Heels To The Hardwood is a soulful Americana rock band known for their powerful vocals, expressive and honest lyrics, intricate guitar riffs, smooth keyboard and pedal steel melodies, and driving backbeats that will keep your toes tapping and your feet stomping. Heels To The Hardwood formed in the spring of 2011 in Seattle, WA. They have released three records and performed on countless stages throughout the Pacific Northwest. Their fourth album Truck Driver, will be released on May 9th 2026. The band will be celebrating their new record with shows in Seattle on May 9th, and Bellingham on June 6th.Forest Stoke is Zach Hamer's solo project. Based out of Skagit County, Zach is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter with a focus on folk and country. A seasoned performer, Zach, has spent the last decade playing festivals and venues coast to coast, bringing an energetic and engaging performance wherever he goes. The Forest Stoke y'allternative cover of the classic Rob Zombie song, 'Dragula' recently went viral online adding to the growing fanbase both locally and nationally. Zach is also a founding member of the band Kuinka.Walker &amp; The Stardust Rangers make music meant to unite and galvanize connection in resistance to forces that incite division. Since 2014, rapper and multi-instrumentalist Rhys Langston has released 20 projects which have stretched beyond genre and even the musical medium itself. Notable works include 2020’s Language Arts Unit, which came with a 104 pg book that dissected rap and race in a long form lyric essay. Grapefruit Radio arrived two years later in similar fashion—with an 88 pg paperback of his visual art and absurdist prose, along with full album lyrics. Those earned him nods from The NY Times, The LA Times, Bandcamp, SPIN, STEREOGUM, DJ Booth, and others.Wider range and idiosyncratic edge can be found on other projects, like 2021’s burst of punk rock invective Stalin Bollywood, 2019’s visual EP The T.C. Wash Suite, and his production on outsider artist Andrew Mbaruk's 2023 Affect Theory and the Text-to-Speech Grandiloquence.In 2023 Langston released the Pioneer 11 collaboration, To Operate This System, a melody-forward melange of hip-hop, alternative R&amp;B, and electro-psych. In 2024, his collaborative streak continued with the Frankie Jax No Mad-assisted Notes From the Unemployment Office, and then the steel tipped dove produced Polyglot on Chloroform.2025 brings his 20th project, Pale Black Negative. Jontavious Willis is resolved in his mission: to reinvigorate today’s Blues with the spirit of the past. Inspired by a time when the Blues were plentiful and rhythm reigned supreme, Jontavious leverages his unique sound—a synthesis of his Georgia heritage and reverence for traditional Blues—to get the world dancing again. A Grammy-nominated musician and songwriter, Jontavious performs original, toe-tapping tunes in the style of Delta, Piedmont, Texas, and Gospel Blues. Dynamic vocals, technical prowess, and an abundance of Southern charm keep Jontavious sending jolts of vitality through the Blues community. Jontavious was born and raised in rural Georgia, an environment with deep cultural roots that provides the inspiration he has continuously drawn upon to create his unique sound. He spent much of his childhood singing Gospel music at the Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church with his grandfather, which provided him his first setting to perform for an audience. An early phenom, his passion for the Blues was sparked at age 14 when he came across a YouTube video of Muddy Waters playing “Hoochie Coochie Man.” He achieved widespread acclaim when living legend Taj Mahal invited Jontavious to accompany him onstage in 2015, with Taj describing him as his “Wonderboy.” Jontavious was invited to open for Taj Mahal and Keb’ Mo’ during their joint TajMo tour in 2018, giving him an opportunity to present his work on a national stage. Blue Metamorphosis, his acoustic debut album released in 2016, garnered rave reviews in Living Blues and Blues &amp; Rhythm and won the Blues Foundation’s International Blues Challenge 2018 Award for Best Self-Produced CD. His Grammy-nominated sophomore album, Spectacular Class, sees Jontavious survey an array of Blues styles with lively ensemble performances. His upcoming album, signed with Strolling Bones Records, is a testament to his love for songwriting. With solo tracks as well as duo, trio, and full band works, he articulates a totally original take on traditional Blues. There is a ferocious Southern engine inside of Billy Allen + The Pollies’ debut album Black Noise. It thrums to life atop a classic rock chassis and weaves in and out of gospel, grunge, funk and soul along its eleven-song journey. From the explosive top of the album (a liberating anthem of self-worth called “All of Me”) to the spiritually haunting final track (“Go on Without Them”) Black Noise is a genre-defiant haymaker that lands.The band is a hybrid of four piece indie rock outfit The Pollies and fellow Alabamian, and frontman, Billy Allen. The band and the singer met at a recording session at the iconic FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals in early 2020 and hit it off. During the isolation of the COVID pandemic, they began exchanging voice memos. With the lockdown in full swing, the musicians became one other’s micro-community, and voice memos progressed to writing sessions in Jay’s garage.When the time to record a proper record came, they tapped former Pollie Ben Tanner, a Grammy-winning producer/engineer/musician and keyboardist for Alabama Shakes. The result was Black Noise, which feels like walking on the alien terrain of a new genre, like garage grunge by way of Jackie Wilson. They are a band full of smiling time travelers, able to visit and draw from a multitude of eras and styles. Black Noise is an album that devastates you to the point of remembering why you love music. This is the type of band you root for. You can’t help it. They're that damn good.

FLORRY:A far cry from the cool, calculated distance and reserved posture that is all-too-familiar to the indie-rock sphere, Florry, the Philly-bred septet and songwriting vehicle of bandleader Francie Medosch, are marking their territory as a band resolving to do something very different: they are having a really good time out there.Cutting her teeth in the Philadelphia DIY scene starting in 2019 as a student at Temple University, the early days of Florry found Medosch at the end of her teenage years releasing a slew of singles and EP’s in a familiar idiom of lo-fi bedroom recordings tinged with country melancholy. A lot has changed since then. Most importantly, perhaps, the project snowballed into a barn-burning seven piece rock band in the proceeding years; and without sacrificing any of the emotional immediacy that's come to define Medosch’s brashly earnest, bleeding-heart lyrical style, you’re unlikely to find her lingering as much on the melancholy these days. Or, as Medosch plainly puts it in regards to Sounds Like… , the band’s forthcoming LP: “The Jackass theme song was actually a really big influence on the new album”FRIENDSHIP:Music for sleeping and waking, walking and driving, hunting and fishing, for loitering outside a roadhouse on the haunted tundra. Okay in elevators, not great for dinner. On Caveman Wakes Up Friendship’s new album and second for Merge Records, the band’s historically capacious definition of country music grows wider still. Shambolic guitars are offset by flute pads, bleary poetry is set against a Motown rhythm section, a song about Jerry Garcia and First Lady Betty Ford fades out with a drum solo, like if Talk Talk came from a dingy Philadelphia basement, and was fronted by James Tate. Songwriter Dan Wriggins’ ragged baritone cuts through eleven murky, swirling country-rock songs with profound lyrical substance and sincerity. Like an alarm clock incorporated into the edge of a dream, Caveman Wakes Up belongs equally to the conscious and subconscious mind, fraught with background, steeped in reference and experimentation, delivered casually and as a dire warning, dedicated, above all, to music’s creative soul.DEVIN CHAMPLIN:Devin Champlin is a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, luthier and artist from Northwestern Washington. As the frontman/songwriter for Sons Of Rainier (along with bandmates Dean Johnson, Sam Gelband, and Charlie Meyer) he has carved out a unique voice in the contemporary indy-folk americana world. Intimate lyrics filled with optimistic existentialism are unhurriedly sung with a woodgrain baritone over fingerpicked guitar, the occasional elbow fiddle or keyboard. He prefers not to lean too hard into any specific genre, although he's satisfied with the umbrella term "folk" as the idea of non-commercial music made by people for the people. He's spent the better part of two decades studying traditional American musical styles, specifically country blues guitar and old time fiddle tunes, learning from old source recordings, elders in the scene, and the festival/camp community. Along with that cultural musical nerdery he has a prolific output of original music. As an artist with a DIY aesthetic, he uses songcraft as a medium to create imagery- along those lines he also produces animations, videos, paintings, drawings, and prints in tandem with his musical output. Keeping the audience (and himself) on their toes, he rarely plays the same thing twice- sometimes it may seem as if the wheels are about to fall off, but the train stays on the tracks and it's a satisfying roll. His recordings, solo and with Sons Of Rainier have found their way into the permanent library of hobos, widows, fry cooks, and fancy pants alike. In addition to his 2 releases with Sons Of Rainier he has a handful of self-released full length solo albums out, including one all instrumental album recorded on an Amtrak train, and the most recently released Lonesome Splendor In The Circus Tent (2024).

He cries out for help, for empathy for all. He screams out, begging to exist in a world where genocide isn’t normalized and rewarded, where the abusers of humanity get what’s coming to them. His mom Swaneagle is known in Pacific Northwest creative and activist circles as a free-spirited visual artist whose work reflects earth consciousness, unity, and grassroots social awareness. His mother and father's influences helped shape his blend of reggae, dub, folk, pop and global influences. Get Dead vocalist Sam King's graffiti crew were giving tattoos and making flash art to raise money to help rapper Ceschi Ramos when he was in prison. Months later they met at the Gilman Street Project in Berkeley, California. They bonded, talking about their love of hip-hop and punk rock, over a bottle of Jameson. They didn't know it yet, but they had just started Codefendants. Impossible to define by traditional standards, Codefendants were forged out of a desire to make an album that sounded like nothing else; a completely genre-fluid album, a cross between hip hop, new-wave, flamenco, and the Beatles. They call the genre 'Crime Wave'.Pretty Deadly is a Dallas, Oregon-based punk rock trio born from what was supposed to be a one-off studio jam-but turned into something too fun to walk away from. Esther Rose was on a long solo drive when she started writing the opening title track of Want, her stunning fifth album. At first, the words seemed almost like a joke, something to keep herself amused as the miles passed. “I want a puppy, but I don't want a mess. I want to know where I’m going without GPS,” she sang from behind the wheel. Soon, the idea snowballed into a list of desires that spanned existential, spiritual, and mundane; romantic to platonic to familial; at once wildly ambitious yet piercingly relatable; all set to a catchy melody that blends her pop instincts with country storytelling and the raw immediacy of a basement punk show. Often characterized by her vulnerability, poetic edge, and genre-blurring sound, Veronica North offers a space where mainstream appeal meets personal expression; a soundtrack for dancing, crying, and everything in between. Some call it 'pop music for falling in and out of love'.Seattle’s Jaws of Brooklyn emerged during the 2020 pandemic, blending 60s garage rock and soul with modern songwriting and earning early acclaim for their 2022 debut The Shoals, produced by Grammy winner Ben Tanner. After building momentum with high-energy performances across the Pacific Northwest—including SXSW and Capitol Hill Block Party—the band entered a new chapter in 2024 with the addition of powerhouse vocalist Gretchen Lemon. They returned to Florence, Alabama, to record 15 new tracks with Tanner, bringing back standout background vocalists Shanay Johnson and Karita Law. Their 2025 EP Crush on You drew strong reviews, with KUT-FM naming “LiteBringer” its Song of the Day, and the band went on to sell out regional shows, play major festivals, and earn national airplay including rotation on KEXP. For more than a decade, he also held down bass duties as Axl Rose’s right-hand man in Guns N’ Roses.In 2017, following a celebrated Replacements reunion, Stinson revived Bash &amp; Pop and released the widely praised Anything Could Happen on Fat Possum Records. Then in 2022, he teamed up with veteran Philadelphia guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Chip Roberts to form Cowboys in the Campfire. In our human minds, according to the Law of Contagious Magic as described in The Golden Bough by anthropologist James Frazer, contact between two objects creates an inseparable thread between them. A gift from a dead friend forever holds this magic like a scar reflecting a wound. Similarly, a piece of food that touches the floor is suddenly abject and rotten. Pairing this notion with the Law of Similarity Magic, as described by Frazer, where an object resembling another can share its power, a musical notion can be understood to serve as an unbodied conduit of such magics; an emotional contact between the music and audience wherein such sorcery threads an inseparable seam that, for a time, resemble each other.Aptly named in reference to the aforementioned book, Stygian Bough, the collaboration between Bell Witch (Dylan Desmond, Jesse Shreibman) and Aerial Ruin (Erik Moggridge) enlivens its unbodied presence resembling both projects as a conduit in its own separate entity.The partnership at the center of Stygian Bough is over in a decade in the making, growing from Moggridge’s recurring contributions to the Bell Witch catalog.
