Nani won the Eurovision for minority languages 2024 representing the Netherlands. She ranked #11 World Music Charts and #13 Music Charts Europe. Her voice, music and stage presence warm the heart and thrill the soul. This tribute to Nina Simone features Nani Vazana's incredible vocals and piano, presenting Simone’s interpretations of Johan Sebastian Bach. Rangel serves as Artist in Residence at the New Mexico School for the Arts and remains active in concert performance and screen projects. Jesse Joaquin Parker is an Afro-Latin percussionist, jazz vibraphonist and educator based in Santa Fe, NM. He has performed internationally with Nosotros, recorded with Bernard Purdie, and teaches at New Mexico School for the Arts. Nani Vazana sings Nina Simone

The songs of Glorieta Pines are inspired by the happenings of the world as seen through the lens of the American Southwest. The quartet—Brian Nelson (guitars, percussion), Lindsay Taylor (mandolin, tenor guitar, flutes, fiddle), Karina Wilson (fiddle), and Todd Lovato (bass)—combines insightful songwriting, layered arrangements, and tight vocal harmonies, creating a distinctive blend of indie-acoustic music with touches of old-time fiddle tradition.Glorieta Pines originated in 2020 as a duo between spouses Lindsay Taylor and Brian Nelson, with early performances including official virtual concerts for both the Brighton Fringe and Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2021. The addition of Karina Wilson in 2022 and Todd Lovato in 2025 expanded the duo’s sound into a richly textured quartet, featuring extended instrumental passages and deeper sonic range. Hailing from the US and Ireland, Seanchai (shawn-a-key) combines an beautiful and eclectic mix of Celtic and folk music jams. With a line up of guitar, viola and the traditional Irish bodhrán drum (pronounced bow-ron), Seanchai illustrates a landscape of lively melodies and sentimental airs, transporting the listener to the green hills of Ireland and beyond. These are incredible musicians with many improvisational elements.Guitarist and Santa Fe native, TONY BURLING, known from several bands, including 'Fire for the People' and 'Moonthistle'. He now composes epic fantasy sagas on guitar and lays down incredible jams that thrill the soul and warm the heart with their nuance and Celtic groove.Irish songwriter, MARIA SCHIEL, plays the bodrán - the traditional Irish frame drum pronounced 'bow-ran', and sings in both English and Gaelic. Originally from the western coast of Ireland, she travelled four and half thousand miles to live and study in Santa Fe. He's a pianist, producer, and multi-instrumentalist deeply rooted in the Santa Fe music scene, balancing performance with his teaching and recording.Michael Chavez is a prominent drummer and percussion educator from Santa Fe, New Mexico, known for touring internationally with Grammy-nominated guitarist Ottmar Liebert and Luna Negra and for his extensive work teaching percussion at places like St. Michael's High School and Santa Fe High School. He's a UNM alumnus, a versatile performer, and deeply involved in the local music scene, often playing with groups like the Boris and The Salt Licks and Felix y Los Gatos.Sergio Webb is a highly respected, Texas-born, Nashville-rooted guitarist and songwriter who became a fixture in the Americana/Folk scene, known for playing with artists like David Olney, Gail Davies, and Pinto Bennett, and he later relocated to New Mexico, often associated with Santa Fe, bringing his unique, intricate guitar style and deep musicality to the region's vibrant scene.

Marc and Paula Malin have been active members of the Santa Fe NM Music scene for decades. They have played most venues in town from The Lensic Theater and Santa Fe Bandstand to the local Hotels and Clubs. They write award winning songs in an eclectic style that has been described as Folkabilly Blues, a new form of Americana music that is a juicy gumbo of blues, country, folk rock, and jazz. They currently have released 7 albums between them and are working on an 8th album. Paula Malin was honored by NM Music Awards for Best Vocal Performance of the Year and Marc Malin has been honored by Best Blues album of the year in Hollywood, California. They have both been nominated for multiple NM Music Awards over the years. Marc and Paula Roadside Distraction will perform as a full band for this show with a special guest to be announced! Following their successful Kurt Weill cabaret, Christina Martos and Kristin Ditlow return to Unit B to explore their favorite hits and "hidden gems" from Stephen Sondheim's expansive catalog. From witty character pieces to profound ballads, the duo willl present an intimate journey through the songbook of Broadway’s greatest lyricist.Christina Martos was born an Army brat, calls New Jersey her home state, and has been a resident of New Mexico since 2008. She is a multidisciplinary performer with crossover backgrounds in classical vocal performance, musical theater, drama, dance, and jazz vocals. She has performed at the Washington National Opera, Central City Opera (Colorado), Opera Southwest at the National Hispanic Cultural Center (Albuquerque), and City Theater (Pittsburgh), and The Santa Fe Playhouse. Additional performances throughout the Southwest include appearances with Montage Music Society (Santa Fe), Chamber Orchestra of the Springs (Colorado Springs), Chatter (Albuquerque), and the Abiquiu Chamber Music Festival. She has music degrees from Carnegie Mellon University and the Yale School of Music and was a resident young artist with the Washington National Opera.Pianist, conductor, and coach Kristin Ditlow is enjoying a performance and teaching career throughout the United States and abroad. She has appeared in concert throughout North America, mainland China, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Hungary, Austria, and the Czech Republic. Ditlow holds degrees from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, Westminster Choir College, and a Doctorate of Musical Arts from the Eastman School of Music, with further training at the Tanglewood Music Center, San Francisco Opera Center (Merola), and the Franz Schubert Institut. An Evening of Sondheim

It was a rare moment of serendipity! At Unit B’s first-year anniversary event, Writer, Director/singer/songwriter Eb Lottimer and his producer/singer/songwriter wife Anna were seated next to Santa Fe musician/drummer Arne Bey and his wife Kim.It wasn’t long before the conversation turned to our mutual love of music. Next thing you know, Eb, Anna and her pianist brother Darrah got together with Arne’s favorite Santa Fe rhythm section, bassist Wally Auserer and guitarist Russ Scanlon. From the first moment there was magic in the air. The Canyon Road Band was born. Eb and Anna’s, mellifluous , inspired Americana music celebrates the emotional depths and light-hearted joys of a late life love affair while traveling some of the same musical lanes as Leonard Cohen, Stephen Stills and David Crosby.Opening Set: Cali Shaw builds bridges through music. Myrrhine earned a music degree from McGill University in Montreal and participated in various musical projects during her time there, including a performance at the Montreal Jazz Festival with Juno Award-winning saxophonist Joel Miller. After university, Myrrhine moved to Toronto and found a true love in performing soul and blues music, which showcases her sweet but powerful timbre, extensive range, and emotional delivery.&nbsp;While in Toronto, Myrrhine fronted two original bands, Urban Preacher, and The Distillery, recording albums with Grammy Award-winning engineer George Massenburg.&nbsp; With these bands,&nbsp;she completed several cross-country and international tours, and won a Toronto Independent Music Award for Best Blues Album. You can frequently find Myrrhine playing the local scene, fronting the funk-soul band, Big Suitcase.Artha Meadors (Bass/Synth) Artha Meadors is an electric bassist from Albuquerque, New Mexico whose eclectic tastes and skillset genre-hops from R&amp;B, soul, blues &amp; jazz, to metal, hardcore punk and progressive rock.&nbsp;He is a notable sideman and session musician for artists such as Eric McFadden, The JDS, Robert Mirabal and The Rare Tribal Mob, Isaac Aragon and the Healing, among others, and toured across Europe in 2019 with guitarist and singer, Ryan McGarvey. Alibi Weekly awarded him their Best Bassist award in 2017 and 2018. Meadors teaches music, and has worked with the New Mexico Jazz Workshop since 2017. He is also active in music production, sequencing, and programming. His project, Citizens of Tape City, won the 2018 New Mexico Music Award for “Best Pop Album.”&nbsp;Meador’s most recent project, I Want To Be An Architect, is his first solo single, which was nominated for the 2022 New Mexico Music Award’s category of “Best Instrumental Performance.”&nbsp; These projects allow Artha to demonstrate his penchant for composing and arrangement.Mark Clark (Drums/Percussion) Mark Clark is a versatile percussionist with several decades of experiences in performing, touring, recording and teaching music.&nbsp;His resume is as diverse as his varied abilities and comfort of execution of domestic and global styles of percussion performance practices.&nbsp;Since the mid-1980s he has maintained a touring presence nationally and globally with The United States Air Force Band of the Golden West, Ottmar Liebert, John Popper &amp; The Duskray Troubadours, Jono Manson, Latin rock group Manzanares, and the Jimmy Stadler Band. As a long-time member of New Mexico’s recording studio elite, Ron is also the owner of InCrowd Productions in Albuquerque, winning numerous awards as a songwriter, producer, recording engineer and composer, including Tellys, Silver Microphones, Addys, American Marketing Association, and is a perennial winner at the New Mexico Music Awards, recently winning Song of the Year, Producer of the Year and Best Recording Engineer. Today, in addition to his work in the recording studio, he performs regularly with his band, the Ron Crowder Band, which features an all-star lineup of some of New Mexico’s finest musicians.&nbsp;John Bartlit&nbsp;John Bartlit&nbsp;is an accomplished professional multi-instrumentalist, composer, teacher, producer and accompanist with decades of experience in the arts. Chris IsheeChris Ishee has been a fixture on the New Mexico music scene for decades. He spent many years touring with Maynard Ferguson and Engelbert Humperdinck, among many other artists. In addition, he taught at Santa Fe Prep for 24 years. He has toured throughout the U.S., Australia, and Cuba with Yoboso, &amp; Ritmo Caliente. His home is the Isleta Indian Reservation. Former music school classmates and longtime friends, Milo has played with Crowder live and in the recording studio for many years.Alex MurzynAlex Murzyn’s versatility and musicianship has made him the most in demand saxophonist in New Mexico. Relocating from the San Francisco area, where he played with numerous bands, including Huey Lewis and the News, Ray Obiedo, Pete Escovedo and the Stand Kenton Legacy Orchestra. With a career spanning three decades, he has three CDs under his name and is working to complete the fourth,&nbsp; soon to be released. He brings his unique background of R &amp; B and modern jazz to the table whenever he plays. He is equally accomplished on flute and clarinet. Teri Lynn BrowningTeri Lynn is a professional singer/songwriter living in Santa Fe for over 30 years. She received a vocal performance scholarship and studied Baroque and Medieval Music at Oklahoma State in college. Eventually moving to Santa Fe in 1992 she performed jazz standards with a jazz trio then was a regular cast member at La Casa Sena Cantina performing classic showtunes and cabaret. In 1996 she created and produced the very popular “Teri’s Lounge” which featured a house band with local talent. Her band played the Santa Fe circuit including A Bar, Catamount and various other clubs. In 1998 she released a club track “Feel your power” which was featured on the Rolling Stone dance chart for several months. Teri Lynn moved to NYC where she received a record deal with house music legend Todd Terry and recorded two dance singles. In the past she had a featured solo showcase on the Plaza Bandstand and has had regular weekly residencies at La Posada Bar, El Monte Sagrado (Taos), Vanessie and La Fonda in Santa Fe and sold out showcases in Amsterdam, Paris and London. Teri Lynn released her CD “Heart” produced by Andrew Primm in 2012 which was nominated for a New Mexico Music Award. She was chosen to showcase her songs at NYC ‘s well known club “The Cutting Room.” Teri Lynn has recorded on local artists CD’s including Gary Farmer, Joe West and Chris Dracup among others. The Vespus Marimba Band is a uniquely engaging ensemble of virtuoso musicians who perform traditional Meso-American, Afro-Latin and American novelty marimba music. They have been playing together for over 30 years, mesmerizing and enticing nationwide audiences to groove and move with their unique brand of “Music of the Southwest”. The percussion-centric group features the diverse talents of percussionists John Bartlit, Alexis Corbin, Hovey Corbin and Douglas Nottingham, bassist Craig McClelland, and guitarist Daniel Ward. They will be performing a program honoring the musical legacies of New Mexican musician/composers Pedro Hernandez-Barcaldo and Steve Chavez.Hovey Corbin has taught band at Albuquerque Academy since 1995. Hovey played alongside Steve “Marimba” Chavez in the New Mexican Marimba Band for well over 25 years. He is a leading expert on the sackbut - a renaissance era trombone - and sings in Música Antigua de Albuquerque. Hovey is the timpanist for the 21-st century heavy metal vaudeville troupe Skümbaag, and enjoys playing calypso music with his wife Alexis in the Sol Calypso Steel Drum Band. In free moments he restores vintage drums, builds 16th-century sackbuts and custom conducting batons with his father, a retired Sandia Labs rocket scientist.Douglas Nottingham is a percussionist, performance artist, composer, music educator, recording artist and producer. As a solo percussionist and member of Phoenix’s Crossing 32nd Street and the New Mexico-based LINKS Ensemble he has specialized in the performance of contemporary chamber works. He has appeared as featured artist at the World Dance Alliance, Percussive Arts Society, the American Dance Guild, the Society of Composers, the Society for Electroacoustic Music in the United States, the International Computer Music Conference, the New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival, Moxsonic, Pd MaxCon and the Society of American Music. His recordings, as both performer and producer, appear on the Neuma, Nonsequitor, Stradivarius and Wergo labels, among others. Dr. Nottingham is also a faculty member at Glendale Community College in Phoenix since 1996, where he teaches music theory, electroacoustic music, digital recording, percussion, and directs the Music Industry Studies program and the award-winning Glendale Community College Percussion Ensemble.&nbsp;Alexis Corbin performs regularly with Opera Southwest and the Santa Fe Symphony. She has performed with the New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players, Bill Evans Dance Company, Kawambe-Omowale African Drum and Dance Theater, and oud virtuoso Rahim AlHaj. As a steel pan performer, she has shared the stage with pan luminaries Liam Teague and Len “Boogsie” Sharpe. An advocate for childhood music education, Alexis was the founding Program Director of the first El Sistema program in New Mexico, and she has served on the Governing Council of the Public Academy for the Performing Arts as well as the Santa Fe Opera Youth Advisory Board. Alexis is also well known as the Executive Director and on-air voice at Classical 95.5, KHFM.Craig McClelland is a multi‑instrumentalist, instructor, and theatre collaborator with more than 30 years of professional experience, performing everywhere from improv stages to symphony orchestras on bass, guitar, ukulele, and tuba. His theatre work includes acting and instrumental contributions to companies such as Peninsula Players Theatre and Northern Sky Theater. Trained at Musicians Institute and holding degrees from the University of New Mexico and CSU–Dominguez Hills, he has taught and performed at events including the West Coast Ukulele Retreat, the Santa Fe New Uke Culinary Fiesta, and the Milwaukee Ukulele Festival. Active in arts communities, he founded the Door County Ukulele Society, previously led the Santa Fe Ukulele and Social Club, and continues to perform nationwide with ensembles including Sukey Jump Band, the Links Ensemble, Buckets of Rain, and the heavy‑metal vaudeville troupe Skumbaag.John Bartlit is an accomplished professional multi-instrumentalist, composer, teacher, producer and accompanist with decades of experience in the arts. He holds a performance degree in percussion (BA) from UNM. John has performed and recorded locally, nationally and internationally in a wide variety of styles. His musical adventures include The Bert Dalton Trio, NM Symphony, SF Desert Chorale, Rita Moreno, Hubie Law, John Lewis (MJQ), Chris Calloway, John Rangel, NM Marimba Band, Del Sol String Quartet, John Cage, Lou Harrison, Michael Sterns, Bill Evans Dance and Robbie Robertson. John’s skills in trap-set are legendary, and he has pioneered a whole new approach to Flamenco cajon as well as mastering many hand percussion instruments.Daniel Ward’s polymath approach is born from his passion and appetite for the diversity of music. Born in Los Alamos, NM to a nuclear chemist/conductor, he holds degrees in classical guitar and composition from the University of New Mexico. Touring with dance companies provided him a “road scholarship” with great guitarists who taught him his 100 mile-and-hour technique. As Ottmar Liebert’s right-hand rumbero on successive world tours, he held down the groove, and learned the patience and humility it takes to survive as a professional. Animating&nbsp;the&nbsp;blues idiom is the omnipresent rhythm&nbsp;known as&nbsp;the clave in its many variations&nbsp;and tonight’s&nbsp;performance will showcase those fascinating&nbsp; rhythms.The Andy Kingston quartet consists of&nbsp;pianist Andy Kingston, drummer Loren Bienvenu, bassist Michael Burt, and percussionist Nicolas Lebron.Andy Kingston was born in Chicago and came up in Boston and Northern Virginia. Andy appeared with Enrico Crivellaro, Ronnie Earl, Bruce Gertz, Nikki Glaspie, Sam Kininger, Nicole Nelson, Toni Lynn Washington and many others in the Boston area. Andy moved to Santa Fe in 2005 to teach at St. John’s College and has performed in groups led by Peter Amaral, Lorenzo Antonio, Tiho Dimitrov, Myrrhine Faller, Brian Hardgroove, Nacha Mendez, and Jimmy Russell.Loren Bienvenu grew up in Santa Fe, first studying jazz drumming with John Trentacosta and later with Peter Erskine in Los Angeles. Since returning to town in 2010, he counts his musical highlights as playing in Tootie Heath’s Whole Drum Truth (from 2015 to Heath’s passing in 2024), being in the band John Francis and the Poor Clares, and performing numerous gigs with the area’s finest jazz musicians.Michael Burt grew up and attended conservatory in Virginia, moving to New Mexico in 2018 after decades touring the world with accomplished musicians and musical theater groups. Michael has worked with numerous projects since arriving in New Mexico, including the Sol y Soul Band and the Andy Kingston Quartet. Michael also performs solo piano and sings and is a celebrated music educator in Santa Fe.Nicolas Lebron, from Bayamón, Puerto Rico, grew up learning from masters like Giovanni Hidalgo, who is family, and Anthony Carroll, among others. Nicolas is the founder of Grupo Carabalí, a folkloric group in Puerto Rico dedicated to Cuban Rumba, Bomba, and Plena, which are native rhythms of the island. He has worked with Los Majaderos de Cachete Maldonado, who was one of his mentors. He moved to Santa Fe three years ago, and in New Mexico has worked with saxophonist Doug Lawrence, Cuban pianist Marcos Crego, Calle 66 and Cafe Mocha with Ivon Ulibarri, and the group Nosotros. Arnaldo Acosta, Asher Barreras and John Maestas began playing together at a weekly jam session 20 years ago at Ben Michael's Restaurant in Albuquerque. Los Compadres have been&nbsp;forging a deep musical bond for 20+ years since then, exploring jazz, Latin jazz, New Orleans funk, and moving seamlessly all over the stylistic map. New Mexico newcomer John Funkhouser joined these stellar musicians more recently at Ben Michael's weekly sessions, adding a bit of Northeast flavor to the mix, and rounding out a dynamic and supple quartet.John Maestas: Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico and based in New Orleans,&nbsp;Juan&nbsp;Tigre is the alter-ego of musician/producer&nbsp;John Maestas. After living in New York City and Cundy’s Harbor, Maine, he returned home to ABQ where he hosted the Ben Michael’s jam every Tuesday night and played bass with all the greats in and around his hometown, until last fall when he moved with his wife to Virginia. Albuquerque has missed you.Arnaldo Acosta: Arnaldo was born to the rhythms of the Dominican Republic but one of his earliest inspirations came through the television from America. He saw the famous tap dancer Gregory Hines in a movie and excitedly told his family tap dancing was what he intended to do with his life. His sister flat out told him that wasn't a good career choice and his young dream was crushed. But that didn't deter him – he would soon find his beat. His older brother was already an established drummer in Santo Domingo and by the age of ten Arnaldo was subbing for him in the clubs. “He would give me the ‘bad’ gigs he didn’t want to do,” says Arnaldo. “I saw a lot of fights, and my hands would bleed from metal parts of the drum sticking out. But I learned you can make anything sound good and to do the best you can. Always.” At 17 he took a 2-year gig on a cruise ship and was able to afford a quality drum set and set of congas by the end. “I used that money wisely and was working all the time in Santo Domingo and Santiago after that playing rock, Latin, jazz, wedding bands — all of it.” Arnaldo never thought of moving to the States but would take vacations to NYC. In 1995 during one of those trips he ended up touring with Al DiMeola to Japan (and would do so again in 2005). That same year he landed in New Mexico for the first time where he has now lived and performed for the last 30 years. New Mexico was similar to his home country in that it received Arnaldo’s talent with open arms and plenty of gigs. “I just keep it moving forward, keep practicing. I’m fascinated with music, and the drum set, I always look forward to playing, feel curious and feel a fire inside myself.”

Throughout his career, Malone has played with many outstanding musicians, including Pete Christlieb of Steely Dan and Doc Severenson, Bobby Doyle of Blood, Sweat &amp; Tears, Bill Ginn (Famous Blue Raincoat Leonard Cohen, Jennifer Warren), Eric Johnson, Lonnie Mack, Kim Stone (Spyra Gyra), Mitch Watkins, Spencer Starnes, Peter Rowan, John Mills, Junior Brown, Mike Turk, Jimmy Carl Black of Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention, and Kirk Waylum. A disciplined student of music since the age of 9, Pat Malone has studied under an impressive list of great teachers. He completed master classes with Jack Cecchini in Chicago, through whom he conducted workshops with many guitarists including Joe Pass and Joe Diorio. Pat Malone resides in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Santa Fe brothers Robby and Char Rothschild bring traditions together in their songwriting to create original world folk music, including instruments like the West African kora, Irish bouzouki, trumpet, accordion, and Thracian gaida. Drawing inspiration from Appalachia, Ireland, the Balkans, and beyond, their music is nonetheless deeply connected to New Mexico. Joined by long time bassist and collaborator Jon Gagan, their sound is at times rhythmic and propulsive, at times introspective, and always soulful. Char and Robby’s musical journey together began with the band Lizard House, a Santa Fe pop phenomenon of the 1990’s. Subsequent projects as backing musicians included the Afro funk band Panjea, Irish trio The Selkies, and the Reverend Carol King Kong. In 2002, the brothers began as a duo playing their own music - busking in the old Santa Fe farmers’ market in the early mornings of summer. By 2004 they had released their first record, enlisted Jon Gagan as their bassist, and begun to tour. At their gigging peak, they played 150 gigs a year, regionally and on both coasts. After a hiatus of 5 years, they returned in 2023, following the need to heal themselves with music, which has not abated to this day.

The Pilots, New Mexico Music Award winners, specialize in soulful renditions of danceable R &amp; B tunes including originals and vintage favorites. The Pilots, based in Santa Fe, are one of the longest-running bands in New Mexico. The group has appeared at all the major blues festivals in the region as well as appearing locally at Music on the Hill, Santa Fe Bandstand, and the Aid and Comfort Gala. The Pilots recently had the pleasure of opening for Grammy-nominated Shamekia Copeland at Blues Night as part of the New Mexico Jazz Festival on the Albuquerque Civic Plaza. The band can be seen every year at the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. The Five Players: Fred Spencer – Guitar and VocalsFred’s dynamic and creative guitar playing has excited audiences for years and is only surpassed by his powerfully soulful and bluesy vocals. In New Mexico, Fred has played with the Emergency Blues Band, The Kingpins, Big Step, The Range Busters and the Soul Deacons. David Phillips – Keyboards and VocalsDavid’s rich vocals, Rhythm &amp; Blues piano and organ style grounds the band to its blues roots. He was a founding member of the touring Foggy Bottom Blues Band in the ‘60’s. In New Mexico, David has played with the Bumpers, The Arroyo Kings, The Soul Deacons, and Freddy Fender. Terry Bluhm – Standup and Electric bass, VocalsTerry’s strong tone-filled bass playing gives the band and the listener a key to the groove, funk, and swing of the Pilots. Terry has been a long-time player in the New Mexico music scene with many bands, including Thunderama, Jasper, Bayo Seco, and Felix y Los Gatos. Melvin Crisp – Drums and VocalsMelvin radiates joy while his solid and funky drumming powers the Pilots. A mainstay in the Chicago blues scene, Melvin has performed with Junior Wells, Koko Taylor, Bo Diddley, Pinetop Perkins, Otis Rush, Big Twist, and many others.Lee Taylor – SaxophonesLee is one of the most sought-after horn players in New Mexico. Lee has performed with many of the top names in the music business, including The Temptations, The Four Tops, Johnny Mathis, The Fifth Dimension, and Bernadette Peters. Lee’s jazz credits include Toshika Akioyoshi, Eddie Daniels, John Lewis, the Albuquerque Jazz Orchestra, and New Mexico Music Award winning Entourage.

Bursting with rhythmic energy, John and Daniel play original and traditional Flamenco and Latin style fusion. Cajon, hand percussion and acoustic Flamenco guitar drive rhythms such as allegrias, tangos and Bulerias, as well as jazz and pop surprises with Latin and fusion jazz flair. Smooth Bossa, ripping Flamenco, and dreamy ballads are all part of the evening’s journey. Their locked-in groove reflects a partnership spanning 40 years. John Bartlit is an accomplished professional multi-instrumentalist, composer, teacher, producer and accompanist with decades of experience in the arts. He holds a performance degree in percussion (BA) from UNM. John has performed and recorded locally, nationally and internationally in a wide variety of styles. His musical adventures include The Bert Dalton Trio, NM Symphony, SF Desert Chorale, Rita Moreno, Hubie Law, John Lewis (MJQ), Chris Calloway, John Rangel, NM Marimba Band, Del Sol String Quartet, John Cage, Lou Harrison, Michael Sterns, Bill Evans Dance and Robbie Robertson.John’s skills in trap-set are legendary, and he has pioneered a whole new approach to Flamenco cajon as well as mastering many hand percussion instruments. Daniel Ward’s polymath approach is born from his passion and appetite for the diversity of music. Born in Los Alamos, NM to a nuclear chemist/conductor, he holds degrees in classical guitar and composition from the University of New Mexico. Touring with dance companies provided him a “road scholarship” with great guitarists who taught him his 100 mile-and-hour technique. As Ottmar Liebert’s right-hand rumbero on successive world tours, he held down the groove, and learned the patience and humility it takes to survive as a professional. Currently, Daniel is finding fulfillment passing his skills to the next generation, teaching at New Mexico High School for the Arts in Santa Fe and as interim Head of Guitar Studies at UNM.

With a voice reminiscent of the classic soul divas, and songs which explore love, loss, and personal growth, Adele has proven herself to be an iconic voice of her generation. To pay tribute to her talents, both as a singer and songwriter, powerhouse vocalist Myrrhine Faller (Big Suitcase) has teamed up with a band of some of New Mexico's most accomplished musicians (Mark Clark, Andy Kingston, Tiho Dimitrov, Artha Meadors, Natanya Manson, &amp; Kelly Khun), for a performance of Adele's celebrated hits, including songs from all of her albums -- 19, 21, 25, and 30.&nbsp;Myrrhine Faller (lead vocals)Myrrhine is from NYC, and while that will always be home, she has spent the last 8 years in the artistic haven that is Santa Fe. With early roots in musical theater and&nbsp;her local church's gospel choir, Myrrhine has a versatile vocal style. Myrrhine earned a music degree from McGill University in Montreal and participated in various musical projects during her time there, including a performance at the Montreal Jazz Festival with Juno Award-winning saxophonist Joel Miller. After university, Myrrhine moved to Toronto and found a true love in performing soul and blues music, which showcases her sweet but powerful timbre, extensive range, and emotional delivery.&nbsp;While in Toronto, Myrrhine fronted two original bands, Urban Preacher, and The Distillery, recording albums with Grammy Award-winning engineer George Massenburg.&nbsp; With these bands,&nbsp;she completed several cross-country and international tours, and won a Toronto Independent Music Award for Best Blues Album. Since moving to Santa Fe, Myrrhine has spent much time recording in the studio (her happy place) with fellow New York transplant, Jono Manson, doing backing vocals for his&nbsp;albums, as well as albums by John Popper, The Gang, and many other artists. You can frequently find Myrrhine playing the local scene, fronting the funk-soul band, Big Suitcase.Artha Meadors (Bass/Synth)Artha Meadors is an electric bassist from Albuquerque, New Mexico whose eclectic tastes and skillset genre-hops from R&amp;B, soul, blues &amp; jazz, to metal, hardcore punk and progressive rock.&nbsp;He is a notable sideman and session musician for artists such as Eric McFadden, The JDS, Robert Mirabal and The Rare Tribal Mob, Isaac Aragon and the Healing, among others, and toured across Europe in 2019 with guitarist and singer, Ryan McGarvey. Alibi Weekly awarded him their Best Bassist award in 2017 and 2018. Meadors teaches music, and has worked with the New Mexico Jazz Workshop since 2017. He is also active in music production, sequencing, and programming. His project, Citizens of Tape City, won the 2018 New Mexico Music Award for “Best Pop Album.”&nbsp;Meador’s most recent project, I Want To Be An Architect, is his first solo single, which was nominated for the 2022 New Mexico Music Award’s category of “Best Instrumental Performance.”&nbsp; These projects allow Artha to demonstrate his penchant for composing and arrangement.Mark Clark (Drums/Percussion)Mark Clark is a versatile percussionist with several decades of experiences in performing, touring, recording and teaching music.&nbsp;His resume is as diverse as his varied abilities and comfort of execution of domestic and global styles of percussion performance practices.&nbsp;Since the mid-1980s he has maintained a touring presence nationally and globally with The United States Air Force Band of the Golden West, Ottmar Liebert, John Popper &amp; The Duskray Troubadours, Jono Manson, Latin rock group Manzanares, and the Jimmy Stadler Band. He has played on more than 80 recordings with artists such as Dan Fogelberg, James Taylor and Ben Taylor, Ottmar Liebert, John Popper, Jono Manson, Cat Stevens, Crystal Bowersox, Kip Winger, and the debut of John Popper &amp; the Duskray Troubadours. Most recently, he recorded with John Popper &amp; Jono Manson on "Bootlegger Days," and with K.T. Tunstall on songs for the new musical "Clueless." Prior to his current positions at New Mexico School of Music and the University of New Mexico, he was on the faculty at United World College in Montezuma, NM, Santa Fe School of Art &amp; Design, Santa Fe School for the Arts and Sciences, and The College of Santa Fe.Tiho Dimitrov (guitar)Tiho Dimitrov has been playing music in New Mexico since the late 90's, when he immigrated to the U.S.. In addition to his work as a hired guitar player, Tiho is also an accomplished songwriter and solo artist, and has won numerous New Mexico Music Awards for his original music. He was also voted Best Blues Guitar Player at Ernie Ball's King of The Blues competition in New Mexico in 2014. Tiho has made appearances as a guest in bluesman Guitar Shorty’s band, and also played in Soulman Sam’s band for some time, including a two-night event with legendary saxophonist Bobby Keys. Other notable collaborations include touring and co-writing with Grammy-winning Native American singer Star Nayea, and guest appearances with a long list of notable musicians, including guitar virtuoso Larry Mitchell, John Kurzweg, Felecia Ford, Brian Hardgroove of Public Enemy, Jono Manson, and keyboard player Brant Leeper, who is also a close friend and co-producer of some of the songs on Dimitrov’s album.Andy Kingston (piano/keyboards)<a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://andykingston.com/">Andy Kingston</a> is a tutor at St. John’s College in Santa Fe, NM and plays piano for a number of Jazz, Latin and R&amp;B groups. His most current project is the Andy Kingston Trio. Prior to teaching at St. John’s, Andy performed extensively in the Boston area while studying and teaching philosophy, literature, and music at Boston University.Natanya Manson (background vocals)Natanya Manson is a young artist who attends NMSA as a sophomore in high school where she was accepted into the music department for both voice and piano. She began taking piano lessons at the age of five and has studied flamenco for nearly ten years. She was the youngest recipient ever to win a New Mexico Music Award for her song, “Me,” which she wrote when she was 9 years old and has since continued to write and record original music which can be found on all streaming platforms.&nbsp;Natanya has also been featured on records and performed live with local, national and international musicians.&nbsp;&nbsp;Kelly Khun (background vocals)Described by&nbsp;The Austin Chronicle&nbsp;as "the icing on the red velvet cake, with a sound that pulls from the origins of hip hop, the alleyways of the Crescent City, the grease and grime of an old-school soul review,"&nbsp;Kelly Khun&nbsp;brings a genre-defying voice steeped in soul, grit, and storytelling. A sought-after collaborator and session vocalist, Kelly has worked with a wide range of iconic artists and industry leaders, including David Foster, Rex Brown, Cyril Neville, Galactic, and Howard Levy. Kelly’s versatility as a contract and session vocalist has taken her into acclaimed studios, including&nbsp;Jim Henson Studios, Warner Chappell,&nbsp;Big Fish Studios, Big Orange Studios, and M. Nosotros has been drawing music lovers to their distinctive Latin groove for over 30 years. The group seamlessly combines a myriad of Latin rhythms with elements of rock, salsa, jazz and cumbia creating an innovative and imaginative Latin sound that is, unique, undefinable and unmistakably Nosotros.Nosotros has been invited to perform on bills with some of the biggest acts in music and has appeared at the legendary San Jose Jazz and Telluride Jazz Festivals. NPR's venerable Alt-Latino program has twice featured the band. Along with a plethora New Mexico Music Awards, they were awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award from the organization in 2022, the first time ever given to a group. They have also twice been named winners in the prestigious John Lennon Songwriting Contest.2024 saw the release of two Nosotros songs and videos, the topical, timely, funky and fun, “Mentiras”, featuring Las Cafeteras' Daniel French and “#esperanza”, a salsa influenced and inspirational song about hanging on to hope even it the darkest of times. Unit B is proud to bring Seanchai back to the Unit B stage. They rocked their last four shows, thrilling the audience with original and traditional Celtic tunes. Hailing from the US and Ireland, Seanchai (shawn-a-key) combines an eclectic mix of celtic and folk music. With a line up of guitar, viola and bodhran (bow-ron), Seanchai illustrates a landscape of lively melodies and sentimental airs, transporting the listener to the green hills of Ireland and beyond. These are incredible musicians with many improvisational elements.

Starting out over a decade ago in Santa Fe as a jazz cover band dedicated to the musical legacy of Ornette Coleman, the members of OrnEtc turned to playing their own compositions. Alaskan-born and raised on the water, Nathan Dunton is a lifelong commercial fisherman and an award-winning music producer, arranger, and songwriter. A genre-bending multi-instrumentalist, his original music fuses pop, folk, jazz, and R&amp;B. His work, rooted in themes of Alaskan maritime life, parenthood, travel, and mortality, offers both emotional depth and musical sophistication. Most recently his song The Long Goodbye won Song of the Year at the 2025 New Mexico Music Awards.He’ll be joined by an all-star trio of virtuosos: James Raymond on keys, Jon Gagan on bass, and John Bartlit on drums. Together, they’ll bring Nathan’s compositions to life with rich arrangements and dynamic interplay.James Raymond As an adopted child, James’ Raymond’s parents were keen to pick up on his musical gift early on. He began studying piano at the age of six and by his early teens, he was performing with R&amp;B, rock, and jazz bands. In 1995, James learned what to attribute some of his talent to when he learned that his birth father was two-time rock and roll hall of famer, David Crosby.&nbsp;The two went on to form a 30-year collaboration, first with the group CPR, then years of touring with Crosby, Stills &amp; Nash, writing and recording for Crosby-Nash. James then went on to co-write and produce Crosby’s last three critically acclaimed solo albums. The most recent release, For Free, features co-writing with two of James’ lifelong musical heroes — Michael McDonald and Donald Fagan. After the passing of Crosby in January of 2023, James was inspired to begin a solo record as a tribute to David's love of the pairing of piano and acoustic guitar. It has since become a sweeping instrumental project featuring some of James and David’s favorite musicians. James decamped from Los Angeles to Santa Fe, New Mexico, in 2023 and has immensely enjoyed joining the music scene there, collaborating with local musicians Jono Manson, Jon Gagan, Robby Rothschild, KT Tunstall and others, as well as working with National Dance Institute-NM.Jon GaganJon Gagan is best known for his 30 + year association with renowned guitarist Ottmar LIebert, playing bass on over 25 Liebert albums, including RIAA-certified gold and platinum and Grammy-nominated titles. Jon has written numerous string and horn arrangements and scored a full-length string orchestra concert for Liebert. The show was performed by Liebert's trio along with The NM Philharmonic to a sold-out crowd at Popejoy Hall in March of 2023.&nbsp;As a freelance sideman, Gagan has performed with Milt Jackson, Eddie Harris, Dave Grusin, Christopher Cross, Big Al Anderson, Nat Adderley,, Emily Remler and Warren Vaché, among many others.A prolific composer, Jon has also released a series of solo albums on LIebert's SSRI label, Transit 1-3. Among other side projects are "What The What" (2015)&nbsp; "Electric" (2018), and Still Life (2024). Recent recording work includes bass tracks featured on “Santa Fe Style” by Spanish virtuoso guitarist/singer Juan Jose Alba and “Alone” by the sister duo Carly and Martina. He has spent many years as a classical percussionist, composer, teacher, producer and accompanist with professional dance companies. Gareth Pearson is referred to as “The Welsh Tornado” which is particularly appropriate, seeing as this special talent combines fingerstyle pyrotechnics, with explosive lead runs making Pearson one of the most exciting acoustic musicians gigging today.Gareth has a&nbsp;distinctive style that can be heard through his creative and innovative arrangements which cover a wide spectrum of genres, including country/folk/classical/pop/rock/jazz/swing and bluegrass music, along with his own beautiful and often intricate original compositions.&nbsp;Drawing his playing style initially from influences such as Chet Atkins, Merle Travis, Jerry Reed and Tommy Emmanuel, he has developed a style that is both inspiring and entertaining.&nbsp;Within a year of taking up the guitar, Gareth was opening for Tommy Emmanuel on his 2005 UK tour. It was in Cardiff where Tommy invited Gareth to play at the CAAS convention (Chet Atkins Appreciation Society) in Nashville Tennessee.&nbsp;Later that year, Gareth was performing and touring alongside Ray Davies (The Kinks), John Renbourne, and Southside Johnny and the Ashbury Jukes. During the Southside Johnny tour, Gareth was invited by Southside to be flown over to the USA to open for his annual New Years Eve concert at the Count Basie Theatre in New Jersey.&nbsp;The following year Gareth was invited by Tommy Emmanuel to be the support act for his UK tour, following extensive UK support to Jan Akkerman, Andy McKee and appearing at numerous Folk Festivals and Guitar workshops including the Montreal Jazz Festival.With appearances throughout Europe and a growing reputation, Gareth was invited to perform at the 2008 Canadian Guitar Festival where he came to the attention of Candyrat Records. This laid the seed for Gareth to be the first UK guitarist to be signed by the label. On its release, Gareth’s debut album “Urban Echoes Vol 1” was selected by Acoustic Guitar editors and frequent contributors as one of the “Essential Acoustic Albums of 2010”.With Appearances at the 2009 Montreal Guitar Festival, USA and Worldwide tours and Guitar workshops, Gareth’s reputation as a performer and teacher is constantly growing.

Unit B presents The James Raymond Trio with Jon Gagan and John Bartlit performing&nbsp;music by Miles Davis, Wayne Shorter and others, reinterpreting songs by the Beatles, Neil Young, Oasis plus original tunes.James Raymond As an adopted child, James’ Raymond’s parents were keen to pick up on his musical gift early on. He began studying piano at the age of six and by his early teens, he was performing with R&amp;B, rock, and jazz bands. In 1995, James learned what to attribute some of his talent to when he learned that his birth father was two-time rock and roll hall of famer, David Crosby.&nbsp;The two went on to form a 30-year collaboration, first with the group CPR, then years of touring with Crosby, Stills &amp; Nash, writing and recording for Crosby-Nash. James then went on to co-write and produce Crosby’s last three critically acclaimed solo albums. The most recent release, For Free, features co-writing with two of James’ lifelong musical heroes — Michael McDonald and Donald Fagan.After the passing of Crosby in January of 2023, James was inspired to begin a solo record as a tribute to David's love of the pairing of piano and acoustic guitar. It has since become a sweeping instrumental project featuring some of James and David’s favorite musicians.James decamped from Los Angeles to Santa Fe, New Mexico, in 2023 and has immensely enjoyed joining the music scene there, collaborating with local musicians Jono Manson, Jon Gagan, Robby Rothschild, KT Tunstall and others, as well as working with National Dance Institute-NM.Jon GaganJon Gagan is best known for his 30 + year association with renowned guitarist Ottmar LIebert, playing bass on over 25 Liebert albums, including RIAA-certified gold and platinum and Grammy-nominated titles. Jon has written numerous string and horn arrangements and scored a full-length string orchestra concert for Liebert. The show was performed by Liebert's trio along with The NM Philharmonic to a sold-out crowd at Popejoy Hall in March of 2023.&nbsp;As a freelance sideman, Gagan has performed with Milt Jackson, Eddie Harris, Dave Grusin, Christopher Cross, Big Al Anderson, Nat Adderley,, Emily Remler and Warren Vaché, among many others.A prolific composer, Jon has also released a series of solo albums on LIebert's SSRI label, Transit 1-3. Among other side projects are "What The What" (2015)&nbsp; "Electric" (2018), and Still Life (2024). Recent recording work includes bass tracks featured on “Santa Fe Style” by Spanish virtuoso guitarist/singer Juan Jose Alba and “Alone” by the sister duo Carly and Martina.John BartlitJohn Bartlit, drums, is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist. He has spent many years as a classical percussionist, composer, teacher, producer and accompanist with professional dance companies. A compelling and original voice in the Americana arena, Kenny Crowley can ease you back against warm guitar melodies and a pure, buttery vocal delivery. Regaling listeners with meaningful original lyrics spun from life experience, Kenny's style comes steeped in a rich and eclectic blend of American roots music that is sure to get you in the feels. Whether performing solo with his acoustic guitar or rocking out while leading his full band, Crowley’s heartfelt music will leave an impact. Hailing from Virginia and Ohio respectively, Kenny’s musical journey began as a kid in the stale beer soaked basements of Cincinnati, watching his dad play bass in rock bands. Later picking up the bass himself and forming his own teenage garage punk bands, he eventually learned to play the guitar and began to write songs. Diving into the rich history of American blues, folk, and country, he also re-discovered the full catalogs of his songwriting heroes Paul Simon and Bob Dylan, his favorite of many artists to whom he was introduced as a child by his mother - a brilliant poet and writer. Inspired by the full scope of what can be expressed and accomplished through the language of music, the fire was lit for a lifelong creative passion, and Kenny set out to establish his own unique voice in American music. Crowley moved westward and first cut his musical-teeth in a professional sense in the funky streets of San Francisco, where he performed in several bands before he eventually wrote &amp; released his debut solo album in 2014, High on the World. Recorded in the infamous Hyde Street Studios, this album was a collaboration of some of the Bay Area’s finest, and served to establish Crowley as a capable band leader and worthy song-crafter. After the album's successful release and subsequent string of supporting performances, Kenny revisited his Appalachian roots and relocated to the mountains of Asheville, North Carolina. There he joined Southern jam rock outfit The Freeway Jubilee. For seven years he “held down the low end” on the bass, wrote and sang well-loved tunes and toured the country with Freeway, pouring his heart out on stage nightly. As a key creative member, he spearheaded much of the songwriting and production on the band's 2017 release ‘Revolution Road’ and fully took the reins on production of the 2021 release ‘On the Horizon’. Both albums were well received by a grassroots following of fans, and had tracks that charted on <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="http://jambands.com/">Jambands.com</a> National Radio Charts. Stepping out on his own again in 2023 and relocating to Santa Fe, New Mexico, Kenny returns to southwestern stages as a solo artist (sometimes with friends), armed with his trusty guitar and new experiences to share, and often accompanied in harmony by the angelic vocals of his wife Rebekah Wiggins. His dynamic blend of rock and roll swagger combined with a folksy purity aims to disarm listeners and offer a gateway into their own heart space. Something about that high desert air, Crowley has been struck by the muse again in recent years and has compiled a culmination of new and powerful songs he is eager to share.

Unit B Day!

Jung Mudra is the musical moniker of Mohit Dubey, an Indian-German artist raised in Santa Fe (O’gah P’ogeh) and now based in Oakland (Ohlone land). His sound lives somewhere between folk, indie, and soul — “folk with a beat and a little bit of soul,” as Van Morrison might say — with lyrics that explore time, place, and relationships through a warm, nostalgic lens. Backed by a talented rhythm section featuring Cyrus Campbell on bass and Jonah Minkus on drums, Jung Mudra’s songs carry the imprint of landscapes — from the mesas of New Mexico to the California coast — and the emotional terrain of love, loss, and becoming. Mohit’s debut EP shadowave was released in May 2025, accompanied by a mini-tour, and a full-length record is currently in the works.

Lily Pinto is returning to Unit B once again and we can't wait to see this up and coming star again! Lily's music is a unique blend of pop, folk and alternative elements, with deeply felt lyrics and superb musicianship. She will be joined on stage with the amazing Georgie Hahn on bass and vocals, and brother, Gray Pinto on vocals and drums.Lamby, Georgina Hahn’s Southwest music project, will open the show with their genre-bending, creatively charged sound. The trio features Georgina Hahn on guitar and lead vocals, Paris Mancini on bass, and Dan Cuatt on drums.Lily is passionate about&nbsp;blending the raw honesty of folk with the structures of modern pop. Her songs are intimate and unflinching—rooted in deep feeling and sharp observation. With a voice that carries both strength and vulnerability, she writes music that speaks to change, longing, and what it means to be human. It's a sound that feels grounded and expansive all at once—familiar, yet entirely her own.&nbsp;She hopes people can enter her musical world and feel a part of something bigger, to be comforted, not alone and connected to themselves and each other.

Bassist/songwriter/producer Susan Holmes has been a valued member of the musical family along the Santa Fe-Albuquerque corridor for years, laying down solid lines and rhythms for everyone from Bill and Bonnie Hearne to the Santa Fe All-Stars, David Berkeley, the Alpha Cats, Rosie Flores, Shannon McNally, Max Gomez, Boris McCutcheon and more. Join us for a special evening&nbsp;with singer/songwriter Jono Manson, along with a band featuring many of his long-time friends and collaborators: Jono Manson is a prolific singer-songwriter, instrumentalist, master storyteller, and an accomplished audio engineer and producer, who started his first band at age seven and never looked back. During a storied career spanning over five decades he has played everywhere from the local dive to Madison Square Garden and has amassed an impressive discography that includes major label and indie releases on three continents. Jono has produced albums for Grammy winners and local heroes alike. Born and raised in New York City, he has made his home in Santa Fe for the past 34 years and has put down deep roots in the local community. Manson's songs are diverse and genre-bending, drawing on roots, rock, soul, pop and country traditions as they paint vivid portraits of resilient characters standing tall in the face of time’s relentless march, and his performances are similarly determined, delivered with a passion and conviction that’s as honest as it is empathetic. Manson has shared the stage with Pete Seeger and backed up Bo Diddley. He has travelled to Pakistan as part of his long-standing collaboration with sindhi sufi/rock stars The Sketches, and played on an album by Dean Ween. He appeared in a Kevin Costner film, which used one of his songs as the central theme, and wrote the official song for his kid's elementary school. He has co-written with and produced albums for American Idol finalist Crystal Bowersox, John Popper, toured with Joan Osborne, and shepherded countless projects for local musicians. Bassist Ronnie Johnson has recorded and toured with James McMurtly, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Ronnie Lane and Ian MacLagen of The Faces, to name just a few. Drummer Mark Clark has worked with everyone from Cat Stevens to Ottmar Leibert to Blues Traveler's&nbsp;John Popper and remains one of the most in demand musicians in the New Mexico community&nbsp;and beyond. Multi-instrumentalist Jon Graboff has recorded and toured with Ryan Adams, Willie Nelson, Shooter Jennings, Cyndi Lauper, and the list goes on. Pianist James Raymond produced and co-wrote several records with his birth-father David Crosby and has&nbsp;written songs for David Crosby, Crosby/Nash, co-written with Michael McDonald, Donald Fagen and played on records by Warren Zevon and many, many others.

Their sold-out 2024 appearance was a crowd favorite.What The What could be called the "trio different".&nbsp; Formed in 2013 by well-traveled Santa Fe natives Jon Gagan , J.Q. Whitcomb, and Robby Rothschild, the group fuses diverse elements of funk, jazz and world into a unique and compelling sound. With a style described as "earthy and inviting", they defy categorization while at the same time evoking the familiar with their original compositions. What the What’s&nbsp; eponymous CD was released in July 2015.Bassist Jon Gagan is best known for his 30 + year association with renown guitarist Ottmar LIebert.&nbsp; In addition to playing bass on over 25 Liebert albums, (including several RIAA-certified gold and platinum and Grammy-nominated titles) Jon also scored a full-length string orchestra concert for Liebert. The show was performed by Liebert's trio along with The NM Philharmonic to a sold-out crowd at Popejoy Hall in March of 2023. As as a freelance sideman, Gagan has performed with Milt Jackson, Eddie Harris, Dave Grusin, Christopher Cross, Big Al Anderson, Nat Adderley,, Emily Remler and Mose Allison, among many others. He has also released a series of solo albums on LIebert's SSRI label, Transit 1-3. &nbsp;Recent recording work includes bass tracks featured on “Santa Fe Style” by Spanish guitarist/singer Juan Jose Alba and “Alone” by the sister duo Carly and Martina.Trumpet player J.Q. Whitcomb holds a BM in jazz performance from Oberlin University as well as a Master's in jazz performance from Julliard. While at Oberlin, he studied trumpet with Marcus Belgrave and Kenny Davis. After receiving his bachelor's degree, J.Q. relocated to Shanghai, China, where he worked steadily for 8 years as a jazz artist and educator. He was featured as a guest artist with internationally-acclaimed jazz artists Sinne Eeg and Martin Schack quartet on a tour of Denmark.&nbsp; He also performed at the Copenhagen Jazz festival in 2008 and 2011, as well as the 2011 Ribe Jazz festival.&nbsp; In 2016,. J. Q. was commisioned by The New Mexico Jazz Workshop to compose a piece for thier 40th anniversary.&nbsp; He has two albums as a leader: Airports, and Tales Of Enchantment.Robby Rothschild on percussion has studied many forms of music with teachers all over the world, and earned a master's degree in composition from UNM. He performs his original songs regularly with the acclaimed band Round Mountain and as a solo artist, bringing his varied background to bear in a unique and powerful songwriting style. In addition, he has worked with Thomas Mapfuno, Peter Yarrow, and Guinean griot Prince Diabate, He is currently the touring percussionist for both Ottmar Liebert and Kip Winger.&nbsp;

Original World Folk Music from the Heart of New Mexico Santa Fe brothers Robby and Char Rothschild bring traditions together in their songwriting to create original world folk music, including instruments like the West African kora, Irish bouzouki, trumpet, accordion, and Thracian gaida. Drawing inspiration from Appalachia, Ireland, the Balkans, and beyond, their music is nonetheless deeply connected to New Mexico. Joined by long time bassist and collaborator Jon Gagan, their sound is at times rhythmic and propulsive, at times introspective, and always soulful.Char and Robby’s musical journey together began with the band Lizard House, a Santa Fe pop phenomenon of the 1990’s. Subsequent projects as backing musicians included the Afro funk band Panjea, Irish trio The Selkies, and the Reverend Carol King Kong. In 2002, the brothers began as a duo playing their own music - busking in the old Santa Fe farmers’ market in the early mornings of summer. By 2004 they had released their first record, enlisted Jon Gagan as their bassist, and begun to tour. At their gigging peak, they played 150 gigs a year, regionally and on both coasts. After a hiatus of 5 years, they returned in 2023, following the need to heal themselves with music, which has not abated to this day.

Unit B is proud to bring Seanchai back to the Unit B stage. They rocked their last three shows, thrilling the audience with original and traditional Celtic tunes. Hailing from the US and Ireland, Seanchai (shawn-a-key) combines an eclectic mix of celtic and folk music. With a line up of guitar, viola and bodhran (bow-ron), Seanchai illustrates a landscape of lively melodies and sentimental airs, transporting the listener to the green hills of Ireland and beyond. These are incredible musicians with many improvisational elements.

He began studying piano at the age of six and by his early teens, he was performing with R&amp;B, rock, and jazz bands. In 1995, James learned what to attribute some of his talent to when he learned that his birth father was two-time rock and roll hall of famer, David Crosby.&nbsp;The two went on to form a 30-year collaboration, first with the group CPR, then years of touring with Crosby, Stills &amp; Nash, writing and recording for Crosby-Nash. James then went on to co-write and produce Crosby’s last three critically acclaimed solo albums. The most recent release, For Free, features co-writing with two of James’ lifelong musical heroes — Michael McDonald and Donald Fagan. After the passing of Crosby in January of 2023, James was inspired to begin a solo record as a tribute to David's love of the pairing of piano and acoustic guitar. It has since become a sweeping instrumental project featuring some of James and David’s favorite musicians.James decamped from Los Angeles to Santa Fe, New Mexico, in 2023 and has immensely enjoyed joining the music scene there, collaborating with local musicians Jono Manson, Jon Gagan, Robbie Rothschild, KT Tunstall and others, as well as working with National Dance Institute-NM.

The show was performed by Liebert's trio along with The NM Philharmonic to a sold-out crowd at Popejoy Hall in March of 2023.&nbsp;As a freelance sideman, Gagan has performed with Milt Jackson, Eddie Harris, Dave Grusin, Christopher Cross, Big Al Anderson, Nat Adderley,, Emily Remler and Warren Vaché, among many others.A prolific composer, Jon has also released a series of solo albums on LIebert's SSRI label, Transit 1-3. Among other side projects are "What The What" (2015)&nbsp; "Electric" (2018), and Still Life (2024). Recent recording work includes bass tracks featured on “Santa Fe Style” by Spanish virtuoso guitarist/singer Juan Jose Alba and “Alone” by the sister duo Carly and Martina.

THE CELTIC EXPERIENCEUnit B is proud to bring Seanchai back to the Unit B stage. They rocked their last two shows, thrilling the audience with original and traditional Celtic tunes. Hailing from the US and Ireland, Seanchai (shawn-a-key) combines an eclectic mix of celtic and folk music. With a line up of guitar, viola and bodhran (bow-ron), Seanchai illustrates a landscape of lively melodies and sentimental airs, transporting the listener to the green hills of Ireland and beyond. These are incredible musicians with many improvisational elements.
