Join us on a bike tour and overnight camp trip hosted by Master Grazer and Farm Manager @ Full Moon Farm, Julie "Moo" Noble. Starting at Ye Olde Bicycle Shoppe, AKA Utility Bicycle Works, we'll head onto the Walkill Valley Rail Trail and then through 8 different properties in Gardiner and New Paltz along the east side of the Shawangunk Ridge. We'll traverse&nbsp;through the picturesque landscapes of the farm, stop to meet friendly farm animals, and learn about small scale cattle production and food systems of the Hudson Valley. You'll even get to interact with our beloved cows; "moo", sheep; "baah", hens; "b'gawk", and more.We'll ponder and explore questions such as:What makes a farm good for the neighborhood? Why should you be interested in where your food comes from? What is regenerative agriculture? Kin Hana -  a favorite of the shop and a local to Kingston will open the evening. He creates folky, heartfelt symphonies with splashes of droney ambience. 

Bea Troxel - on tour from Tennessee, squeezed in a stop to Kington to play and sing some truly beautiful and inspiring songs for us. Southern style indie folk with a cherry on top!

Last but not least, Bashful - the musical project of UBW's very own bicycle slinger, Bryan. This performance marks the debut of his new album release. Be sure to stay and listen to his mystical yet spirited soundscapes and let them be your lullaby for the evening.

Show starts at 7pm sharp so set your alarm clock and pick your outfit the night before!

Sell or buy preloved bicycles, parts, and accessories with fellow bike enthusiasts as we celebrate the joy of cycling this spring season. Enjoy the lovely weather, make new bike riding friends, and discover the perfect additions for your two-wheeled adventures.

If you’d like to peddle your wares, our vendor fee is $10, and must be made in advance. Purchase your ticket to vend here!

Springy Bike Swap Thingy

Learn the basics of wheel building with Bryan at UBW in a comfortable 3:1 shop environment. 

In this comprehensive workshop, we’ll discuss measurement, lacing, tensioning and truing, with each student building a bicycle wheel, start to finish. 

All tools and parts are included in ticket price. 

Shop keeps the wheel this time, so you don’t have to commit to size just yet! This one’s all about learning! 

Future classes will offer discounted pricing on parts if you’d like to build your own personal  wheel.

We’re giddy as a school of kippers to announce that Twain will be filling our little bike shop with his tender tunes as he tours his way up from Austin in conjunction with the release of his new album, Noon (which will be for sale at the show, so save your lunch money!).

 The evening will begin with the musings of Will Stratton - a local fingerstyle songwriter and UBW favorite.

What fun!

All this on a crisp October eve at the height of the autumn season in beautiful Kingston.
