ Since forming in 2019, Acoustic Nomads has headlined performances at WBUR Cityspace in Boston, Club Passim in Cambridge, Arts at the Armory in Somerville, and has performed at festivals including Freshgrass, Grey Fox, and Joe Val.&nbsp;​ The members of Acoustic Nomads have toured nationally and internationally, playing everywhere from NPR Tiny Desk, to the British Isles, Peru, and Canada.&nbsp; Their performances maintain the spirit of folkloric music, while delving into conversational soloing and sophisticated chamber music arrangements, showing how different cultures can come together and join in the celebration of humanity through art.&nbsp; Acoustic Nomads’ two most recent albums, “The Abominable Stringband Vol. 1 &amp; 2,” are available for streaming and purchase wherever you get your music!&nbsp; Following in the footsteps of world music giants like The Silk Road Project, Acoustic Nomads seeks to change the world through musical collaboration. On the Third Thursday of each month, join Matt Niedbalski and a rotating cast of talented, regional jazz musicians.Awan Rashad, saxophoneAwan was first handed a saxophone when he was nine years old and has spent almost everyday since then studying jazz and classical music, as well as music theory. After graduating from Christian Brothers Academy, he attended SUNY Schenectady County Community College for two years before transferring to, and graduating from SUNY Purchase in 2023, earning a bachelor’s in music. In his early years he was a member of the ESYO Wind Ensemble and Jazz Ensemble, as well as the NYSSMA All-State Jazz Band. More recently he has performed at many well-known jazz clubs in NYC such as Birdland, Dizzy’s, Smalls, Ornithology, Jazz Forum, and other smaller venues. He also regularly performs in the capital region with various bands. He started teaching private lessons during college, both online and in person, and has continued to do so for students of all ages and levels. He is a very passionate musician/teacher who makes it his mission to help his students improve without forgetting to fuel their creativity and love of the instrument. Matt Niedbalski, drums Matt Niedbalski is a drummer known for bringing musicality and energy to the bandstand. Born and raised in New York’s Capital District, Matt was exposed to music at a very early age. While in high school he took private drum lessons with drummer/author Ted Mackenzie and participated in the Empire State Youth Orchestra as well as the Skidmore Summer Jazz Institute. Before graduating high school Matt played with many local musicians, performing at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, the Final Stretch Music Festival and the Lake George Jazz Festival where he opened for Rudresh Manthappa and Bunky Green.

L'amour Provençal

Hiroya is a one-of-a-kind guitarist and composer. Born and raised in Kyoto, Japan and in 2000, he received a scholarship to Berklee College of Music and came to the US. Since then, he has been performing internationally including United Nations, Blue Note in New York Japanese National Television. Hiroya released six albums. Most recently, he won 2nd place in International Finger Style Guitar Championship in 2022.

One-of-a-kind composer, guitarist&nbsp;and singer-songwriter Hiroya Tsukamoto will demonstrate fingerstyle techniques (playing with the fingers in place of a pick), including chords and basic theory. In this&nbsp;workshop,&nbsp;Hiroya will cover how to practice on a daily basis to improve your skills. Fingerstyle Guitar Workshop 

On Wednesday January 31 Rochmon Record Club will converge at The Park Theater, 14 Park Street, Glens Falls, to listen to, and learn about, Jackson Browne’s fifth album, “Running On Empty”! Doors open at 6:30, the show begins at 7 pm with a live audio &amp; video presentation by Chuck Vosganian aka “Rochmon”. Jackson Browne and his band hit the ground running in 1972. Four years and four albums later “Running On Empty” captures life on the road; the family it had become, and the challenges it presented. Jackson Browne’s band, at the top of their skills, thrilled audiences all over the world and “Running On Empty” is a document of their travels across America. In many ways a concept album, songs include “Running On Empty”, “You Love the Thunder”, “Cocaine”, the pairing of “The Load Out” and Maurice William’s “Stay” and 5 more. “Running On Empty” is a testament to love and life on the road, a peek behind the curtain that we very rarely get. As is his way, Rochmon will have a few surprises in store! The Rochmon Record Club Listening Party begins at 7pm with a live audio &amp; video presentation by Chuck Vosganian aka “Rochmon”. A Rochmon Record Club Listening Party is meant to inform and deepen our understanding of the history of the individual performers, the songs and the stories that went into the making of this iconic album.
