Both fronting bands and also alongside living legends John Primer and Lurrie Bell both of whom have direct links to the old masters of the blues. Join us for a unique evening with Jono Manson, and an exceptional band of New Mexico's leading musicians who are also his long-time friends and collaborators.Jono Manson is an internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter, instrumentalist, and master storyteller whose career spans over five decades. From the dive bars of New York City to the stage at Madison Square Garden and beyond, Manson has built an extraordinary life in music as a performer, producer, and audio engineer. His diverse, genre-bending work draws on roots, rock, soul, pop, and country traditions, often delivered with humor and always with honest conviction. Jono comes from a family full of creative people. His mother was a principal dancer for the Martha Graham company and his cousins are filmmakers Joel and Ethan Coen, so it's not surprising that he formed his first all-original band at the age of seven, and never looked back. Starting his professional journey in the 1970s, Manson became a central figure in the NYC underground scene. His band, Joey Miserable and The Worms, was credited by The New York Times as "local heroes" who influenced and mentored a generation of young musicians, including the likes of Joan Osborne, who hailed them as “master entertainers” who “always had the crowds eating out of their hands.” From the beginning, Manson learned his craft through interactions with other musicians rather than through formal training, and to this day his collaborative spirit remains legendary. He has shared the stage with Pete Seeger, backed Bo Diddley, and maintained a long-standing creative partnership with John Popper of Blues Traveler. From writing and producing projects for American Idol finalist Crystal Bowersox, to travelling to Pakistan as part of his ongoing collaboration with Sindhi sufi/rock stars The Sketches, to producing albums for Italian rockers The Gang, to writing music for a Kevin Cosner film and collaborating with KT Tunstall, Manson continues the work of an inspired artist determined to forge his legacy one song at a time. Throughout his career, he has amassed an impressive discography of major label and indie releases across three continents. Based in Santa Fe, NM since 1992, he is the founder and chief engineer of "The Kitchen Sink" recording studio. A seven-time "Producer of the Year" recipient at the New Mexico Music Awards, Manson has nurtured projects for Grammy winners and local artists alike, and has collaborated with Tom Paxton, Warren Haynes, Eliza Gilkyson, Amanda Palmer, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Tim Grimm, T Bone Burnette, David Berkeley, Tom Russell, Gary Nicholson, Edoardo Bennato, The Mother Hips, The Limeliters, and the list goes on. He has done all of this while continuing to record and perform his own music, far and wide.Dinner and cocktails starting at 5:30 pm. Showtime is 7:00 pm. Reservations highly recommended after purchasing tickets.

“It’s like the guitar has been given free rein to play itself!” French acoustic guitar virtuoso, vocalist, and composer Pierre Bensusan, surnamed “Mister DADGAD”, has taken his unique sound to all corners of the globe.Winner of the Independent Music Award for his triple live album "Encore", voted Best World Music Guitarist by Guitar Player Magazine readers’ Poll, winner of the Rose d’Or at the Montreux Festival for his debut album, Pierre is recognized as one of the greatest guitar players of the 21st century. When Michael Hedges titles one of his compositions “Bensusan”, you know that the inspiration behind it must be special, and Pierre Bensusan certainly is. Guitarists from Leo Kottke to Larry Corryel, to Tuck Andress, Tommy Emmanuel, Mark Knopfler, Andrew York, Andy Timmons, Pat Metheny, and Steve Lukather… have sung his praises, and Steve Vai released three Bensusan albums on his label Favored Nations. And it's not just guitarists who are so inspired by Pierre's music, as a recent studio collaboration with him on Donny Osmond’s latest album “Start Again” goes to show.If World Music means the fusion of traditional, contemporary, jazz, classical, and pop music, then Bensusan is one of the most eloquent World Music musicians of our time. A pianist in his beginnings, then self-taught on the guitar, the originality of his style makes him one of today’s greatest guitarists and composers for the instrument. Also called “The Prince of DADGAD”, his story is far from trivial, and it is on stage that this artist has earned his stripes: among others, the Rose d'Or of the Montreux Festival, and being elected Best Guitarist of World Music by the readers of Guitar Player Magazine! His triple album "Encore" won the Grand Prix at the Independent Music Awards in the Best Live Album category... Since his first performances in 1974 in France, the guitarist has sold half a million albums and given thousands of concerts around the globe, both solo and through numerous collaborations.Pierre Bensusan is an adventurer of unusual lands. His music is an intimate and orchestral hymn, a solo crossing on a multi-shell Lowden guitar subjected to the natural elements with sound molecules and finger pulp on an ebony fingerboard for open tuning - a unique and transparent technique, under the fingers of an adventurous pilgrim. Christina Martos and Kristin Ditlow return to Unit B for an encore performance of “A Kurt Weill Cabaret: From Berlin to Broadway.”Kurt Weill’s (1900-1950) life and music were a captivating fusion of high art and popular culture, laced with sharp social commentary. He uniquely bridged European and American musical worlds, drawing inspiration from cabaret, jazz, and Broadway. This performance chronicles his remarkable career, beginning in the vibrant, yet edgy, cabarets of 1920s Berlin, where his classical training met a passion for subversive culture. Forced to flee Nazi Germany in 1933, his music banned and labeled “degenerate”, he spent a brief but influential period in Paris, adapting dramatic salon styles for the stage. His final chapter unfolded in New York in 1935, where he embraced American musical idioms, forging a distinctive synthesis that conquered Broadway.Join us for a journey through his most celebrated repertoire, including“Surabaya Johnny”, “Je ne t’aime pas”, “Speak Low”, ”Lost in the Stars”, “My Ship”, “The Saga of Jenny”, and the iconic “Mack the Knife”, all performed in their original languages by the exceptional talents of vocalist Christina Martos and pianist Kristin Ditlow. Christina Martos Born an Army brat, Christina Martos proudly considers New Jersey her home state. As a multidisciplinary performer, she brings a rich flair to the stage that is deeply flavored by her Dominican, Puerto Rican, and Argentine roots. Since making New Mexico her home in 2008, she has enjoyed participating in New Mexico’s vibrant arts scene, though her storytelling journey has taken her from the hallowed halls of Yale and Carnegie Mellon to some of the most prestigious stages in the country. With a versatility that moves effortlessly between the drama of the opera house and the intimacy of jazz and musical theater, Christina appeared on the stages of the Washington National Opera (L'elisir D'amore, Gianni Schicchi, and Jenufa) and took on the poignant title role of Annina in Menotti's The Saint of Bleecker Street at Central City Opera. Whether she is playing the Nurse in New Canon Theater Company's Romeo & Juliet (Carmel, CA) or exploring contemporary stories in Sunday in the Park with George, Cebollas, and Laughs in Spanish at the Santa Fe Playhouse, Christina finds the heartbeat of every character she inhabits. Her concert career includes appearances with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Miami's New World Symphony, and the Marilyn Horne Foundation Festival at Carnegie Hall. Closer to home, she has performed with Opera Southwest (Doña Clementina, Dolores, The Farolitos of Christmas), the Chamber Orchestra of the Springs in Colorado Springs, and Albuquerque's Chatter series. From performing Beethoven with the Yale Philarmonic and American Youth Symphony to the intimate stage at Unit B, Christina invites you to lean in and share in the magic of a story well told. Kristin Ditlow Pianist, conductor and coach Kristin Ditlow is enjoying a performance and teaching career throughout the United States and abroad. She has appeared in concerts throughout North America, mainland China, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Hungary, Austria, and the Czech Republic. Her solo debut piano CD, Passages, has received national accolades. Harry Musselwhite of the Rome News-Tribune wrote that “the recording … is sonically breathtaking and her playing ranges from intimate pianistic thoughts to thundering room-shaking outbursts. She is a consummate interpreter.” In a review by musicologist Ralph Locke, Boston’s The Arts Fuse remarks, “I have played this album repeatedly for weeks … [the performances] are deeply affectionate: I sometimes felt I could hear Ditlow thinking about the (silent) words, noticing a surprising modulation, or responding to the tension-and-release within a musical phrase.” Travel, wonder and exploration are greatly important to this artist – and her playing reflects it. Critics have hailed her performances as “fiery, with great thrusts of energy” (Bethlehem Morning Call), and containing a “burnished color and sense of passion” (The Philadelphia Inquirer). Her foundational training has been as a classical pianist. Yet, she has branched out into conducting, artist teaching, arranging, improvising and composing. Her love of musical collaborations dovetails into her solo performances, and her virtuoso technique and musicianship inform her presence at the keyboard and on the podium.Ditlow holds degrees from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, Westminster Choir College, and a Doctorate of Musical Arts from the Eastman School of Music, with further training at the Tanglewood Music Center, San Francisco Opera Center (Merola), and the Franz Schubert Institut. She holds the titles of Associate Professor of Vocal Coaching at the University of New Mexico and Music Director of the University of New Mexico Opera Theatre.Dinner and cocktails starting at 5:30 pm. John Calvin Abney rises again from the Oklahoman prairies with his latest album Transparent Towns, available September 19 on his own Tin Canyon Records, via Well Kept Secret / Secretly Distribution. The songs focus on how we remember, and ultimately accept, though he is not always certain the memories we carry adequately mark the moments that make us.“This record is wrapped around the passage of time, whether or not we can trust the memories that we swear on, how we forgive ourselves and others as seasons turn, and how we define what is important as we roll the boulder back up the hill,” Abney says of Transparent Towns. “We build these routines and live our stories, we rely on our histories and our memories - spoken and recorded. Now, we’re relying on copies of copies, memories of memories, all packed like sardines into our phones, and we’re losing the ability to tell our own stories. I have to constantly remind myself, as well as redefine what matters at the end of a day.”Transparent Towns is the seventh studio album for Abney, and his first since 2022’s Tourist, which he crafted after spending the pandemic as an itinerant writer. In contrast Abney penned most of the album’s 10 tracks during a period of introspection and convalescence while recovering from vocal cord surgery in 2023. The time to himself - “I didn’t sing for nearly a year, and after surgery, I couldn’t talk for a month, and couldn’t sing for over three months,” he says, left him contemplating how to trace his experiences in the silence. The album’s title track is Abney’s take on the inaccessible past, witnessing loss and grief through the years, damning the “days we let go left unsaid”, and accepting the uncontrollable circumstances we are sometimes placed in. “The troubles and the joys exist vibrantly in your memory, but you’re wondering if you remember correctly,” Abney remarks. “I’ve sometimes had this sort of confusion between memory and dreams - you crafted this ideal in your head of how things were or might be, in order to soften the blow of a harsher reality.”The places we inhabit dictate how our memories form, and for Abney, there is one place to which he is constantly drawn: Oklahoma. Although he was born in the biggest little city in America, Reno, Nevada, he grew up learning guitar and piano in Tulsa, playing bars and DIY spaces from Norman to Stillwater. His affinity for the land that raised him is evident in the production of Transparent Towns.Abney self-produced the record, tracking most of it at Cardinal Song outside of Oklahoma City, with Michael Trepagnier handling mixing and engineering. The band was comprised mostly of Sooner State musicians too, along with Lydia Loveless and John Moreland contributing harmony vocals. His signature vulnerable voice and lyrical handiwork comes through in each of the songs, along with his penchant for alternative pop melodies set against colorful chords and subtle soundscapes.Having toured for years backing up artists like Moreland, Wild Child, Ben Kweller, and S.G. Goodman, Abney embraces a lead role again, as he presses forward with the loving lament and defiant joy throughout Transparent Towns, calling us to leave behind the pressures we place on our ourselves and recognize that just because there is an ending, it doesn’t mean it’s the end.Dinner and cocktails starting at 5:30 pm. Santa Fe brothers Robby and Char Rothschild bring traditions together in their songwriting to create original world folk music, including instruments like the West African kora, Irish bouzouki, trumpet, accordion, and Thracian gaida. Drawing inspiration from Appalachia, Ireland, the Balkans, and beyond, their music is nonetheless deeply connected to New Mexico. Joined by long time bassist and collaborator Jon Gagan, their sound is at times rhythmic and propulsive, at times introspective, and always soulful.Char and Robby’s musical journey together began with the band Lizard House, a Santa Fe pop phenomenon of the 1990’s. Subsequent projects as backing musicians included the Afro funk band Panjea, Irish trio The Selkies, and the Reverend Carol King Kong. In 2002, the brothers began as a duo playing their own music - busking in the old Santa Fe farmers’ market in the early mornings of summer. By 2004 they had released their first record, enlisted Jon Gagan as their bassist, and begun to tour. At their gigging peak, they played 150 gigs a year, regionally and on both coasts. After a hiatus of 5 years, they returned in 2023, following the need to heal themselves with music, which has not abated to this day.Dinner and cocktails starting at 5:30 pm. Showtime is 7:00 pm. At our core, we’re still just a band of friends chasing the same thing we started with - good songs, good company, and the kind of nights you don’t want to end… The Squash Blossom Boys started out in 2001 as a bunch of best friends trying to make loud noises in a garage... and somehow, people started showing up. Back then, it was more rock than roots, more feedback than fiddle. But somewhere around 2005, a mandolin wandered in, a banjo showed up uninvited, and we found ourselves knee-deep in bluegrass and country - and we’ve never looked back.Since then, we’ve hauled our instruments across dusty backroads, beer-soaked bars, and festival stages big and small.Over the years, the good folks at Weekly Alibi have been kind enough to name us Best Band in Albuquerque more than once, but our favorite award is still seeing boots tapping, kids dancing, and cold beers sweating in the crowd. Kipp Bentley brings The Night Letter Orchestra to Unit B for one special night celebrating the release of his new record Night Letter, produced by James Raymond. The evening features the full band of standout Santa Fe musicians who appear on the recording, performing the songs live for the first time together on stage. Nathan Dunton, a Unit B favorite, opens the show.Bentley’s songs find the quiet drama in everyday lives. And on Night Letter, he writes about people and places trying to hold their ground against time and change — long marriages, quiet towns, neon lit bars, lost loves, and the stubborn resilience it takes to keep a life together. With a full band behind him, the songs stretch out in new directions, moving easily between intimate storytelling and wide-open ensemble playing.A longtime songwriter, Bentley’s first album, Rose of Jericho, was named Album of the Year at the 2021 New Mexico Music Awards. He followed that in 2023 with Durable Goods, which received several awards nominations, strong local radio play and enthusiastic audience responses. Night Letter continues that trajectory with a set of a dozen songs rooted in the high desert landscapes of northern New Mexico.Born and raised in Indiana, a couple of generations removed from his family’s Jackson County farm, stories and music were always a part of Bentley’s life. His mother played piano and sang in church choirs, while his father — a California-born salesman with wide-ranging musical tastes — brought home library records by Leadbelly, Skip James, Billie Holiday, and other blues greats. As a teenager influenced by folk, rock and 70’s era singer-songwriters, he learned to play the family’s old Stella guitar and soon began writing his own songs. Through college he played solo and in bands, sometimes for rooms full of people, often not. After earning an art degree he moved to Colorado and began teaching. That eventually led to many years in Denver, where he continued writing songs and performing. During that time he was a longstanding member of The Schoolboys, a Denver dance band with the motto “Songs you love played by people you like.”These days Bentley performs regularly around Santa Fe and northern New Mexico. What he appreciates most about playing live is the moment when a room of strangers slowly becomes a room of listeners — when a song lands, a band locks in, and everyone feels like they’re part of the same small story unfolding in real time. And he’s still chasing the same things as when he first picked up that old Stella guitar: making songs that feel honest, useful, and worth keeping.
The Night Letter Orchestra
Kipp Bentley — acoustic guitar, vocals Nathan Dunton — backing vocals James Raymond — piano, B3 organ, other instruments Jon Gagan — upright & electric bass Mark Clark — drums Karina Wilson — violin Jon Graboff — pedal steel, electric guitar, mandolin Jono Manson — electric, tenor & baritone guitars Dinner and cocktails starting at 5:30 pm. Contemporary Blues for a modern world. Grounded in the past, rooted in the present and looking to the future.Russ Green, producer, singer, songwriter and harmonica player is steeped in the past, living in the present and looking towards the future. Predominantly based in blues he has also made the not so surprising foray in to rock. And just as exciting is his having been involved in creating and performing a blues-hip hop fusion.Russ has played and toured extensively across the U.S., Canada, South America and Europe. Both fronting bands and also alongside living legends John Primer and Lurrie Bell both of whom have direct links to the old masters of the blues. Russ also produced a CD for SiriusXM satellite radio personality on B.B. King’s Bluesville, Big Llou Johnson. That CD won a Blues Music Award for Best New Artist in 2013. Russ Green’s CD titled City Soul was selected as one of DownBeat Magazine’s Best of 2018. City Soul was also selected as one of Living Blues Magazine’s Best of the Decade. All of these experiences have made Russ Green something unique. A voice like no other, songwriting that pushes the envelope of what is the norm and harmonica playing that goes beyond the boundaries and with hints of Hendrix. Join us at Unit B for an evening of adventurous interpretations drawn from the extraordinary catalogue of Wayne Shorter — the legendary American composer, saxophonist, and one of the most influential musical voices of the modern jazz era.Rather than simply recreating the recordings, the James Raymond Quartet brings its own spirit of exploration to Shorter’s music: the mystery, lyricism, harmonic depth, and open-ended storytelling that made his compositions such enduring vehicles for improvisation. From the haunting beauty of his ballads to the driving, elliptical energy of his more searching works, this night will celebrate Shorter’s singular gift for writing music that feels both timeless and still ahead of its time.A night for jazz listeners, improvisers, and anyone drawn to music that invites you somewhere unexpected. James Raymond - piano (David Crosby, Ronnie Laws, Oleta Adams, CSN, Spice Girls)As an adopted child, James’ Raymond’s parents were keen to pick up on his musical gift early on. He began studying piano at the age of six and by his early teens, he was performing with R&B, rock, and jazz bands. In 1995, James learned what to attribute some of his talent to when he learned that his birth father was two-time rock and roll hall of famer, David Crosby. The two went on to form a 30-year collaboration, first with the group CPR, then years of touring with Crosby, Stills & Nash, writing and recording for Crosby-Nash. James then went on to co-write and produce Crosby’s last three critically acclaimed solo albums. The most recent release, For Free, features co-writing with two of James’ lifelong musical heroes — Michael McDonald and Donald Fagan.James decamped from Los Angeles to Santa Fe, New Mexico, in 2023 and has immensely enjoyed joining the music scene here. Soon to be touring with his band Lookout Mountain (the music of Laurel Canyon), James recently released the EP “Playing Day For Night” with local legend Jono Manson and is nominated for the Norman Petty Producer’s Award at this years New Mexico Music Awards for his work on Kipp Bentley’s “Night Letter” album. Jon Gagan - bass (Ottmar Liebert, Dave Grusin, Christopher Cross, Milt Jackson)Known for his 30+ year association with renowned guitarist Ottmar Liebert, playing bass on over 30 Liebert albums, including RIAA certified gold and platinum and Grammy-nominated titles. Jon has also written numerous string and horn arrangements and scored a full-length string orchestra concert for Liebert.Gagan has performed with Milt Jackson, Eddie Harris, Dave Grusin, Christopher Cross, Big Al Anderson, Nat Adderley, Emily Remler and Warren Vaché, among many others. A prolific composer, Jon has also released a series of solo albums on Liebert's SSRI label, Transit 1-3.Among other side projects are "What The What" (2015) "Electric" (2018), and Still Life (2024). Recent recording work includes bass tracks featured on “Santa Fe Style” by Spanish virtuoso guitarist/singer Juan Jose Alba and “Alone” by the sister duo Carly and Martina. Mark Clark - drumsMark Clark is a versatile percussion artist with several decades of experiences in performing, touring, recording and teaching music. His resume is as diverse as his varied abilities and comfort of execution of domestic and global styles of percussion performance practices. Since the mid- 1980s he has maintained a touring presence nationally and globally with The United States Air Force Band of the Golden West (1986-90), Ottmar Liebert (1992-2002), John Popper & The Duskray Troubadours (2011), Jono Manson (1995-present), Latin rock group Manzanares (2004-present), and the Jimmy Stadler Band (2012-present). Representative of his numerous television appearances are performances with Ottmar Liebert (Jay Leno, The Today Show, Regis and Kathy Lee, Univision Mexico), John Popper & The Duskray Troubadours (Lopez Tonight), and Manzanares (Bobby Flay and Anthony Bourdain). Additionally, he appears in such films as The Postman, King Pin and Eight Days A Week (with Jono Manson) and In Bye Bye Love (with James Taylor and Ben Taylor). He has played on more than 80+ recordings with artists such as Dan Fogelberg, James Taylor and Ben Taylor, Ottmar Liebert, John Popper, Jono Manson, Cat Stevens, Crystal Bowersox, Kip Winger, and the debut of John Popper & The Duskray Troubadours. Most recently, he recorded with John Popper & Jono Manson on ”Bootlegger Days” and with K.T. Tunstall on songs for the new musical “Clueless.” Prior to his current positions at New Mexico School of Music and the University of New Mexico, he was on the faculty at United World College in Montezuma, NM (2011-2014), Santa Fe School of Art & Design (2010-2014), Santa Fe School for the Arts and Sciences (2009-2010), and The College of Santa Fe (1999-2009). Mark Clark’s education includes Berklee School of Music, The Los Angeles Jazz Workshop, and private lessons with Alex Acuña, Alan Dawson, Pete Ahmal, Fred Simpson and Jesse Sawyer. Jeremy Harris - woodwindsKnown for his warm tone, melodic intelligence, and deeply musical approach to improvisation.A versatile player with a strong command of jazz language, Harris brings both lyricism and fire to the bandstand — equally at home navigating straight-ahead swing, modern harmonic landscapes, and more open, exploratory music. As a member of New Mexico’s active jazz community, Harris has performed in a variety of ensemble settings, including appearances with respected regional musicians such as Jon Gagan, Micky Patten, Jack Hanan, Holly Mead, and Robby Rothschild. He has been featured in Unit B’s jazz programming, including performances alongside several of Santa Fe and Albuquerque’s most accomplished players. For this evening’s tribute to Wayne Shorter, Harris brings a natural affinity for the saxophone’s expressive possibilities — from searching, conversational improvisation to the kind of spacious, storytelling phrasing that Shorter’s music invites. His playing balances technical command with emotional restraint, honoring the tradition while leaving room for the unexpected. With the James Raymond Quartet, Harris helps illuminate the mystery, beauty, and restless invention at the heart of Shorter’s compositions, bringing a distinctly New Mexican voice to music that continues to challenge and inspire generations of improvisers.Dinner and cocktails starting at 5:30 pm. Starting out over a decade ago in Santa Fe as a jazz cover band dedicated to the musical legacy of Ornette Coleman, the members of OrnEtc turned to playing their own compositions. These striking and engaging original pieces will be front and center during this performance by an incredible group of musicians: Jerry Weimer on saxophones and clarinet, Dan Pearlman on cornet, Lee Steck on vibraphone, Noah Baumeister on bass, and Dave Wayne on drum set.The music of OrnEtc honors ancestral sources via their dedication to the iconoclasm of those who came before them: Musical legends like Wayne Shorter, Thelonious Monk, Charles Mingus and Ornette Coleman. The music of Ornette Coleman was a tremendous breakthough when it first came out in 1958, and its ability to get out of the box is just as important today. Dinner, wine and craft cocktails at 5:30. The most recent release, For Free, features co-writing with two of James’ lifelong musical heroes — Michael McDonald and Donald Fagan. After the passing of Crosby in January of 2023, James was inspired to begin a solo record as a tribute to David's love of the pairing of piano and acoustic guitar. It has since become a sweeping instrumental project featuring some of James and David’s favorite musicians.James decamped from Los Angeles to Santa Fe, New Mexico, in 2023 and has immensely enjoyed joining the music scene there, collaborating with local musicians Jono Manson, Jon Gagan, Robbie Rothschild, KT Tunstall and others, as well as working with National Dance Institute-NM. Here Comes The Sun!

This show is part intimate concert, part storytelling. Audience members will be invited (anonymously if they like) to write a tiny story, character sketch, or even a single word on a notecard. They will be read aloud from the stage, and Holly will improvise a musical embodiment of each idea in real time, so the night becomes a collaborative musical experience. The interactive portion of the evening will be bookended by original tunes in Holly’s signature neo-classical-jazz-folk-fusion style, with hints of George Winston, Lyle Mays, and Nils Frahm. Bio: Pianist, improviser, and composer Holly Mead (HollyMeadMusic.com) grew up in a musical home in Missouri where “music parties” were a regular occurrence. Friends and local musicians would gather in the living room to share songs and stories. Her mother sang with the St. Louis Chamber Chorus, and her father insists he gave Holly all of his musical talent and kept none for himself...when in fact, he is responsible for Holly’s favorite lifelong game. He would sit on the staircase by the family piano and call out scenes ("thunderstorm!"), and Holly would improvise them on the spot. That spirit of play and shared creation runs through her work to this day. Holly’s work has been featured at Lincoln Center with Pop-Up Magazine, and she recently completed a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Music Studies at Berklee in 2025. She is also the author of Coda's Tale (CodasTale.com), a series of piano instruction books that combines storytelling, original compositions, and guided improvisations to teach music theory and improvisation in a fun, engaging way. Now based in Santa Fe, Holly performs her own original music and creates improvisation-based shows that invite listeners into the creative process.Dinner and cocktails starting at 5:30 pm. Showtime is 7:00 pm. Reservations highly recommended.

The songs of Glorieta Pines are inspired by the happenings of the world as seen through the lens of the American Southwest. The quartet—Brian Nelson (guitars, percussion), Lindsay Taylor (mandolin, tenor guitar, flutes, fiddle), Karina Wilson (fiddle), and Todd Lovato (bass)—combines insightful songwriting, layered arrangements, and tight vocal harmonies, creating a distinctive blend of indie-acoustic music with touches of old-time fiddle tradition.Glorieta Pines originated in 2020 as a duo between spouses Lindsay Taylor and Brian Nelson, with early performances including official virtual concerts for both the Brighton Fringe and Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2021. The addition of Karina Wilson in 2022 and Todd Lovato in 2025 expanded the duo’s sound into a richly textured quartet, featuring extended instrumental passages and deeper sonic range. As Daniel Donnelly of Mumble Music writes, “They sang with joy together; harmonizing to make the sounds of their voices become emotionally complete.” Opening Set: Cheri Gonzales & Ben Horne (of Color) The evening will open with a special duo performance by Cheri Gonzales and Ben Horne of the five-piece band Color, stripping things back for an intimate set of originals and thoughtfully chosen covers. Featuring keys, guitar, and vocals, their music blends singer-songwriter storytelling with touches of soul and blues, delivering a heartfelt, groove-aware sound perfectly suited to an intimate room. In Simone’s music & improvisations you can hear J.S. Bach‘s impressions and even direct quotes from his fugues and preludes. Simone admired Bach for his composition. In her autobiography she recalls how her rendition of Love Me Or Leave Me came out of an attempt to compose a Bach-like Fugue.John Rangel is a multi–award-winning pianist, composer, and producer based in Santa Fe, NM.
