Artists from all walks of life and from all parts of the world will gather to share their beauty with you&nbsp; with performances that will leave you breathless.- Friday and Saturday, November 13 &amp; 14 at <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://thecoffinclubpdx.com/">The Coffin</a> (421 SE Grand Ave) - performances from 8pm-11pm each night (doors at 7), with after party and dancing til 2 AM.​- Sunday, November 15 we will hold a Dark Market at THE COFFIN​- Saturday &amp; Sunday you will have the opportunity to take <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.umbraenoctisfestival.com/workshops">workshops&nbsp;</a>with our special guests, including our headliner Throb Zombie!

The Umbrae Noctis Festival is proud to offer workshops with our incredible headliners and feature performers!All workshops will be held at BodyVox, 1201 NW 17th Ave, Portland, OR 97209Saturday,&nbsp;November&nbsp;1411am-12:30pmAsteria Atombomb - Get the Point AcrossAre you stuck doing the same repetitive movements onstage? Trying to tell a story but can't find the actions to fit the narrative? Then this workshop is for you! Asteria will use her decades of dance, theater, and artistic direction experience to help you navigate the creation of a compelling act. Through a series of dance and improvisational exercises, attendees will explore various ways to incorporate movement into compelling storyline. Walk away feeling confident in getting your point across on the stage and leaving audiences wowed! What to bring: Journal and writing utensils. Clothes that are easy to move in. All levels welcome!&nbsp;Asteria has been a movement educator for 20 years and has made it her mission to make dance and aerial accessible for all bodies. After receiving her dance degree from Northwestern Michigan College in a modern dance concentration, she took her skills around the globe where she worked in performing arts schools and dinner theaters across Australia and New Zealand. There she found her love of burlesque in addition to her other loves such as contemporary, jazz, hip hop, heels, and tap.&nbsp;When she came back to the states, Asteria ended up in Portland and has made it their home. They continue to coach dance and pole around Portland, as well as performing around venues in the PNW. Asteria manages the BodyVox Dance Center, a world premier dance center housing 700 students per week and 71 classes. In addition to her day job, Asteria also freelances and sets her own choreographic works throughout the Portland Metro Area.

The Umbrae Noctis Festival is proud to offer workshops with our incredible headliners and feature performers!All workshops will be held at BodyVox, 1201 NW 17th Ave, Portland, OR 97209Saturday,&nbsp;November&nbsp;141pm-2:30pmTake your chair work to the next level with the them fatale of burlesque, Moscato Sky. This class will begin with a warmup to prepare students to learn innovative ways of utilizing this classic prop, how to maneuver on and off the chair with ease and grace, as well as exciting tricks that will stun any audience.&nbsp; In this workshop-styled class students will be challenged to create new movement pathways, obscure ways we approach chair work, and walk away with tools to generate chair choreography. This class is designed for students with movement background or previous chair and floor-work experience and therefore may not be appropriate for people with serious knee and back injuries. However, all levels are welcome as this class acts as a lab and encourages exploration.Wear yoga or dance clothes you can move freely in. Knee pads are encouraged but not required.&nbsp; Objectives for this class:During Chair Flow, students will be given tools to break down and rebuild their approach to movement with a chair, techniques to generate choreography, and exciting tricks to add to their repertoire.

Taught by one of the most prolific, current dancing drag kings in the industry and iconic himbo Throb Zombie. Class will entail:<ol><li>A stretch/warmup</li><li>Introduction to posture/masculine body movement</li><li>Transitions/specific moves that can&nbsp;work&nbsp;for all dance levels from beginner to advanced</li><li>Commanding space with presence</li><li>A short choreography sequence</li></ol>Don’t be scared! While this class dares to challenge you, all levels are welcome. Come gyrate, grow, and get ready to sweat with the boys!Students must bring clothes they are comfortable to move in and are very encouraged to bring a water bottle and knee pads.
